The Sonora Police Department reported the following:
4:06 a.m., harassment — A woman was harassing a taxi driver in the parking lot of a business on the 300 block of South Washington Street. She was told to leave the person alone.
8:32 a.m., theft — A man said his belongings were stolen on the 100 block of South Green Street.
11:32 a.m., suspicious circumstances — Two men were under a tree in a parking lot consuming alcohol on the 900 block of Mono Way. They were gone when officers arrived.
12:29 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone said a man stabbed a business sign with a knife on the 100 block of South Washington Street. Officers concluded no damage was done to the sign, but unused needles were confiscated and taken to the hospital for destruction.
1:16 p.m., drugs — A man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after someone said they saw several people under the bridge on South Stewart Street.
2:28 p.m., disorderly conduct — A man said someone threw a bag of recycling at him on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road.
4:25 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone said two men parked, took off the license plates on their vehicle and “attached a paper plate to the rear,” then left southbound on South Washington Street from the 300 block.
The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:
9:19 a.m., Tuolumne — A woman said that someone stole her makeup bag valued at about $150 on July 18 when she was in a singing competition at a business on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North.
9:19 a.m., Soulsbyville — Someone said a woman looked high on something on the 20500 block of Willow Springs Drive. She stood on a picnic table, then fell off, and was waving her arms and bobbing her head. She was gone when deputies arrived.
9:20 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — Someone said a man kicked in his door and threatened him with a pipe on the 20600 block of Chief Fuller Way. The man was arrested for vandalism and on a warrant for violation of probation.
9:34 a.m., Groveland — An argument got out of hand after a complaint about weeds being left in the roadway on the 22500 block of Prospect Heights.
11:50 a.m., Tuolumne — Someone reported fraudulent charges on his or her elderly mother’s credit card on the 18400 block of Elm Avenue.
11:53 a.m., Tuolumne — A man reported a trespasser taking pictures of his dogs on the 18500 block of Cedar Street. He said someone got on his property, took pictures of his dogs, created paintings of those pictures and is now trying to sell them.
12:48 p.m., Don Pedro area — A woman said someone broke into her parents’ camping trailer and stole a 12-gauge shotgun and a box of shells on the 5200 block of Avenida Lugo North.
12:56 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman wanted advice on how to handle a lewd act that occurred nearby the afternoon before on the 14100 block of Tuolumne Road. She said neighbors saw a man walk up to the driver’s side window of a vehicle and stuck his “pelvis” in. About five minutes later, he withdrew and zipped up his zipper. The caller was advised on trespassing enforcement.
1:31 p.m., Sonora area — Someone said they were told “if you do anything to harm my dogs, I will kill you,” on the 18300 block of Lime Kiln Road. The caller may have locked the person’s dogs in an RV trailer because they wouldn’t stop barking.
1:32 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone said a man stole a gate and other property after he was going to purchase the property and it didn’t work out at Diamond Placer Circle and Italian Bar Road.
1:46 p.m., Sonora — Someone wanted extra patrol nearby because he heard a man say he had a knife on him and “don’t come near me” on Chukar and Covey circles.
1:47 p.m., Pinecrest — Someone called in concern over an argument escalating between two young men and a woman, who said she had been disrespected, on the 400 block of Pinecrest Lake Road.
2:42 p.m., Crystal Falls — Someone called in three suspicious people on the 21700 block of Crystal Falls Drive. One woman was washing her underwear in an outdoor shower; another woman was staring blankly at the first woman; and a man was sleeping on a nearby bench, the caller said.
3:04 p.m., Sonora area — Someone said a mountain lion killed a deer Tuesday night near a house on the 20600 block of Meadow Brook Drive.
3:20 p.m., Sonora — A man said he was charged by a dog on the 16600 block of Allison Way.
3:25 p.m., Sonora — A woman said a man pushed her over and may have kicked her dog on the 16600 block of Allison Way. She is concerned because the man was originally trying to hit another woman, she said.
4:29 p.m., Sonora — Someone wanted to document that a man threatened to kill a friend’s dog on the 16600 block of Allison Way.
8:34 p.m., Columbia — A woman reported that she and her children received death threats on the 11400 block of Columbia Village Drive.
9:18 p.m., Sonora — A man said a woman was on his property without his permission on the 19800 block of Rough and Ready Trail. She was gone when deputies arrived.
11:38 p.m., Sonora — A woman said a man recently released from jail hit her in the face and threatened to kill her on the 2900 block of Mountain View Road. She left and did not want further police action.
2:37 a.m., Twain Harte — Someone said a man was screaming “bizarrely” on the 18800 block of Manzanita Drive. The caller said it is an ongoing problem.
9:30 p.m., Twain Harte — Michael Ronald Mandell, 64, of the 25600 block of Running Oak Drive, was booked on suspicion of willful infliction of corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant after an arrest at his home.
The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:
9:36 a.m., Arnold — Someone said they noticed an open door at a vacation home on Meadow Drive.
5:19 p.m., Copperopolis — A report was taken for a road rage incident on O’Byrnes Ferry Road.
7:32 p.m., Angels Camp — Someone was arrested on a warrant on South Main Street.
11:16 p.m., San Andreas — A report was taken for a fight on the 100 block of Main Street.
1:22 a.m., Angels Camp — Someone was arrested after a pursuit at Demarest and South Main streets.
