SUNDAY

11:15 a.m., Tuolumne — A man on the 19200 block of Sunrise Drive said tires on his vehicle were vandalized.

12:42 p.m., Groveland — A chain saw and wood splitter were stolen from the 17600 block of School Street.

2:14 p.m., Pinecrest — A man said a condominium on the 33000 block of Upper Leland Meadow Drive was burglarized.

3:53 p.m., Crystal Falls area — A caller on the 21000 block of Glenwood Road said two loose pit bulls killed a cat in the neighborhood.

3:57 p.m., Quail Hollow — A caller said a group of men were physically fighting on the 20200 block of Sparrow Lane.

4:17 p.m., Soulsbyville — A man on Spanish Grant Road said his children found an old CD player and a vial of a suspicious substance and asked for a deputy to pick them up.

5:12 p.m., Cold Springs — A clerk at a convenience store said a man would not leave the store on the 29800 block of Highway 108 after the clerk told him he would not sell him beer.

5:26 p.m., Groveland — A man said gasoline was stolen from a car parked on Ferretti Road.

8:18 p.m., Sonora — A window at the Tuolumne County Jail was broken by an inmate.

10:13 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 18000 block of Ninth Street said when she returned home a rental trailer was parked in front of her house and a man was trying to get into the back of it.

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

3:47 p.m., East Sonora — Vincent Todd Pratt, 41, 60 block of North Shepherd Street, Sonora, booked on a Merced County warrant charging him with possessing a controlled substance and failure to appear in court after an arrest on the 13700 block of Mono Way. He was released after posting $20,000 bail.

10:34 p.m., East Sonora — Randall Glenn Haggard, 52, 19800 block of Whitto Mine Road, Standard area, booked on suspicion of child endangerment and misdemeanor driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol after an arrest on the 800 block of Sanguinetti Road. He was released Saturday after posting $25,000 bail.

SATURDAY

3:47 a.m., East Sonora — Jessica Nicole Cruz, 18, 200 block of Sheila Court, Modesto, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop and arrest on Highway 108 at Mono Way.

According to a sheriff's report, Cruz was a passenger in a car stopped by a deputy. The deputy found two methamphetamine-smoking pipes with methamphetamine in them in the car that Cruz said were hers, the report said. She was released after posting $10,000 bail.

4:20 a.m., Sonora area — Leslie Theresa Elkins, 45, 22000 block of Lyons Bald Mountain Road, Sonora, booked on suspicion of felony vandalism and misdemeanor obstructing a peace officer after an arrest at her home.

According to a Sonora police report, an officer stopped a 36-year-old man for a traffic violation at Elkins' house. The officer discovered a warrant for the man's arrest and was arresting him when Elkins came out of the house and tried to stop the officer.

The officer then arrested Elkins on suspicion of obstructing a peace officer and put her in the back seat of his patrol car. While in the patrol car, Elkins kicked out a window.

She was released after posting $10,000 bail.

The man was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor driving with a suspended license, evading a police officer and resisting arrest.

SUNDAY

12:03 a.m., Sonora — Matthew James Fierro, 21, undisclosed address on Hudson Street, Columbia, booked on a warrant charging him with unlawful sexual intercourse, failure to appear in court and violating his probation after a traffic stop and arrest on Highway 49 at Pesce Way. He remained held without bail this morning.

Forrest Edwin Campbell, 42, 14000 block of Park Avenue, Jamestown, booked at 12:01 a.m. Friday after arrest on Algerine Road at Stent Cut Off, Jamestown area.

Billy Dwayne Davis, 38, 900 block of Folsom Lane, Galt, booked at 12:45 a.m. Saturday after arrest on Green Street at Stockton Road, Sonora.

Mark Allen Hanson, 48, 23000 block of Mt. Elizabeth Drive, Twain Harte, booked at 3:58 a.m. Saturday after arrest at his house. He was also booked on suspicion of driving with a license previously suspended for a drunken driving conviction.

SUNDAY

12:43 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A teenage boy found a young child walking alone in a field behind the 400 block of Morning Star Drive.

8:07 p.m., found property — A man came to the police department and dropped off a purse found behind a store on Stockton Road.

9:11 p.m., warrant arrest — A 30-year-old man was arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to appear after an arrest on North Washington Street at Columbia Way.

7:47 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — A caller on the 5700 block of Highway 49 said he was assaulted on Saturday.

7:49 a.m., Murphys — A neighbor dispute over a dog was reported on the 700 block of Dogwood Drive.

8:57 a.m., Murphys — A stalled vehicle was blocking part of Murphys Grade Road.

11:28 a.m., Copperopolis — A stolen vehicle located on the 1100 block of Sawmill Court was given to the California Highway Patrol.

11:28 a.m., Valley Springs — A white pickup truck was blocking traffic on Highway 26.

12:37 p.m., Murphys — A caller said there were garbage and footprints in a yard on the 200 block of Woodland Drive.

1:10 p.m., West Point — A caller on the first block of Bucksaw Lane said she had questions regarding her ex-husband and divorce.

1:13 p.m., Valley Springs — A house on the 8700 block of O'Rielly Street was burglarized.

1:35 p.m., Arnold — A caller said mini dirt bikes were racing near Mustang Road.

2:04 p.m., Arnold — A vehicle accident was reported on the 900 block of Blagen Road.

3:37 p.m., West Point — A caller on the 3700 block of Bald Mountain Road said a neighbor threw rocks and dented the caller's truck.

4:05 p.m., San Andreas — Two boys reportedly were vandalizing San Andreas Elementary School.

4:40 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 100 block of Laurel Street said he was threatened by his ex-girlfriend.

5:04 p.m., Murphys — A man and woman were arguing on the 1500 block of Gallows Road.

8:32 p.m., Forest Meadows — A vehicle accident was reported on the 4100 block of Highway 4.

Felony bookings

YESTERDAY

5:55 p.m., Copperopolis — Charley Dean Ortega, 45, 3000 block of Beaver Road, Copperopolis, booked on suspicion of taking a vehicle without the owner's consent, being disorderly due to alcohol, driving without a license and receiving stolen property. Ortega remained in custody this morning in lieu of $30,000 bail.

TODAY

5:05 a.m., Valley Springs — Charles William Vaughan, 57, 3500 block of Laurent Lane, Valley Springs, booked on a felony battery charge. He posted $60,000 bail early this morning and was released from custody at the county jail.

Raymond Phillip Juarez, 31, 3400 block of Hemmingway Drive, Antioch, booked at 12:50 a.m. today after arrest on Highway 49 in Angels Camp.
