Sheriff's reports


6:35 a.m., Quail Hollow — A man said the windshield of a water truck parked on Cabezut and Greenley roads was damaged.

7:01 a.m., Twain Harte — A man involved in a vehicle accident on Cheryl Way said the other driver and his father had armed themselves with a baseball bat and a pipe.

7:47 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A caller on the 20900 block of Lama Tamalin Road said neighbors had been fighting for more than 90 minutes.

9:17 p.m., Soulsbyville — Stereos were stolen from vehicles parked at Peter-Builds Transmissions on the 20000 block of Draper Mine Road.

9:19 a.m., East Sonora — A woman said someone wrote in chalk on a work truck and on a sidewalk at Helping Hands on the 15000 block of Jennesse Road.

9:32 a.m., East Sonora — A Community Service Unit volunteer found a camouflage bag, a hat and a ski mask near the 19900 block of Highway 108.

9:48 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 20500 block of Columbia Way said a boat was stolen from her yard.

10:02 a.m., East Sonora — A caller said a man wearing a yellow shirt and a woman wearing a black crop-top shirt were arguing in front of a business at The Junction shopping center. The woman motioned to a passerby to call law enforcement.

10:46 am., Jamestown — A woman on the 18200 block of Ninth Avenue said about 40 CDs were taken from her parked car.

11:30 a.m., Jamestown — A man said numerous items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on the 17200 block of Margaret Drive.

12:15 p.m., Cedar Ridge — A caller said a gray, two-door car with its driver's side window broken out had been parked on Oxbow Lane for a couple of days. A deputy was unable to find the owner, so the car was tagged to be picked up by the county vehicle abatement program.

1:19 p.m., East Sonora — A caller said a man and a woman on the 14000 block of Tuolumne Road were trying to hit each other with their vehicles — one was a white Mercedes and another a white pickup.

2:24 p.m., Strawberry — A man said a shed at his house on the 50 block of Leland Creek Road was broken into and two chain saws, a yard blower and power tools were stolen.

3:10 p.m., Sugar Pine — A man came into the Sonora Community Service Unit office in The Junction shopping center and said a black Jeep Wrangler was parked behind a realty office with no license plates. The vehicle turned out to be stolen.

3:28 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10200 block of Preston Lane said a backpack containing glasses and other school items was stolen. A child told the woman a man walking toward Main Street had the backpack.

6:24 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said her vehicle parked on O'Byrnes Ferry Road near Tulloch Reservoir was broken into. Her wallet, credit cards and money were stolen.

7:25 p.m., Quail Hollow — A caller said a woman on the 12800 block of Chukar Circle was washing clothes with gasoline.

8:24 p.m., Jamestown — A caller on Preston Lane said two men had cut a hole in a fence and were going in and out of the fence taking items with them.

9:20 p.m., Columbia — A caller heard screaming coming from a house on the 12400 block of Big Hill Road and saw a man hit a woman.

10:20 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said numerous teens were trying to start a fire in wood chips on the playground at Oak Hills Apartments on the 10200 block of Preston Lane.

9:45 p.m., Tuolumne — Aaron David Gray, 26, 22300 block of Belleview Drive, Sonora, booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor resisting arrest after an arrest on the 14600 block of Tuolumne Road. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $30,000 bail.

Sonora police reports


8:41 a.m., vandalism — A caller said red graffiti had been written on a wall on the 90 block of North Shepherd Street.

10:22 a.m., trespassing — A Bank of America employee said an older man dressed in flannel cowboy attire was panhandling in the bank parking lot on Stockton Road.

12:03 p.m., vandalism — A pedestrian crossing sign on Snell Street was damaged.

2:46 p.m., hazardous situation — A caller said two men and a woman on skateboards were throwing rocks at vehicles on Sanguinetti Road near Mono Way.

3:04 p.m., lost property — A caller said he found a CD case with 62 CDs inside on Elk Drive and turned it in to the police department.

9:28 p.m., public fight — A resident on East Bald Mountain Road threatened to move another resident's vehicle for parking in front of the first resident's house.


Sheriff's reports


9:01 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 2000 block of Butler Lane said somebody shot his house and car with a paintball gun.

12:19 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Someone spray-painted a sign and left a beer can on the ground on the 20000 block of Smith Road.

12:54 p.m., Arnold — Officers found a vehicle that had been broken into at a store parking lot.

1:48 p.m., Arnold — Deputies received reports of two men arguing and pushing each other alongside Highway 4. The conflict was resolved when deputies arrived.

4:26 p.m., Valley Springs — A woman on Stabulis Road said two boys on bikes threw a firecracker. She didn't see them throw it, but said she heard a popping sound.

6:59 p.m., Valley Springs — California Highway Patrol officers arrested a man on suspicion of drunken driving after he drove his tractor to a gas station on Vista Del Lago.

10:11 p.m., West Point — A caller on the 1200 block of Spink Road reported two loud explosions. A deputy later found a pile of ashes on Main Street.

10:35 p.m., Arnold — The front door of a cabin on the 1400 block of Greensboro Way was found to be kicked in.

5:50 p.m., Angels Camp — A 55-year-old Angels Camp man was booked on suspicion of battery of a spouse or cohabitant. He is being held at the Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.


12:08 a.m., Angels Camp — Curtis Alan Dudschus, 33, 300 block of South Main Street, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after being arrested at Murphys Grade Road and Rolleri Bypass Road. He is being held at the Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Marcia Jo Caywood, 42, 200 block of North Main Street, San Andreas, booked at 11:20 p.m. Monday after arrest on Highway 49 north of Mountain Ranch Road.

Brandon Keith Pitkin, 20, 8100 block of Olive Branch, Jenny Lind, booked at 9:39 p.m. Monday after arrest at Daphne and Myrtle streets in Valley Springs.

Peter Russell Sloniker, 28, 4000 block of Bane Road, Valley Springs, booked at 8:46 p.m. Monday after arrest at Vista Del Lago in Valley Springs.
