Sheriff's reports

MONDAY

9:40 a.m., Groveland — A woman on Owl Court said someone turned on the water at her house and left it on for a week.

10:43 a.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 18800 block of Sequoia Drive said a cell phone, vehicle registration and insurance information were stolen from his unlocked vehicle.

12:32 p.m., Wards Ferry area — A man on the 18000 block of Wards Ferry Road said a neighbor stood outside her door and yelled obscenities at the man and his wife.

4:45 p.m., Tuttletown — A New Melones Reservoir park ranger said gang-type graffiti was written on bathroom walls.

5:34 p.m., Columbia — A caller on Vine Springs Road said he received a letter from someone who threatened to poison the caller's dog.

5:49 p.m., Chinese Camp — A woman said four or five people were messing with a trailer parked on Enterprise Drive.

6:19 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A windshield was hit with a BB on the 20900 block of Lama Tamalin Road.

8:34 p.m., Twain Harte — A man said four teens in an older-model SUV were snooping around vacant houses on Ridge Road and Hillcrest Road.

11:02 p.m., Cedar Ridge — A caller said a group of men came by a house on the 16000 block of Madrone Circle looking for a party. When told the party wasn't at that house, they threatened to shoot up the house.

YESTERDAY

Midnight, West County — A caller on Rock River Road said someone has a light shining at the end of his property near where a cow was shot in the past.

3:09 a.m., Columbia — A woman on the 11000 block of Columbia Village Drive said boys with either BB guns or paintball guns were in the yard.

4:15 a.m., East Sonora — An Albertson's employee said five men stole a basket of food from the store.

Felony bookings

YESTERDAY

4:50 p.m., Sonora — Susan Ruth Davis, 49, undisclosed address, Jamestown, booked on suspicion of burglary after an arrest at Save Mart on Stockton Road, Sonora. She was detained by a store employee until an officer arrived.

Davis remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Arrests

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Rhett Schuller, 31, 700 block of East Oakside Drive, Sonora, booked at 8:25 a.m. Monday after arrest on Lyons Street at Dodge Lane, Sonora.

Fire

MONDAY

3:45 p.m., Sonora area — A quarter-acre grass fire was reported on the 13600 block of Mono Way. The fire was caused by discarded smoking material. No dollar damage was reported. Clifton McCurley of the same address owns the property. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Tuolumne County Fire Department and U.S. Forest Service responded.

6:30 p.m., Sonora — A small spot fire was reported on the 19000 block of Black Oak Drive. The fire was caused by a vehicle fire that spread to the surrounding vegetation. Damage was estimated at $2,000 to a 1982 Nissan Maxima. Carol Morris of Sonora owns the car. CDF, Tuolumne County Fire Department and U.S. Forest Service responded.

7:20 p.m., Jamestown area — A vehicle fire was reported on Highway 120 near Tulloch Road. The fire was caused by a vehicle accident. Damage was estimated at $1,500 to a 1984 Honda Accord. Kenny Saylor of the Sonora area owns the car. CDF, Tuolumne County Fire Department, Oakdale Rural Fire Department and one air attack from Columbia responded.

Sonora police reports

MONDAY

9:11 a.m., public intoxication — A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after he was seen staggering down Stockton Road.

12:50 p.m., animal complaints — A woman on the 100 block of Columbia Way said a neighbor has more than 50 feral cats.

1:17 p.m., traffic accidents — No one was injured in a vehicle collision on Mono Way.

2:18 p.m., traffic accidents — No one was injured in a vehicle collision on Yaney Avenue, however one party refused to exchange insurance information.

3:12 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said people have been camping along Woods Creek Drive for more than two weeks.

YESTERDAY

12:12 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after an arrest on the 600 block of Woods Creek Drive.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

Sheriff's reports

MONDAY

6:43 a.m., Wilseyville — A man on the 900 block of Stanley Road reported two guns, a 12-gauge shotgun and a pistol missing from his home.

8:14 a.m., Valley Springs — Windows were reported broken at the Community United Methodist Church in Valley Springs.

8:29 a.m., San Andreas — A clerk at the Texaco gas station on St. Charles Street reported that somebody used counterfeit bills.

8:43 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 8000 block of Baldwin Street said a vehicle was vandalized.

9:36 a.m., Copperopolis — A caller on the 3000 block of Spangler Lane said somebody stole gasoline from a vehicle.

7:39 p.m., Wallace — An air ambulance was sent for a man whose horse fell over backward on him.

MONDAY

1:50 p.m., San Andreas — Joshua Stivers Clay, 22, 1700 block of Skull Springs Road, West Point, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after his arrest at the county sheriff's department. He has since been released.

7:34 p.m., Valley Springs — David Pinkney Jr., 46, 12000 block of Brandy Lane, Burson, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after his arrest on Rose and Sequoia streets in Valley Springs. He has since been released.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Jacqueline Lyn Tull, 50, 15000 block of Fricot City Road, Sheep Ranch, booked at 9 p.m. Monday after arrest at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital. She has since been released.
