Sheriff's reports

TUESDAY

8:24 a.m., Sugar Pine — A caller said his cell phone, valued at $129, was taken from an unlocked vehicle at an undisclosed address in Sugar Pine.

9:02 a.m., Standard area — A woman reported leaving her home and hitting herself in the head in frustration over a dispute with her roommates on Cavalieri Road.

9:15 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man said sunglasses and a cell phone were taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 24100 block of Lama Hisum Road. He said he found the phone when he went to walk his dog.

1:06 p.m., Jamestown — The owner of Whitley Antiques Etc., 18200 block of Main Street said a neighbor's animals damaged his business.

1:34 p.m., Columbia — A caller on the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road reported illegal trash dumping.

3:31 p.m., East Sonora — Two juveniles were in custody for shoplifting at Longs Drugs in The Junction shopping center.

4:47 p.m., Tuolumne — A man on the 18500 block of Fir Avenue said someone entered his house through a back window. He was not sure if anything had been taken.

5:10 p.m., Sonora Meadows — A man said that four people vandalized a water tank on Crestview Drive, and that he could describe their car.

9:12 p.m., East Sonora — A Mono Way fast-food restaurant asked that a deputy tell about eight people to stop yelling at customers from a pickup parked outside.

TODAY

12:37 a.m., East Sonora — A man at Harrison Jewelers on the 13700 block of Highway 108 in The Junction shopping center said someone tried to put a shopping cart through a store window, then left in a car.

TUESDAY

9:02 a.m., Jacksonville area — Gary Todd Maddox, 37, 16100 block of Jacksonville Road, Jamestown, booked on suspicion of battery and on several warrants after arrest at his home. According to the Sheriff's Office, Maddox tried to a choke a woman at his house. He was held in lieu of $5,000 bail this morning.

1:07 p.m., Sonora — Frederick Floyd White, 36, Seco Street, Jamestown, booked on suspicion of attempting to illegally procure prescription medication after arrest at Wal-Mart. According to Sonora Police, White tried to pick up another person's prescription and falsely identified himself to an officer as that person. He was held this morning in lieu of $5,000 bail.

2:09 p.m., Sonora — Geoff Bruce Croyle, 43, unknown address, Sonora, booked on a Tuolumne County felony warrant charging him with assault with a deadly weapon, violation of probation and failure to appear in court after arrest by Sonora Police on the 60 block of South Washington Street.

MONDAY

12:24 a.m., driving under the influence — A 16-year-old boy was cited on suspicion of being driving with a blood-alcohol level of .01 or greater as a minor. The boy was released to a parent. A Sonora police report states that an officer pulled him over for a traffic violation in Sonora Plaza on Mono Way.

7:29 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A man said a woman he knew came to his house "very intoxicated" and started throwing things around. The man said the woman was carrying a knife with her.

8:22 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman said she saw two youths trying to break in to a car on the 400 block of North Washington Street. The woman said the youths were wearing black and that one was carrying a backpack.

8:38 a.m., public peace — A man said an employee he asked to leave a job site on the 300 block of Morning Star Drive refused to leave and was causing a disturbance.

1:51 p.m., threats — An employee at a business on the 600 block of South Washington Street said a fellow employee's boyfriend called him at work and threatened to beat him up over an employee dispute.

3:02 p.m., trash problem — A man said someone dumped trash on the 300 block of Truckenmiller Road.

4:13 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man said he saw three teen-agers climb over a wall of a business on Williams Street.

4:14 p.m., public peace — An officer responded to a fight at a business on the 600 block of South Washington Street.

6:28 p.m., public intoxication — A 53-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 100 block of Church Street.

Fire calls

TUESDAY

1:15 a.m., Jamestown area — No damage was reported in a flue fire on the 16100 block of Jacksonville Road. The property owner's name was not available this morning. The tenant was Gary Maddox. Responding were Jamestown Fire Protection District, Tuolumne County Fire Department and California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

8:30 p.m., Columbia — A couch was set on fire in the Columbia College dormitory parking lot on the 11800 block of Columbia College Drive. No dollar damage was listed. Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.

3:45 a.m., Angels Camp — A 19-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct on the 900 block of Tuolumne Street.

SATURDAY

2:35 a.m., Angels Camp — Sarah Elizabeth Nunez, 27, of Angels Camp, booked on suspicion of felony battery and assault with a deadly weapon after arrest at her home. She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $130,000 bail.

MONDAY

3 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — Shelly Eagleton, 39, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after arrest on the 9600 block of West Center, Mokelumne Hill. She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.

12:10 a.m., Burson — Deborah Ann Weimer, 47, 5600 block of Pettinger Road, Valley Springs, booked after arrest on Highway 12 in Burson.
