TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

8:05 a.m., graffiti — Graffiti was reported on a one-way traffic sign on  Theall Street.

8:05 a.m., graffiti — Graffiti was reported on North Green Street.

10:53 a.m., theft — A handicap placard was stolen Thursday on Guzzi Lane.

5:58 p.m., public intoxication — An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and contributing to the delinquency of a minor at the skatepark on Greenley Road. Police released the juvenile to his mother.

SATURDAY

1:25 p.m., public intoxication — A 42-year-old man was arrested on Mono Way on suspicion of public intoxication, and violating the city’s open container law and the terms of his probation.

5:05 p.m., drugs — Someone reported people talking about selling drugs on the 1000 block of Sanguinetti Road. Police were unable to locate the people.

9:10 p.m., traffic accident — A Dodge Durango collided with a telephone pole on South Stewart Street. Police could not find the driver. The vehicle was towed and PG&E was notified.

SUNDAY

12:55 a.m., traffic violation — A 63-year-old woman was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended license at South Washington and Gold streets.

4:11 a.m., suspicious person — Someone called in a suspicious man in front of a business on the 1000 block of Mono Way. Police were unable to locate him.

11:30 a.m., suspicious person — An officer observed a man standing next to a vehicle on Mill Villa Court. When the officer approached the vehicle, the man was gone. 

4:48 p.m., drugs — A woman was cited and released for unlawful possession of medical drugs on South Shepherd Street.

5:07 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman said someone came into her home looking for drugs and prior tenants on South Stewart Street. 

8:23 p.m., threats — Someone reported a disturbance involving “firearm-related threats,” but officers concluded no crime was committed on Oak Street.

9:53 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone said a woman called him asking if he wanted to buy tools on an unknown address.

MONDAY

12:02 a.m., fight — Someone said a man was trying to start a fight on the 800 block of Sanguinetti Road. He was given a ride home.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

9:10 a.m., Sonora area — A woman’s identity was stolen and she received a letter from a collection agency in Montana. She was unsure when the identity theft occurred.

9:17 a.m., Sonora area — A motorhome on the 21600 block of Fortuna Mine Road was egged Thursday night.

11:03 a.m., Jamestown — A business on the 18100 block of Main Street was vandalized.

12:40 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said her brother parked his trailer at her home on the 20600 block of North Sunshine Road and stole water and electricity.

4:01 p.m., Sonora area — A 22-year old woman and a 23-year-old woman, both of La Grange, were arrested on suspicion of petty theft from a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

4:56 p.m., Jamestown — Equipment worth about $700 was stolen from the porch of a residence on the 18200 block of Golden Oaks Drive.

6:08 p.m., Jamestown — Alcohol and other items were stolen from a refrigerator in a garage on the 10600 block of Jim Brady Road.

SATURDAY

1:56 a.m., Sonora area — An ambulance was called to a home on the 12900 block of Mountain View Road for a fall victim. The injured person, a 58-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of violation of probation.

11:54 a.m., Twain Harte — A man said people were squatting on his property at Italian Bar and Grant Ridge roads and he was concerned about the fire pit they had built.

12:08 p.m., La Grange — Vandalism was reported at Lake Don Pedro.

12:13 p.m., Jamestown — A vehicle was broken into at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park and a backpack was stolen.

2:18 p.m., Jamestown — A 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 18100 block of Main Street.

8:19 p.m., Jamestown — A 12-pack of Bud Light Lime-A-rita and two tall cans of Strawberry Joose, a malt beverage, were stolen from a business on the 18100 block of Highway 108.

10:39 p.m., Tuolumne — A pipe containing cocaine residue was found on the floor of a business on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North.

FRIDAY

8:48 a.m., Sonora area — Richard Patrick Nelson, 37, of the 12100 block of Campo Seco Road, was booked on suspicion of willful infliction of corporal injury and damaging a telephone line after an arrest at his home.

SATURDAY

3:17 a.m., Jamestown area — Kyle Flynn Garcia, 53, of an unknown address on Oxbow Lane, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs after an arrest on Highway 120 west of O’Byrnes Ferry Road. He was also booked on misdemeanor charges of using or being under the influence of drugs and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

9:20 p.m., Sonora area — Fabian Meneses, 37, of the 2800 block of Marina Court, Merced, was booked on suspicion of possession of narcotics and transporting or selling narcotics after an arrest at South Washington and Church streets. He was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.

9:20 p.m., Sonora area — Efren Edward Ortez, 38, of the 400 block of Iroquois Avenue, Merced, was booked on suspicion of possession of narcotics after an arrest at South Washington and Church streets. He was also booked on misdemeanor charges of violation of probation and possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.

1:47 a.m., Jamestown — Sondra Anne Ledsome, 21, of the 18400 block of Carter Street, Tuolumne, was booked after an arrest on Main Street at Humbug Street. She was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of using or being under the influence of drugs.

8:46 p.m., Jamestown — Kathleen Cheryl VanWinkle, 49, of the 18100 block of Seventh Street, was booked after an arrest on Golden Oaks Drive at Campo Seco Road. 

11:02 p.m., Sonora area — Stephanie Rae Bettner, 26, of an unknown address in Twain Harte, was booked after an arrest on Mono Way.

SATURDAY

8:45 p.m., Sonora area — Victor Franco, 40, of the 200 block of South S Street, Merced, was booked after an arrest at South Washington and Church streets.

8:35 p.m., Soulsbyville — James Andrew Halstead, 29, of the 14500 block of Lolly Lane, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Draper Mine at Soulsbyville roads. He was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

11:54 a.m., Arnold — A road sign was stolen and a business sign was damaged at Venado and Fairway drives.

1:33 p.m., Valley Springs — A stolen firearm was reported at a business on the 100 block of Nove Way.

1:54 p.m., West Point — A property on Bald Mountain Road was burglarized.

2:23 p.m., Copperopolis — Fraud was reported on Aphrodite Court.

7:29 p.m., San Andreas — A bicycle was stolen on the 400 block of West Saint Charles Street.

SATURDAY

10:39 a.m., Arnold — Someone reported a theft after realizing a stop sign was missing from Dalmatia and Fairway drives.

11:10 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — People were arguing over rights to a dog pen on Lombardi Drive.

11:32 a.m., West Point — A fight was reported on Lily Gap Road after someone threw something at another person’s vehicle.

3:57 p.m., Camp Connell — An unknown number of people were skinny dipping at the Sourgrass Day Use Area.

10:16 p.m., Dorrington — Several people were seen running through the forest near the 2800 block of Highway 4 with a lit torch.

11:49 p.m., Dorrington — People lit a bonfire on Snoshone Drive and were playing loud music.

SUNDAY

11:12 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — A report was taken for a disturbance after someone called while in an argument with a man on Lombardi Drive.

11:59 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A trespasser was reported on Mountain Ranch Road.

12:35 p.m., Murphys — A report was taken for a family dispute after a disturbance on French Gulch Road.

1:09 p.m., Arnold — Someone reported a suspicious open door at a business on the 2100 block of Highway 4. 

2:32 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone reported a mountain bike stolen at Acorn Campground on South Petersburg Road.

4:29 p.m., Mountain Ranch — Grand theft was reported on Jesus Maria Road.

5:52 p.m., San Andreas — Someone said three girls were outside yelling and screaming on Lewis Avenue. 

7:13 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone said a person was causing problems and spreading rumors at a business on the 100 block of California Street. 

8:14 p.m., Avery — A “12 x 24” section of oak log was stolen from a property on Love Creek Road, someone said.

MONDAY

1:34 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A woman was heard screaming on Jesus Maria Road.

2:30 a.m., Angels Camp — A woman said her husband just beat her and fled on South Main Street. A baby was heard crying in the background, but the woman disconnected when the dispatcher tried to get more information.

11:30 a.m., San Andreas — Ronald Gilbert Rosales, 54, of the 1300 block of Paradise Road, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle after an arrest on the 2300 block of Fifth Street, Ceres, and brought to Calaveras County.

SATURDAY

12:47 a.m., Valley Springs — Macario Ray Gurion, 22, of the 600 block of Bald Mountain Road, West Point, was booked on suspicion of being a felon and possessing ammunition after an arrest at Highway 26 and Main Street. 

11:18 p.m., San Andreas — Joseph Frank Solar III, 39, of the 1800 block of Gold Strike Road, was booked on suspicion of forging checks and second-degree burglary after an arrest on the 300 block of Main Street. 

SUNDAY

9:53 a.m., Arnold — Darci Ann Leavitt, 35, of the 2700 block of McKenzie Avenue, was booked on suspicion of criminal possession of an access card, forgery, forging one’s name on another’s access card, using someone else’s access card for monetary gain and grand theft after an arrest at her home. 

4:41 p.m., Vallecito — Andrew John Voyer, 19, of the 8800 block of Bergano Circle, Stockton, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on Camp Nine Road.

11 p.m., San Andreas — Raven Marie Chapter, 29, of the 400 block of Russell Road, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant after an arrest at her home.

3:54 a.m., Angels Camp area — Matthew Allen Kellogg, 36, of the 22100 block of Becky River Lane, Sonora, was booked after an arrest at the Stevenot Bridge on Highway 49.

2:28 p.m., San Andreas — Ricardo Rosales Rivera Jr., 36, of the 4300 block of High Country Road, was booked after an arrest at North Main Street and Dogtown Road. 

12:39 a.m., Angels Camp — Jerry Louis Judd, 46, of the 5400 block of Messing Road, Valley Springs, was booked after an arrest on the 100 block of South Main Street. 

11 p.m., Arnold — Cassandra Bree Arent, 34, of the 100 block of Oak Tree Court, Murphys, was booked after an arrest at Mill Creek Road.
