Sheriff's reports

WEDNESDAY

7:48 a.m., Groveland — A woman on the 19600 block of Elder Lane said her car was broken into and her purse stolen.

8:56 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man said a house on the 24300 block of Jeanita Lane was broken into.

10:40 a.m., Standard area — A 23-year-old man was arrested on misdemeanor warrants at a house on the 19700 block of Serrano Road.

11:59 p.m., Tuolumne area — A woman on the 18000 block of Yosemite Road said her car door was kicked and dented.

12:47 p.m., West County — A woman said her son was paroled from Sierra Conservation Center on Saturday, but the 22-year-old man had not come home. A dispatcher contacted the man's parole officer who said the parolee was arrested in San Jose on Monday and was in the Santa Clara County Jail.

1:14 p.m., Jamestown — A man on Rawhide Road said he received a phone call from a company that wanted his bank account number to sign up for a program that would block telemarketers. The man was sure the call was a scam.

2:08 p.m., Twain Harte — A man said a house on the 24000 block of South Fork Road was broken into.

2:39 p.m., Columbia — An R&L Mini Mart clerk said a motorcycle with no vehicle identification number on it was hidden behind a trash bin at the store on the 22000 block of Parrotts Ferry Road.

2:50 p.m., Groveland — A woman said another woman was outside a house on the 19200 block of Ferretti Road breaking the windows out of a car.

3:50 p.m., Don Pedro — A CDF employee said there was a strong smell of propane at a house on El Naranjo Street, and the department wanted a deputy to help them at the house.

3:35 p.m., Soulsbyville — A woman on the 19800 block of Via Redonda said a neighbor's dog jumped on her friend and tried to bite her. Animal control officers were notified.

6:40 p.m., Mono Vista — A 21-year-old woman was arrested on misdemeanor warrants charging her with two counts of drunken driving after a caller said the woman was lying in the parking lot at the Moose Lodge on the 20900 block of Longeway Road.

6:50 p.m., Twain Harte — A man found a sewing kit and identification in the street and took it to his house.

7:16 p.m., Groveland — A man on the 11800 block of Powder House Street said deer antlers were stolen from his yard a couple days ago. When a deputy came out to take a report, he arrested a 35-year-old man on outstanding warrants.

9:14 p.m., Columbia — A man asked for a deputy to check the welfare of a man and a woman he had not talked to for more than a week. The caller could not drive to his friend's house because he had a "breathalyzer restricter" device on his vehicle that prevented him from driving.

9:51 p.m., Sonora Meadows — A man on the 16500 block of Creekside Drive South said the someone tried to break into the house.

9:51 p.m., Crystal Falls — A woman said her unlocked vehicle parked on the the 21800 block of Russian River Drive was broken into and money and CDs were taken.

10:30 p.m., East Sonora — A man on the 13400 block of Mono Way said his vehicle was broken into and a cell phone stolen.

Sonora police reports

WEDNESDAY

5:18 a.m., disorderly conduct — The manager of Inns of California on South Washington Street asked for an officer to standby while a guest was evicted from a room.

8:26 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said a man left a vehicle parked on Pesce Way then ran off through some bushes.

11:05 a.m., controlled substances — A caller found a bag containing a white powdery substance.

11:13 a.m., miscellaneous — A woman said a small rock "about the size of her pinky" fell off a building and struck her hat while she was on North Washington Street.

1:41 p.m., fire call — A caller said a group of teens set a tree on fire on South Shepherd Street and ran off. The caller was able to put the fire out using a hose.

3:22 p.m., traffic accident — No one was injured in an accident at South Stewart Street and East Church Street.

4:37 p.m., hazardous situation — A caller said three bags of cement fell off a truck on South Washington Street, and one split open.

5:12 p.m., animal complaints —A caller found an elderly, confused, Chow-mix dog wandering in traffic at the Pedro Y on Highway 49 and took the dog to a mini mart on Pesce Way for an officer to pick up.

6:30 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman said, when she parked her car in Timberhills shopping center, the driver of a SUV pulled up near her, and a man inside made obscene gestures toward her children.

9:30 p.m., public intoxication — A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after a caller said the owner of a restaurant on South Washington Street tried to keep the man from driving.

9:31 p.m., burglary — A caller said two men driving a green Chevy king-cab pickup truck broke into a car parked on Lyons Bald Mountain Road, stole the license plate off another vehicle and drove off.

6:35 a.m., Jenny Lind — A vehicle accident was reported on the 1400 block of Milton Road.

7:21 a.m., Valley Springs — A red Dodge Durango was observed following children who got off a bus at a bus stop at the intersection of Baldwin and Anderson streets.

10:56 a.m., Valley Springs — A man was punched in the chin on the 6700 block of Baldwin Street.

1:59 p.m., Valley Springs — A girl was harassed by another child on the 100 block of Chestnut Street.

4:51 p.m., Bar XX — Suspicious motorhomes were parked on Appaloosa Road.

5:19 p.m., Valley Springs — A civil standby for a child custody exchange was reported on Vista Del Lago Drive.

5:21 p.m., West Point — Two people were possibly stealing tires from a vehicle on the 300 block of Stanley Road.

7:57 p.m., San Andreas — Someone threw an item through the front window of Hemptation.

10:44 p.m., Valley Springs — A marital dispute was reported on the first block of Parakeet Court.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

7:40 p.m., Vallecito — Daniel Wayne Pierce, 44, Parrotts Ferry Road, Vallecito, booked on a felony battery charge. As of this morning, Pierce remained in custody at the Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Nickolay Alexandrov Dodov, 18, 100 block of Meadow Drive, Bear Valley, booked at 2:38 a.m. yesterday after arrest on Gardner Road in Angels Camp.

Kayla Nicole Maxwell, 20, 3300 block of Meacham Ranch Road, Angels Camp, booked at 2:38 a.m. yesterday after arrest on Gardner Road in Angels Camp.

John Francis Devine, 60, of Rail Road Flat, booked at 9:52 p.m. yesterday after arrest in Rail Road Flat.
