Sheriff's reports

SUNDAY

10:39 a.m., Jamestown area — A caller said a woman was dragging and pulling a boy on the side of La Grange Road three miles south of Highway 108.

11:19 a.m., Dardanelle — A man said his girlfriend assaulted him while the two were driving down Clarks Ford Road. The man got out of the truck and waited by a store for a deputy to talk to him.

12:23 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman said a window was broken at a church on the 18600 block of Madrone Street.

2:12 p.m., Cold Springs — A woman driving a small red car with a dead battery stopped by the side of Highway 108 and put a sign in the car that said to call police. The woman said she became frustrated when no one would stop to help her.

2:15 p.m., Don Pedro Reservoir — A man who became separated from his grandson called deputies to help. The boy was found at a nearby swimming lagoon.

4:20 p.m., East Sonora — A construction shed on the 14000 block of Mono Way was broken into and a phone system and sprayer were stolen.

5:34 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller said a man wearing only black pants was staggering around Pine Street looking into vehicles.

5:53 p.m., Jamestown — A 40-year-old man was arrested on misdemeanor warrants after a traffic stop on Main Street near Donovan Street.

6:07 p.m., Tuttletown — A caller said about a dozen teenagers were riding bicycles off a self-made jump at the end of a boat launch on Reynolds Ferry Road. The caller said the riders were launching themselves into the water.

6:49 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man said two carloads of teens were at the end of Muheli Road partying. The teens were gone when a deputy arrived.

7:43 p.m., Twain Harte — An 11-year-old boy was treated at Sonora Regional Medical Center for an accidental gunshot wound he received at a house on Aspen Circle.

7:52 p.m., Columbia — A woman seen on a picnic table at Columbia State Historic Park was taken to Tuolumne County Jail on suspicion of public drunkenness.

8:03 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man driving an all-terrain vehicle on Chief Fuller Way was cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended license and the vehicle was impounded because the identification number was missing.

8:59 p.m., Twain Harte — A man said he caught two men inside his unlocked truck parked on the 22900 block of Joaquin Gully Road. The men ran away after they threw a beer can at the truck.

9:43 p.m., Curtis Creek Ranch area — A man said someone was setting off firecrackers in the Curtis Creek Circle area.

YESTERDAY

12:04 a.m., Sonora — A deputy handcuffed a 30-year-old man on suspicion of assaulting another man on Oak Street at Jackson Street. The man was released when it was determined he was not involved.

12:54 p.m., Tuolumne — A Mi-Wuk tribal security officer said a vehicle had been parked in a lot on the 18300 block of Tuolumne Road for several days.

FRIDAY

5:25 p.m., Sonora — Jason Guy Hutton, 34, no address given, booked on a warrant charging him with carrying a concealed weapon after being brought to the county jail from the Santa Clara County Jail. He remained in jail this morning, held without bail.

SUNDAY

10:58 p.m., Sonora — Laura Johanna Pemberton, 34, 200 block of Greenley Road, Sonora, booked on suspicion of felony battery after arrest at her apartment building. She was released yesterday after posting $35,000 bail.

Robert William Goforth, 24, 21600 block of Water Oak Drive, Sonora, booked at 1:09 a.m. Friday after arrest on South Washington Street at Gold Street, Sonora.

Jared H. Brown, 21, 22400 block of Longeway Road, Mono Vista, booked at 11:40 p.m. Friday after arrest on South Washington Street at Gold Street, Sonora.

Kevin Thomas Quincy, 28, undisclosed address on Sawmill Flat Road, Columbia, booked at 2:28 a.m. Saturday after arrest on Highway 49 at Pesce Way, Sonora.

Dennis Hugh Ponder, 28, 10300 block of Willow Street, Jamestown, booked at 4 a.m. Saturday after arrest on Crystal Falls Drive at Longeway Drive, Crystal Falls.

Javier Gonzalez Ponce, 21, 70 block of South Green Street, Sonora, booked at 9:05 p.m. Saturday after arrest on Green Street at Stockton Road, Sonora.

Bissie Coral Lee, 23, unknown address, Sonora, booked at 11:30 p.m. Saturday after arrest on Racetrack Road at Leland Drive, Gibbs Ranch area.

Joshua Thomas Hersom, 19, unknown address on Powderhouse Road, Groveland, booked at 12:10 a.m. Sunday after arrest on the 20500 block of Ferretti Road, Groveland.

Sonora police reports

SUNDAY

2:08 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said a man was either asleep or passed out in a sleeping bag behind a store in Sonora Crossroad shopping center.

5:17 a.m., disorderly conduct — A caller said a man and a woman were banging on the door of a motel room on South Washington Street, calling for "Wendy."

12:16 p.m., arrest — A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and cited on suspicion of driving with a suspended driver's license after a traffic stop on South Forest Road.

4:51 p.m., theft — A Staples store clerk in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center said two women and a man stole $600 to $800 worth of computer ink within the last hour.

5:44 p.m., public intoxication — A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at the county fairgrounds on Southgate Drive.

8:50 p.m., parking citations — Three cars illegally parked on Woods Creek Drive were ticketed after a caller said his vehicle was blocked in.

11:14 p.m., resisting arrest — A 20-year-old man was arrested on a Santa Cruz County misdemeanor warrant and a current charge of resisting arrest on Southgate Drive.

11:36 p.m., disorderly conduct — Two men, ages 23 and 26, were booked on suspicion of misdemeanor assault after an arrest at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds on Southgate Drive.

Fires

YESTERDAY

1:30 p.m., Twain Harte — A small spot fire was reported on the 23800 block of Hilltop Drive. Damage was estimated at $200 to grass and a tool shed. Doyle Hester of the same address owns the property. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Tuolumne County Fire Department, Twain Harte Community Services District Fire Department, one engine from the U.S. Forest Service, Mi-Wuk-Sugar Pine Fire Protection District, one crew from Baseline Conservation Camp, one crew from Vallecito Conservation Camp and one spotter plane, one air tanker and one helicopter from Columbia Air Base responded.

11:15 p.m., Odd Fellows Park — Fire was reported in a water heater closet on the 25400 block of David Drive. Gloria Whiteman of the same address owns the house. CDF, Tuolumne County Fire Department and Mi-Wuk-Sugar Pine Fire Protection District responded.

1:51 a.m., Murphys — Two people were fighting on the 700 block of Pennsylvania Gulch Road.

Fires

SUNDAY

2:45 p.m., Burson — A 1.5-acre grass fire was reported on the 4700 block of Burson Road. Glenn Dorflinger of the same address owns the property. A lawnmower started the fire, and Dorflinger was cited. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Burson Fire Protection District, Foothill Fire Protection District, San Andreas Fire Protection District, one spotter plane, two air tankers and one helicopter from Columbia Air Base, and two crews from Vallecito Conservation Camp responded.
