Sheriff's reports

WEDNESDAY

8:52 a.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 20000 block of Mt. Elizabeth Road reported finding five bags of trash dumped near his property.

10 a.m., Columbia — A man said all the newspaper boxes in front of Columbia Post Office on Parrotts Ferry Road were missing. Boxes contained The Union Democrat, The Modesto Bee, The San Francisco Chronicle and The Stockton Record.

2:07 p.m., Twain Harte — A window on a construction grader parked on Lava Road was reported broken for an estimated $400 in damage.

2:22 p.m., Cuesta Serena — A man said he found a bag containing "something" in it on Avenida Bonita. A deputy found the bag contained leftovers from a hotdog lunch.

3:18 p.m., Groveland — A house on the 18500 block of El Capitan Way was burglarized through a bedroom window.

4:16 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 22600 block of Virginia Avenue said a truckload of trash was dumped near his house.

4:35 p.m., Pinecrest — A snowboard valued at $300 was reported stolen from in front of the main lodge at Dodge Ridge Winter Sports Area.

4:59 p.m., Willow Springs — A woman said four people were camping on land behind a small park. One of the men said he was a transient and was asked to move on.

5:53 p.m., Pinecrest — A woman said her $550 skis were stolen from a locker room at Dodge Ridge.

9:06 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller said toys from the Mother Lode Christian Preschool were thrown over a fence by unknown people who have since left the area.

10:18 p.m., Willow Springs — A man on the 20700 block of Caylor Drive said another man threatened him.

WEDNESDAY

3:53 p.m., Sonora — Robert Phillip Burciaga, 26, 18400 block of Oak Street, Sonora, booked on a state parole violation after an arrest at his home. He was held briefly at the Tuolumne County Jail, then transported to a state prison.

6:05 p.m., Sonora — Rebecca Lee Suttenfield, 35, 200 block of North Fir, Oakdale, booked on a warrant charging her with possessing a controlled substance. Stanislaus County Sheriff's deputies transferred her to the Tuolumne County Jail. She remained held without bail this morning.

6:05 p.m., Sonora — Owen Brett Grundeman, 29, 1000 block of Corvette, San Jose, booked on Tuolumne County warrant charging him with felony drunken driving with prior convictions. He was transported from the Santa Clara County Jail and remained held this morning in lieu of $100,000 bail.

6:07 p.m., Sonora — Jonathan Lloyd Crabb, 21, 400 block of Fontanelle Drive, San Jose, booked on a warrant charging him with receiving stolen property, probation violation and failure to appear. He was transported from the Santa Clara County Jail and held without bail this morning.

TODAY

12:07 a.m., Sierra Village — Victor Landon Bonds, 35, 25000 block of Highway 108, Sierra Village booked on suspicion of felony battery after arrest at an apartment near his apartment.

According to a sheriff's report, Bonds kicked a woman and dislocated her thumb. He remained in jail this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail.

2:30 a.m., Phoenix Lake Road area — Shawna Lea Stanton, 26, 1300 block of Big Hill Road, Columbia, booked on a state parole hold after an arrest on Phoenix Lake Road at Peaceful Oak Road, Sonora. She remained held without bail this morning.

Also arrested was a 25-year-old man on Stanislaus County warrant charging him with misdemeanor drunken driving.

2:47 a.m., Jamestown — Russell D. Cline, 21, 300 block of South Main Street, Angels Camp, booked on suspicion of vehicle theft and possessing a controlled substance after an arrest on Seco Street, Jamestown.

According to a sheriff's department report, a car stolen from Tracy was seen on Seco Street by Sgt. Jim Mele. He tried to pull the car over, the driver stopped the car and the occupants ran to the Jamestown Apartments.

Mele was able to stop and arrest Cline. The other suspect got away.

Cline remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Kenneth Dirk Bezore, 60, 10700 block of Golf Links Road, Jamestown, booked at 9:46 p.m. Wednesday after arrest on Golf Links Road at Highway 49, Jamestown.

Robert Earl Cook, 51, 90 block of Summit Avenue, Sonora, booked at 9:53 p.m. Wednesday after arrest on Highway 108 at Montezuma Junction.

Sonora police reports

TUESDAY

9:12 a.m., disorderly conduct — A man said another man on the 100 block of West Bradford Avenue was banging on other tenants' doors making threats.

9:36 a.m., assault — A man said he believes he was assaulted Monday after 1 a.m., after leaving a business on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

9:41 a.m., reckless driving — A woman said another woman driver cut her off. When the first woman told the driver to use her turn signal, the other woman got out of her car and yelled at the woman and tried to open her door.

10:32 a.m., traffic accident — A non-injury crash was reported at the intersection of South Washington Street and West Bradford Avenue.

11:03 a.m., found property — A woman said she found a small bag that contained a white, powdery substance in her front yard.

3:27 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury crash was reported on Shaws Flat Road.

4:22 p.m., forgery — A woman said someone stole checks and forged them within the city.

6:43 p.m., agency assist — A woman was making threats to doctors at Sonora Community Hospital.

9:01 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man called 911 and said another man was at his apartment asking him strange questions about his whereabouts.

9:14 p.m., resisting arrest — A 37-year-old man was arrested for resisting or obstructing an officer following an attempted arrest of the man on a misdemeanor warrant. Police were first called to a residence on the 100 block of East Bradford Avenue because of a disturbance.

11:38 p.m., fight — A 911 caller said there was a fight among several people in a parking lot on the 10 block of South Stewart Street.

7:07 a.m., Valley Springs — A house on the 80 block of Daphne Street was reported burglarized.

11:11 a.m., Murphys — A caller on the 200 block of Black Bart Drive said a grocery credit account was being used fraudulently.

12:35 p.m., Valley Springs — A house on the 100 block of Myrtle Street was broken into.

3:13 p.m., San Andreas — A caller on the 7600 block of Pool Station Road reported the theft of a bank card.

4:19 p.m., Carson Hill — Firearms were reported stolen from a house on Carson Hill.

3:07 p.m., Arnold — Elizabeth Louise Ward, 39, undisclosed address, Arnold, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance without a prescription, possessing a narcotic controlled substance and misdemeanor probation violation after arrest on the 1100 block of Highway 4, Arnold. She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail.
