The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


1:47 a.m., assault — A man was being treated in the emergency room after being assaulted on South Stewart Street.

1:47 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man with a painted face was yelling at people in Courthouse Square. He was cooperative when officers contacted him.

4:15 p.m., traffic accident — A vehicle collided with a sidewalk on Mono Way.

5:34 p.m., disorderly conduct — A man was asked to leave Sonora Regional Medical Center after accusing a nurse of injuring his wife.

7:44 p.m., traffic accident — Three vehicles were involved in a non-injury accident at South Washington and William streets.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:25 a.m., Twain Harte — A residence on the 17800 block of Robin Road was burglarized.

9:25 a.m., Columbia — A $1,500 wood splitter was stolen from a residence on the 11300 block of Jackson Street.

10:32 a.m., Tuolumne — Someone rifled through an unlocked vehicle on the 18500 block of Madrone Street overnight and stole a pair of sunglasses.

10:34 a.m., Tuolumne — Two vehicles were broken into on the 18400 block of Madrone Street overnight. An iPad, GPS, flashlights and hazard lights were stolen. 

12:48 p.m., Jamestown — A woman reported that her 17-year-old daughter was assaulted at Chicken Ranch and Table Mountain roads on Sunday.

1:52 p.m., Sonora area — Jewelry and cash were stolen from a house on the 19400 block of Hess Avenue on Friday.

2:33 p.m., Jamestown — A man said someone drew pictures in the frost on his truck and moved its mirrors while it was parked on the 17200 block of Jeanese Drive.

5:27 p.m., Jamestown — A computer was stolen from an unlocked home on the 11200 block of Campo Seco Road.

Felony bookings


10:26 a.m., Sonora area — Cindy Marie Steele, 41, of the 12700 block of Chukar Circle, was booked on suspicion of possession of narcotics after an arrest on North Stewart and Elkin streets.

6:22 p.m., Sonora area — Dawn Rushelle Murphy, 48, a transient, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs, including narcotics, and drug paraphernalia after an arrest on the 600 block of Olive Street.

6:22 p.m., Sonora area — Steven Morton Townsend, 49, of the 600 block of Olive Street, was booked on suspicion of being an accessory to a crime and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest at his home.

11:54 p.m., Sonora area — Keith Joseph St. Lawrence, 55, of the 500 block of Dragoon Circle, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on South Washington Street.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


10:22 a.m., Copperopolis — A storage unit on Main Street was vandalized.

12:09 p.m., Valley Springs — A house on Dunn Road was burglarized.

12:34 p.m., Wilseyville — A fight was reported on Blue Mountain Road.

1:22 p.m., San Andreas — Battery was reported on the 300 block of East Saint Charles Street.

3:48 p.m., San Andreas — A house on Andreas Vista Lane was burglarized.

4:18 p.m., West Point — A fight was reported on Bald Mountain Road.

10:55 p.m., Angels Camp — Nicholas Joseph Frazier, 30, of the 1000 block of Knief Lane, San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of second-degree burglary after an arrest on the 200 block of Main Street.
