Sheriff's report

MONDAY

6:53 a.m., Sonora — A deputy was needed at Tuolumne General Hospital to help with a patient on the third floor with a pocket knife.

8:46 a.m., East Sonora — A caller on the 19500 block of Callahan Lane said a credit card had been stolen.

11:38 a.m., Groveland — A man on the 12600 block of Cresthaven Drive said two men were at his house yelling and screaming at him.

11:53 a.m., Cedar Ridge — A man on the 24200 block of Martingale Lane said he found a broken window, and someone tried to steal gasoline from his vehicle.

1:32 p.m., Columbia — A woman on the 22000 block of Parrotts Ferry Road said a digital camera was stolen a week ago.

3:32 p.m., Standard area — A caller on the 14300 block of Tuolumne Road said two men were arguing over car repairs and had started to throw punches.

4:20 p.m., Jamestown — A man found a backpack with shotgun shells inside at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park.

5:33 p.m., Columbia — A woman on the 22600 block of Broadway Street said a pair of pants worth $42 and some pills were stolen from her unlocked vehicle.

7 p.m., Standard area — A man found a passport along Highway 108 at Standard Road.

9:15 p.m., Columbia — A woman said six men were shooting at horses on Old Stagecoach Road near Bigler Street.

YESTERDAY

12:23 a.m., Jamestown — A caller said two horses, a bay and a buckskin, were running loose on Jacksonville Road near Egan Drive.

2:51 a.m., Cedar Ridge — A 33-year-old man was booked on misdemeanor battery and on a Livermore-Pleasanton Municipal Court warrant for a drunken driving charge after an arrest on the 23000 block of Stable Road. The man's girlfriend said he hit her head on the floor about 15 times.

MONDAY

7:12 p.m., Sonora — Gloria Esther Garcia, 42, 300 block of Snell Street, Sonora, booked on warrants charging her with passing worthless checks, grand theft, embezzlement and failure to appear after an arrest at her home. No details were available. She remained held this morning without bail.

YESTERDAY

12:52 a.m., Crystal Falls — Christopher Wayne Harbour, 26, 21700 block of Crystal Falls Drive West, and George Franklin Dutch Powell, 31, no address given, both booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after an arrest at Harbour's house.

According to a sheriff's report, a 911 call came in about a man and a woman fighting. Harbour became angry and said Powell called 911 when he shouldn't have. The two men then started arguing. Powell said Harbour hit him in the head with a pipe. Harbour said Powell threatened him with a knife.

Because the deputies could not determine who was at fault, both men were arrested, the report said.

Both remained held this morning in lieu of $30,000 bail each.

6:53 a.m., hazardous situation — A caller on South Shepherd Street said a neighbor threw trash into the street causing a road hazard.

11:46 a.m., animal complaints — A caller said a shepherd-type dog was in the front seat of a truck, barking as if in distress.

1:02 p.m., lost property — A caller said a passport was lost at an unknown location.

1:15 p.m., traffic accident — A caller said the driver who hit the caller's vehicle on South Washington Street did not stop to exchange information. The caller gave police the license plate number of the fleeing vehicle.

1:39 p.m., burglary — A caller on the 700 block of Pauline Court said a screen was pulled away from a back window.

4 p.m., public fight — A caller said a man and a woman with a baby were fighting in front of a business at Sonora Crossroads shopping center.

6:04 p.m., miscellaneous — A caller said a neighbor on East Live Oak Drive has a large amount of trash in the front yard attracting rodents.

6:53 p.m., reckless behavior — A caller said three skateboarders dressed in dark clothing were angry that the caller struck one of the skateboards with a vehicle. The skateboarders told the caller "pedestrians should not have to wear lights."

YESTERDAY

12:54 a.m., public intoxication — A 52-year-old man was booked on suspicion of public intoxication after an arrest on North Washington Street.

MONDAY

7:13 a.m., Murphys — A school bus was reported vandalized at Albert Michelson Elementary School.

7:41 a.m., Arnold — A caller said golf carts were stolen from a storage area at Meadowmont Golf Course.

9:28 a.m., Valley Springs — A radio was reported stolen from a vehicle on the 40 block of Highway 12.

9:42 a.m., Vallecito — A caller said a pistol was stolen from a house on the 2000 block of Bowling Green Drive.

10:56 a.m., San Andreas — School officials said a student at Toyon Middle School was found with marijuana.

11:43 a.m., Valley Springs — A vehicle was reported vandalized on the 900 block of Laurel Street.

1:36 p.m., Dorrington — A cabin was reported broken into on the 300 block of Cabbage Patch Log Road.

2:19 p.m., Avery — A caller said a golf cart was stolen from the 1000 block of Sheep Ranch Road.

5:12 p.m., Rancho Calaveras — A resident reported a video game set and music CDs were stolen from a house on the 8000 block of Sparrow Road.

6:47 p.m., Angels Camp — Jewelry was reported stolen from a house on the 7000 block of Esmeralda Road.

10:55 p.m., Valley Springs — A man on the 2000 block of Vista Del Lago Drive said a man knocked on a window of his house then ran away. Deputies searched the area and couldn't find anyone.

Felony bookings

MONDAY

4:20 p.m., Rail Road Flat — A 57-year-old Rail Road Flat man was booked on suspicion of spousal battery, making threats and parole violation after arrest at the Rail Road Flat General Store. As of this morning he was still in custody without bail.

7 p.m., Mountain Ranch — Donald Robert Luft, 38, 100 block of Getney Street, San Andreas, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after arrest near the Mountain Ranch California Department of Forestry station. As of this morning he remained in custody in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Fires

TUESDAY

7 p.m., San Andreas — A flue fire was reported on the 2500 block of Black Bart Drive. No damage was reported. San Andreas Fire Protection District, Central Fire Protection District and Mokelumne Hill Fire Protection District responded.
