CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

8:59 a.m., Valley Springs — A homeowner on Gold Creek Drive said someone threw a flare at the house Monday night between 9:45 and 10 p.m. The caller heard the noise of it hitting the window and landing on an overhang above the exterior door but didn’t find the flare until the morning. The person said there have been ongoing vandalism to the house. Sheriff’s deputies took a report for damage to a wall.

9:19 a.m., West Point — A woman who lives on Stanley Road called because she was scared after someone she didn’t know jumped her fence. No report was taken after she determined it was possibly someone picking berries.

10:01 a.m., San Andreas — Someone said three to four men and women appeared to be smoking and drinking by the skate ramp in the corner of Turner Park on Treat Avenue.

12:12 p.m., Valley Springs — A woman who lives at a mobile home park on Sequoia Avenue said she wanted a man arrested for getting her arrested. She claimed that he set her up. No reports were filed.

12:53 p.m., Murphys — Someone spotted a FedEx truck driving on Highway 4 with its doors open and packages falling out.

1:11 p.m., Valley Springs — A man was hanging out in bushes near a bank on Highway 26. He was arrested.

1:47 p.m., Arnold — Someone was sleeping behind large metal garbage containers at a business on Highway 4. He was arrested.

1:49 p.m., San Andreas — A theft report was taken for someone who said recycling bags were stolen from a truck on Bellview Street.

2:29 p.m., Arnold — An unknown person was dumping pine needles, tires and wood debris somewhere near Moran Road.

3:22 p.m., Copperopolis — A theft report was taken on Calypso Beach Drive.

3:49 p.m., Valley Springs — A woman at a bank on Highway 26 said she was being harassed by two boys on skateboards and was unable to get out of her car.

4:51 p.m., Valley Springs — A man, who was possibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol, stole a T-shirt from a store on a California Street and was outside the business refusing to give it back.

TUESDAY

1:46 p.m., Valley Springs — Richard Aurthur Hilgardner, 32, of the 600 block of Northeast Bark Lane, Lincoln City, Ore., was booked on suspicion of second-degree burglary, possession of stolen property worth more than $400 and petty theft with priors, after an arrest on the 100 block of Highway 26.

TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:52 a.m., theft — Someone’s cell phone was stolen on Steffen Way, and the victim knew who took it. An officer took a report.

3:15 p.m., civil problem — A woman on South Barretta Street said someone obtained information about her from her Facebook account. An officer contacted the woman and determined it was a civil issue.

7:30 p.m., animal complaints — Officers were trying to catch a black dog-at-large on Mono Way. It was last seen running toward a business that was outside of city limits.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

10:05 a.m., Jamestown — A red-and-purple Roadmaster mountain bike was found on the 10600 block of Wigwam Road and later booked into evidence.

10:26 a.m., Sonora area — Someone stole a large steam pressure washer from a business on the 19400 block of Village Drive. Another business nearby had a video of the suspects taking the washer.

12:52 p.m., Jamestown — A man who lives on the 10600 block of Wigwam Road said jewelry was taken from his residence and he found it at a nearby business. The man went to the business to meet with sheriff’s deputies.

2:03 p.m., Sonora area — Someone was going through mailboxes near Creekside and Crestview drives.

4:17 p.m., Groveland — Someone said a secondary generator and batteries were stolen from a construction site at Highway 120 and Ferretti Road.

TUESDAY

6:04 p.m., Tuolumne — Joshua Jeff Willis, 29, of the 18700 block of Carter Street, was booked on suspicion of first-degree burglary, after an arrest on the 18700 block of Pine Street.
