Sheriff's reports

SUNDAY

3:25 p.m., Pinecrest — A caller reported trespassers at Little Sweden between Long Barn and Pinecrest.

3:41 p.m., Phoenix Lake area — A woman said someone told her a tractor was moving earth on her unimproved property near the 21200 block of Paseo De Los Portales.

7:10 p.m., Sierra Village — A man said he saw lights on in a cabin on the 21200 block of Fools Gold Street and the owners said no one was supposed to be there. A few minutes later, he called back to say the homeowners said there might have been workers at the cabin.

7:22 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 23900 block of Stable Road said his 18-year-old daughter had tailgated a vehicle in front of her on the way home. He said the other driver stopped, got out carrying a baby and yelled at the caller's daughter, then got back in his car and backed up into hers.

7:52 p.m., Sonora Meadows — A woman on the 16700 block of Woodside Way said she just got home and found huge black hand prints all over the rear of her white dog. She was afraid someone might be on her property.

8:28 p.m., Groveland — A deputy pulled into Yosemite Pines RV Park on the 20400 block of Old Highway 120 and saw someone flee from the general store. He said there was also an open door at the building next to it.

9:03 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman on the 22900 block of Joaquin Gully Road said a 17-to-18-year old boy was standing in the middle of the road swinging a shovel.

9:38 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman said she saw two people trying to break into the Pizza Plus on the 18300 block of Tuolumne Road.

9:55 p.m., East Sonora — A Longs Drug Store employee on the 13700 block of Highway 108 said he saw another man smash up the business's sign with a stick.

10:52 p.m., Jamestown area — A man said a reckless driver was weaving all over Campo Seco Road and crossing over the double yellow line, heading toward Jamestown.

11:41 p.m., Jamestown — An employee at the Whistle Stop on the 18300 block of Highway 108 reported receiving a fake $20 bill.

MONDAY

12:52 a.m., Jamestown — A woman said people keep driving up to her residence in different vehicles and committing different types of vandalism. She called back at 3:13 a.m. to say someone was now digging under her window.

SUNDAY

9:21 a.m., miscellaneous — A woman on the 500 block of South Stewart Street said her vehicle was egged for the second time in two weeks.

9:27 a.m., miscellaneous — A caller said several vehicles parked on South Barretta Street were egged.

12:42 p.m., parking — A caller on the 400 block of South Stewart Street said a black Ford Escort has been parked in his driveway for the past three days.

2:08 p.m., traffic accident — A woman said her vehicle, parked at Downtown Plaza on Stockton Road, was struck, but the driver of the other vehicle did not leave any information.

3:47 p.m., animal complaints — A woman said that while she was at Rotary Park on Woods Creek Drive, three men with large, unleashed dogs threatened her after she told them there was a leash law.

8:12 p.m., traffic accident — No one was injured in a traffic accident on Mono Way at Restano Way.

THURSDAY

11:20 a.m., Don Pedro — Casey James Worley, 21, 400 block of East A Street, Oakdale, arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft after arrest at Don Pedro Market on Highway 132. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $5,000 bail.

11:51 p.m., Groveland — David Richard Bymers, 200 block of Sylvan Drive, Modesto, arrested after a traffic stop at Elder Lane and Highway 120 on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale and possession of a controlled substance. He was released Friday after posting $10,000 bail.

SATURDAY

4:16 p.m., Quail Hollow — Victor L. Ramos, 27, 12700 block of Chukar Circle, held on a no-bail federal warrant from the Immigration and Naturalization Service after he was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure. He remained at the Tuolumne County Jail this morning.

SUNDAY

2:33 a.m. East Sonora — Michael James Wanamaker, 39, Preston Lane, arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after arrest on the 13200 block of Highway 108. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

YESTERDAY

12:33 a.m., Soulsbyville area — Clifford Lawrence Archer, 39, 13600 block of Kincaid Flat Road, was arrested on felony charges of assault, damaging a telephone and assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm and an additional misdemeanor charge of battery. A caller said he threatened one woman and threw a knife at her, and was "beating up" another woman. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail.

Karen Renee Henderson, 44, 2600 block of Burlingame Way, San Jose, arrested at 1:10 a.m. Saturday on Highway 108 east of Sanguinetti Road.

Brandon Alexander Rheubottom, 21, 33100 block of Evergreen Road, Groveland, arrested at 2:20 a.m. Saturday at Jamestown Road and Highway 49.

Larry Michael Short, 50, 16500 block of Caddo Circle, arrested at 7:05 p.m. Saturday, Highway 49 at Jack Tone Road.

Amber Nicole Johnson, 18, 16800 block of Peaceful Oak Road, arrested at 1:05 a.m. Sunday on Highway 108 west of Rolling Hills Boulevard.

Ernie Albert Wardwell, 47, 22000 block of Elizabeth Lane, arrested at 7:20 p.m. Sunday on Phoenix Lake Road .80 mile north of Elizabeth Lane.

Fires

THURSDAY

6 p.m., Sonora — A flue fire was reported on the 16000 block of Morris Road. Gideon Hanson of the same address owns the home. Damage was estimated at $10,000 to the attic and ceiling. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Tuolumne County Fire Department and Tuolumne Fire Protection District responded.

FRIDAY

11 p.m., Cuesta Serena — A flue fire was reported on the 18000 block of Avenita Bonita. Damage was estimated at $400 to the flue pipe. The fire did not spread to the roof or attic. Preston Hough of the same address owns the home. CDF, Tuolumne County Fire Department, Jamestown Fire Protection District and Sonora City Fire Department responded.

Sheriff's reports

7:11 a.m., Wallace — A caller on the 7800 block of Highway 12 said someone was sleeping in a car on the caller's property.

8:51 a.m., Camp Connell — There was a problem between a juvenile and a staff member at a business on the 5500 block of Meko Drive.

8:57 a.m., Hathaway Pines — There was a report of a break-in at an abandoned house on the 5000 block of Highway 4.

9:22 a.m., Jenny Lind — A lock was broken off a garage door on the 6500 block of Jenny Lind Road.

9:48 a.m., Copperopolis — A man and a woman were arrested on the 4600 block of Appaloosa Road on suspicion of striking each other.

11:26 a.m., Arnold — A caller on the 500 block of Blue Lake Springs Drive said his neighbor's children just shot the outside of his house with a pellet gun.

4:49 p.m., Valley Springs — Three rolls of film were stolen from a business on the 200 block of Highway 12.

8:12 p.m., Jenny Lind — A caller on the 9700 block of Scenic Valley Road said there's a "weird smell" coming from the area.

8:30 p.m., San Andreas — Someone in a black Honda pumped $5 worth of gas and then left a gas station on the 400 block of West St. Charles Street.

8:50 p.m., Rail Road Flat — A caller on the 300 block of Rail Road Flat Road said a young man is playing a loud guitar at Rail Road Flat Elementary School.

Laura Marie Blood, 35, 400 block of West Elm Street, Lodi, booked at 4:20 p.m. Friday.

Chris Laurence Long, 20, 2300 block of Saint Andrews Way, San Andreas, booked at 9:06 p.m. after arrest at Southworth Road and Highway 12.

Rory Michael Aspinwall, 21, unknown Angels Camp address, booked at 12:55 a.m. Saturday after arrest in Douglas Flat on Highway 4.

Karen Lynn Hooton, 54, 10500 block of Highway 26, Mokelumne Hill, booked at 6:11 p.m. Sunday after arrest at home.
