CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

12:25 p.m., Valley Springs — A bicycle was stolen from a residence on Crail Way.

3:42 p.m., Mountain Ranch — An explosion was heard on Potteroffs Road.

11:49 p.m., Copperopolis — Two people were arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after a verbal altercation on Arrowhead Street. 

SATURDAY

11:53 a.m., Valley Springs — Items were stolen from a vehicle on Barbour Road.

12:14 p.m., Railroad Flat — A residence on Summit Level Road was burglarized.

6:10 p.m., Burson — A fight was reported at Camanche Mobile Home Park on Wade Lane.

TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

10:32 a.m., assault — A man got out of his vehicle and punched the driver of the vehicle behind him.

SATURDAY

12:59 p.m., reckless driving — A female driver with an elderly passenger was speeding through town, tailgating vehicles and yelling.

5:24 p.m., fight — A mother and father were fighting over child custody in a business on the 100 block of Old Wards Ferry Road.

SUNDAY

2:41 p.m., hazard — An iron grate was missing from a storm drain on Alpine Lane. An officer removed it from inside the drain and replaced it.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

1:24 a.m., Groveland — A vehicle was on its side and obstructing traffic on Highway 120, west of Merrell Road.

7:27 a.m., Sonora area — Guests at a hotel on the 14200 block of Mono Way were reportedly smoking marijuana in their room. The man who checked into the room left an expired license at the front desk. 

8:42 a.m., Tuolumne — A bag was stolen from a vehicle on the 19300 block of Cherokee Road.

1:11 p.m., Jamestown — Gas was siphoned from a rental vehicle on the 18400 block of Jamestown Road.

1:55 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone attempted to pry open the door of a residence on the 18900 block of Sequoia Drive. Nothing was taken.

3:29 p.m., Twain Harte — Two laptops were stolen from a home on the 22800 block of Confidence Road.

4:55 p.m., Sonora area — A woman’s Walmart card was fraudulently charged.

6:22 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman’s cabin was broken into sometime after mid-November.

9:11 p.m., Columbia — A man walking around in a cowboy hat and red robe was seen climbing over a wall at Columbia Elementary School.

SATURDAY

2:10 a.m., Jamestown — Several possibly intoxicated people were fighting on the 11100 block of Circle Drive in Jamestown. 

12:13 p.m., Sonora area — A man pointed a pistol at house cleaners and told them to leave as they were walking around a house on the 22200 block of Colorado River Drive that a realtor hired them to clean. The man said he had the pistol but did not point it at anyone.

12:50 p.m., Long Barn — A worker at a business on the 24900 block of Highway 108 got into a fight with a customer and his daughter.

SUNDAY

1:40 a.m., Tuolumne — A man confronted another man who was breaking into his vehicle. The burglar pointed a gun at the man and then fled the area.

12:45 p.m., Sonora area — A woman reported that her son shot a neighbor’s dog and possibly wounded another. The dogs were apparently in her pasture attacking two deer.

3:18 p.m., Sonora area — Mailboxes on the 10600 block of Ratto Road were vandalized.

4:43 p.m., Sonora area — Narcotics were found on the sidewalk at Washington Street and Stockton Road. They were given to a sheriff’s deputy and booked for destruction.

6:51 p.m., Sonora area — A home on the 20800 block of Longeway Road was broken into.

7:21 p.m., Big Oak Flat — Items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 11000 block of Black Road.

7:33 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman received a forged check for $1,900. 

Arrests

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

FRIDAY

7:42 p.m., Sonora area — Jeffrey Albert Cox, 47, of the 2500 block of Danaher Drive, Valley Springs, was booked after an arrest at Mono Way and Tuolumne Road. He was also booked on suspicion of driving with a license suspended for a previous DUI charge.

SATURDAY

2:38 a.m., Sonora area — Richard Kyle Baker, 34, of the 17000 block of Clouds Rest Road, Soulsbyville, was booked after an arrest on Stockton Road and Green Street. He was also booked on suspicion of a misdemeanor charge of violation of probation.

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

2:01 a.m., Sonora area — Derrell Wayne Waldecker, 63, of the 400 block of Walbash Street, Enid, Okla., was booked on suspicion of willful infliction of corporal injury after an arrest at Greenley Road and Guzzi Lane.

8:10 p.m., Sonora area — Daphne Jentry Green, 51, of the 2500 block of Danaher Drive, Valley Springs, was booked on suspicion of possession of narcotics after an arrest at Mono Way and Tuolumne Road.

SATURDAY

8:59 p.m., Twain Harte — Glenda Lee Partain, 61, of the 21700 block of Cedar Springs Road, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant after an arrest at her home.

10:37 p.m., Tuolumne — Michele Geri Donohue, 55, of the 4100 block of Churchill Drive, Pleasanton, was booked on suspicion of transporting or selling drugs after an arrest at Westside and Tuolumne roads. She was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and using or being under the influence of drugs.

SUNDAY

11:48 a.m., Jamestown — Stacey Joree Matlock, 44, of the 2600 block of Sunny Lane, Bakersfield, was booked on suspicion of bringing drugs into a prison and selling drugs to a prisoner after an arrest at the Sierra Conservation Center visiting area.
