TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

12:11 a.m., Sonora area — Fireworks were heard near the 20600 block of Soulsbyville Road.

12:23 a.m., Columbia — A house on the 22500 block of Sawmill Flat Road was burglarized.

1:18 a.m., Columbia — A man who appeared to be drunk knocked on the door of a home on the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road and then stole a truck from the property.

10:05 a.m., Columbia — An ice machine and two-door commercial freezer were reported stolen from a business on the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road. Neither were in working condition.

1:04 p.m., Columbia — A vehicle crashed into a tree on Sawmill Flat and Parrotts Ferry roads and caught on fire.

1:14 p.m., Sonora area — A 12-year-old said someone held a 4-inch pocket knife to his stomach and threatened to stab him and his friends at Sullivan Creek School on Hidden Valley Road.

1:37 p.m., Sonora area — Sexual assault was reported on South Creekside Drive.

4:20 p.m., Sonora area — Possible drug activity was reported on the 21800 block of Belleview Road. 

8:11 p.m., Columbia — A pried open safe was found in the trash bin on the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry road and booked by the Sheriff’s Office.

Felony bookings

MONDAY

2:42 p.m., Sonora area — Daniel James Stover, 42, a transient, was booked on suspicion of felony violation of probation after an arrest on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. He was also booked on suspicion of a misdemeanor charge of violating a protective order.

6:10 p.m., Sonora area — Jeff Joseph Coats, 50, of the 9600 block of Rimrock Road, was booked on suspicion of threatening crime with the intent to terrorize after an arrest at his home. 

TUESDAY

1:05 a.m., Sonora area — Robert Matthew Wootters, 23, of the 200 block of Bonanza Road, was booked on suspicion of damage to a prison or jail and vandalism after an arrest in Sonora. He was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of obstructing or resisting a public officer and drunk and disorderly conduct.

MONDAY

10:25 p.m., Sonora area — Jose Luis Bautista, 57, of the 14600 block of Mono Way, was booked after an arrest on North Washington and Cowan streets.

TUESDAY

1:16 a.m., Sonora area — Alyssa Denae Morgan, 23, of the 3100 block of Crowell Road, Turlock, was booked after an arrest at South Washington Street and Highway 108. She was also booked on suspicion of a misdemeanor charge of violation of probation.

2:37 p.m., Sonora area — Frank John Ficek, 60, of the 11600 block of Yankee Hill Road, was booked after an arrest on Norlin and Bradford streets. He was also booked on suspicion of a misdemeanor charge of resisting, delaying or obstructing a public officer or emergency technician. 

1:36 p.m., Columbia — Phil Fred Rodriguez, 61, a transient, was booked after an arrest on Sawmill Flat and Parrotts Ferry roads. He was also booked on suspicion of a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license for a previous DUI. 

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

11:46 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A firecracker sound was heard from West Sunset Street.

9:51 p.m., driving under the influence — A possible drunk driver was reported on Mono Way. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

TUESDAY

12:07 a.m., suspicious circumstances — Fireworks were seen from the first block of Pesce Way.

12:16 a.m., driving under the influence — A possible DUI near the 11600 block of Columbia College Drive was reported. 

12:16 a.m., fight — People were fighting on the 100 block of South Washington Street. They left before officers arrived.

2:15 a.m., public intoxication — A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after a fight on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

9:06 a.m., vandalism — A woman’s home on East Live Oak Drive was broken into and her bedroom was wrecked.

12:16 p.m., miscellaneous — A woman was unloading trash from a motorhome into shopping carts in the Crossroads Shopping Center on Sanguinetti Road.

12:31 p.m., found property — Someone knocked on a man’s door and handed him a syringe, saying it was on the front lawn. The officer said he would dispose of the item.

12:58 p.m., driving under the influence — A vehicle was swerving on South Washington Street.

7:30 p.m., unclassified — A beer bottle was thrown at a vehicle while it was stopped at a red light at Greenley Road and Mono Way. Officers were unable to locate a suspect.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

SUNDAY

3:23 p.m., Mountain Ranch — A fight was reported on Baker Riley Way.

10:21 p.m., Copperopolis — A fight was reported on Lake Tulloch Place.

MONDAY

9:20 a.m., Railroad Flat — A vehicle was vandalized and a fight was reported on Doe Road.

9:27 a.m., Valley Springs — Dogs were chasing a llama on Steadman Ranch Road.

12:08 p.m., West Point — A residence on Acorn Way was vandalized.

7:46 p.m., Valley Springs — Battery was reported on Berkesey Drive.

TUESDAY

2:24 a.m., Valley Springs — A fight was reported on La Contenta Drive.

2:53 p.m., Copperopolis — A public intoxication arrest was made on O’Byrnes Ferry Road.

10:27 a.m., Burson — A shop on Pattison Road was broken into and items were stolen.

11:08 a.m., Burson — Fireworks were shot off near Burson Road overnight, causing horses to stampede through fences. One horse was injured.

1:35 p.m., Copperopolis — A cabin on Salt Spring Valley Road was burglarized.

2:31 p.m., Valley Springs — Two people drove onto private land and panned for gold in a river.

2:58 p.m., Angels Camp — Public intoxication was reported on the 200 block of South Main Street.

2:59 p.m., Valley Springs — A possible DUI was reported on the 200 block of Highway 12.

5:31 p.m., San Andreas — Someone received a counterfeit $10 bill.

7:01 p.m., Murphys — A window was broken at the Murphys Historic Hotel on Monday night.

WEDNESDAY

7:34 a.m.., Burson — A man was cutting down a tree on Highway 12.

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

1:45 a.m., Murphys — Jimmy Blake Terry, 26, of the 700 block of Algiers Street, was booked on suspicion of felony violation of parole after an arrest at his home. He was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of fighting in a public place and violating a court order to prevent domestic violence.

SATURDAY

7:17 p.m., Vallecito — Michael Anthony Sparana, 23, of Arnold, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant and battery with serious bodily injury after an arrest on the 1800 block of Highway 4.

MONDAY

7:55 p.m., Angels Camp — Joseph Clarence Geto, 20, of the 4200 block of French Gulch Road, Murphys, was booked on suspicion of second degree burglary and a misdemeanor of minor in possession of alcohol after an arrest at South Main and Monte Verde streets.

3:14 p.m., San Andreas — Serena Delores Walling, 22, of the 700 block of O’ Connell Lane, was booked on suspicion of second degree burglary after an arrest on Highway 49. She was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of petty theft and drunk and disorderly conduct.

TUESDAY

2:07 a.m., Arnold — Scott Clayton Merriman, 35, of the 1000 block of Marigold Road, Livermore, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily injury after an arrest on the 1300 block of Meadow Drive.

2:07 a.m., Arnold — Michael Alan Smith, 32, of the 4200 block of Dorman Road, Pleasanton, was booked on suspicion of child cruelty after an arrest on the 1300 block of Meadow Drive. He was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of battery on a person and drunk and disorderly conduct.

FRIDAY

6:23 p.m., Valley Springs — Edeltraud Zeiger, 78, of the 4300 block of Bartelink Drive, was booked after an arrest at highways 12 and 26. 

SATURDAY

2:28 a.m., Valley Springs — Lawrence Richard Diaz Jr., of the 6900 block of Cane Lane, was booked after an arrest on the 50 block of Highway 26.

4:05 a.m., Valley Springs — Wayne Anthony Gonsalves, 43, of the 2100 block of Partridge Road, was booked after an arrest at his home. 

TUESDAY

12:55 a.m., Angels Camp — Shanon Marie Duren, 22, was booked after an arrest on Main Street.
