Sheriff's reports

THURSDAY

7:18 a.m., Yosemite Junction — A caller said there was a cow loose on Highway 120 at Yosemite Junction.

8:39 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman on the 22700 block of Twain Harte Drive said there was a broken window at his house.

11:11 a.m., Jamestown — A caller from an unknown address said her dog was lost or stolen on Dec. 4 and that a friend told her people at a house on Seventh Street acquired about the same type of dog at about the same time.

12:11 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said a pump was stolen from Jimtown Gold Mining Camp on Jamestown Road over the holidays.

12:17 p.m., Groveland — A man said a house on the 19200 block of Second Garrotte Road was broken into overnight.

12:41 p.m., East Sonora — A Modesto Bee newspaper box was found at the bottom of a parking lot on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

4:48 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 21000 block of Confidence Road said his Social Security number was fraudulently used.

6:12 p.m., Sonora Meadows — A man on the 21900 block of Glenwood Drive said his son's bicycle was stolen.

6:20 p.m., Crystal Falls — A man on the 16900 block of Tehachapi Court said his female St. Bernard was missing and a suspicious-looking red pickup with two teenage boys inside was parked at the bottom of his driveway.

6:30 p.m., Chinese Camp — A woman who accidentally hit a dog on Highway 120 at Highway 49 asked for an animal control officer to help her with the injured dog.

6:38 p.m., Groveland — A man said his car was vandalized while it was parked at a self-storage unit on Elderberry Way. Gasoline was siphoned out and soda poured all over the vehicle.

6:57 p.m., Jamestown — A man reported three men were trying to break into a mobile home on Preston Lane.

9:34 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller said a man was hanging around the Tuolumne Post Office on Carter Street with no shirt on. While the caller was on the phone with a dispatcher, the man took his pants off and began acting strangely.

10:12 p.m., Cold Springs — A woman on the 29000 block of Highway 108 said her ATM card was stolen out of her mailbox and had been used to withdraw money from her account.

10:57 p.m., Tuolumne — A 43-year-old man on Chestnut Avenue was cited and released on suspicion of indecent exposure after a caller reported the man was exposing himself in his front window.

FRIDAY

2:57 a.m., Jamestown — A Whistle Stop clerk said the convenience store on the 18300 block of Highway 108 received a counterfeit $20 bill.

6:25 a.m., Long Barn — A caller said he saw a man sleeping under the counter at the Long Barn Post Office on the 29500 block of Long Barn Road. The man appeared to have been drinking and was wrapped in a blanket, the caller said.

7:47 a.m., Columbia — A woman said people have been living behind a laundry on the 21700 block of Parrotts Ferry Road. She has seen smoke from campfires coming from that area, the woman said.

2:06 p.m., Pinecrest — A woman with the Dodge Ridge ski patrol reported a 35-year-old man had a fraudulent lift ticket and was escorted off the slopes.

3:21 p.m., Sonora area — A man said someone took items from his unlocked vehicle on the 18200 block of Old Wards Ferry Road.

5:13 p.m., East Sonora — Two callers said someone was running down Highway 108.

6:37 p.m., Twain Harte area — A man said someone entered a construction site on the 24100 block of Mt. Elizabeth Road and took a nail gun and a compressor.

7:53 p.m., Sonora area — A deputy arrested two men on local warrants on the 20800 block of Saratoga Road. While in his patrol car, the deputy recognized one of the men as having a warrant. The 20-year-old man fled on a bicycle, the deputy said, but was apprehended after a pursuit. He was booked on warrants charging him with several traffic violations and failure to appear, and resisting arrest, the deputy said. The second man, 44, was exiting a Saratoga Road residence when he was arrested on a warrant charging him with a traffic violation.

8:10 p.m., Sonora area — A deputy arrested a 31-year-old woman on a warrant after a traffic stop on Saratoga Road.

8:37 p.m., Groveland — A caller on the 19400 block of Pine Mountain Drive said a man entered his son's room and took a Game Boy.

9:20 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman on the 18600 block of Madrone Street said someone turned on her outdoor faucet, flooding her front lawn area twice in one day.

9:21 p.m., Twain Harte area — A man said he was assaulted by someone at a lodge on the 20900 block of Longeway Road.

SATURDAY

9:18 a.m., Sonora area — A caller reported debris in the westbound lane of Highway 108, west of Mono Way.

10:12 a.m., Jamestown — A woman said someone put sand and water into the gas tanks of three vehicles at T-N-T Mini Tractor on 17800 block of Woods Way within the last two weeks.

10:47 a.m., Groveland — A woman with Pine Mountain Lake security said security personnel discovered a home on the 20200 block of Pine Mountain Drive that appeared to be broken into.

11:28 a.m., Sonora area — A woman reported finding pry marks on a window at a home on the 18200 block of Old Wards Ferry Road.

12:19 p.m., Jamestown area — A woman reported 10 to 15 cattle on Twist Road heading toward Jacksonville Road.

12:38 p.m., East Sonora — A woman said she was with an assault victim on the 12900 block of Mountain View Road.

4:11 p.m., Groveland — A man said he found his plane at Pine Mountain Airport in a different condition than how he left it. He suspected someone was trying to take the plane.

6:53 p.m., Cedar Ridge — The California Highway Patrol said a man reported that someone in a pickup truck flashed a spotlight at him then intentionally backed up into him at the intersection of Brookside Drive and Kewin Mill Road.

9:13 p.m., East Sonora — A woman said a man took almost all of the newspapers from at least two newspaper stands on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

10:23 p.m., Jamestown — A woman at the Whistle Stop on Highway 108 said a man took a pint of rum and a pint of vodka.

YESTERDAY

1 a.m., Tuolumne — A woman on the 18700 block of Carter Street said a suspicious woman was trying to get into her home.

2:23 a.m., Columbia — Deputies arrested a 25-year-old woman on a warrant charging her with traffic violations.

7:56 a.m., Soulsbyville — A man on the 20500 block of Tanner Drive said someone vandalized his truck.

9:06 a.m., Columbia area — A woman said her son found a new mountain bike in a ravine near Quail Mine Road.

9:09 a.m., Soulsbyville — A man said someone tipped over and damaged flower pots and other planters on the 20500 block of Willow Springs Drive.

9:12 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10300 block of Preston Lane said two of her tires were flat and her neighbor told her that all her tires had been slashed.

Felony bookings

THURSDAY

1:25 a.m., Jamestown — Frank Michael Hartmann, 32, 1100 block of Detroit Avenue, Concord, booked on a felony parole hold and suspicion of misdemeanor possession of less than an ounce of marijuana after an arrest on Highway 108 at Main Street. He remained held without bail this morning.

4 p.m., Tuolumne — Daylon Levi Spraggins, 23, 19800 block of Hani Drive, Tuolumne, and Jade Jill Mowry, 23, 15100 block of Blue Bell West, Standard area, both booked on suspicion of possessing and transporting a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after arrest on Birch Street at Crocker Street.

According to a sheriff's report, Mowry was driving a car an officer stopped for a traffic violation, and during a car search, methamphetamine was found. Mowry was also booked on suspicion of driving with a suspended license.

Each remained held this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.

FRIDAY

12:42 a.m., Tuolumne — Corinne Renee Thompson, 36, 16500 block of South Creekside Drive, Sonora Meadows, booked on suspicion of possessing and transporting a controlled substance and misdemeanor driving with an open container of alcohol or marijuana, giving false information to a peace officer and a warrant for failure to comply with a school attendance order.

Thompson was arrested on Carter Street at Buchanan Street after a traffic stop.

She remained held this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Scott William Ratterman Jr., 19, 6400 block of Camino Del Lago, Rancho Murietta, booked at 10:30 a.m. Thursday after arrest on the 20 block of South Shepherd Street, Sonora.

Ronald Joseph Maria, 64, 18700 block of Mill Villa Road, Jamestown, booked at 11:05 p.m. Thursday after arrest on Highway 108 at Tuolumne Road.

THURSDAY

2:25 p.m., disorderly conduct — A 16-year-old boy was arrested at Cassina High School after he and a 17-year-old boy were fighting.

3:20 p.m., traffic violation — A 38-year-old man was cited and released on suspicion of driving without a license when an officer stopped the man on South Barretta Street.

3:52 p.m., parking — A caller asked about having an abandoned vehicle at Sonora Crossroads shopping center towed away.

5 p.m., traffic accident — A caller said his car was struck by another vehicle while it was parked in a lot on Stockton Road.

5:43 p.m., found property — A brief case was found behind the Social Security Administration building on Highway 49.

FRIDAY

12:06 a.m., theft — A caller at Denny's Restaurant on the 1000 block of Mono Way said some customers left without paying.

11:16 a.m., theft — A woman said someone stole her purse on the first block of South Green Street.

3:03 p.m., hazardous situation — A caller said a load of lumber had been dumped on Greenley Road.

4:21 p.m., theft — Two 17-year-old girls were taken into custody at Wal-Mart on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road on suspicion of shoplifting.

6:31 p.m., burglary — A man on the 100 block of Preston Place said just arrived home from work and noticed someone had kicked in a window.

7:13 p.m., theft — A girl was taken into custody at Wal-Mart on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road on suspicion of shoplifting.

7:45 p.m., assault — Police arrested a 23-year-old woman on the 100 block of West Bradford Avenue on suspicion of battery against an ex-boyfriend.

SATURDAY

12:20 a.m., lost property — A woman said she left her purse in a business on the 900 block of Sanguinetti Road.

9:35 a.m., vehicle theft — A caller said someone stole a Ford Ranger from the front of a business on the 100 block of South Green Street.

10:08 a.m., vehicle theft — A caller said someone stole a Ford F-150 parked on South Green Street at Theall Street.

11:48 a.m., threats — A woman said someone slowly drove by her house on the 300 block of South Barretta Street and yelled obscenities before speeding off. The woman suspected the incident was in retaliation for her report of a fight a few days earlier at Cassina High School.

12:05 p.m., fight — A caller said one man ran up to another man and hit him in the mouth on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

2:30 p.m., property damage — A person reported that some kids damaged a home on the 500 block of South Stewart Street.

YESTERDAY

1:43 a.m., warrant arrest — Police arrested a 22-year-old man on a misdemeanor warrant on the first block of North Stewart Street.

2:07 a.m., public intoxication — Police arrested a 18-year-old man on suspicion of public intoxication on the first block of North Washington Street.

10:59 a.m., Jenny Lind — A house on the 10000 block of Myrtle Street was reported broken into.

2:39 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 3000 block of Dunn Road said mailboxes were vandalized.

5:22 p.m., Valley Springs — A tractor mower attachment was stolen from a locked shed on the 5000 block of Olive Orchard Road.

5:25 p.m., Copperopolis — A caller from the Lake Tulloch Resort said someone in a red pickup dumped trash in one of the resort's trash cans.

7:08 p.m., Murphys — A house on the 200 block of Woodland Drive was reported broken into.

9:49 a.m., Jenny Lind — A caller said a purse was stolen out of a locked car on the 9000 block of Montero Road. The car's window was also broken.

10:50 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A caller said someone burglarized a home on the 12200 block of Whiskey Slide Road.

11:40 a.m., Jenny Lind — A caller said a cell phone was stolen out of a unlocked vehicle on the 8400 block of Owens way.

Noon, Rancho Calaveras — A man on the 6600 block of Cane Lane said someone vandalized lights and pillars in his driveway.

12:04 p.m., Angels Camp — A caller reported a downed tree blocking Greenhorn Creek Road.

3:54 p.m., San Andreas — A caller said someone stole and then used an ATM card and personal information at a business on the 100 block of East St. Charles Street.

5:34 p.m., Valley Springs — A woman on the 7500 block of Westhill Road said someone slashed the tires of her vehicle during the night.

6:46 p.m., Murphys — Deputies cited a person on suspicion of shoplifting at Murphys Village Mart on the 100 block of Highway 4.

SATURDAY

4:38 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller said someone dug a large "X" into the caller's gravel on the 8500 block of McAtee Street.

5:04 p.m., battery — A caller reported a fight between two men on the 1400 block of Gold Hunter Road.

7:52 p.m., Avery — A golf cart was reported stolen from the 1000 block of Avery Sheep Ranch Road.

10:20 p.m., Valley Springs — Deputies arrested a person on suspicion of public intoxication and evading emergency personnel after the person left the scene of a car accident at the intersection of highways 12 and 26.

10:48 p.m., San Andreas — A man and woman were arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at the intersection of Poole Station Road and Highway 49.

Felony bookings

THURSDAY

6:20 a.m., Mountain Ranch — Kimberly Kaye Chelossi, 31, 6000 block of Trout Lane, Mountain Ranch, booked on suspicion of disorderly conduct, possessing a controlled substance and possessing controlled substance paraphernalia after arrest at the intersection of Mountain Ranch and Struckmore roads. As of this morning she remained in custody in lieu of $30,000 bail.

5:12 p.m., Angels Camp — A 29-year-old Copperopolis man was booked on suspicion of spousal battery and felony parole violation after arrest on the 1000 block of South Main Street. As of this morning he remained in custody without bail because of his parole violation.

9:55 p.m., Angels Camp — A 38-year-old Angels Camp man was booked on suspicion of inflicting injury upon a child and willful cruelty to a child after arrest at his home. As of this morning he remained in custody in lieu of $75,000 bail.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Harry Arthur Benson Jr., 59, 100 block of Eagle Point Court, Copperopolis, booked at 12:33 a.m. Saturday after arrest at the intersection of highways 4 and 49 in Angels Camp.

Sabrina Raquel Hernandez, 36, 4000 block of Roadrunner Drive, Ione, booked at 10:50 p.m. Saturday after arrest at the intersection of highways 12 and 26.

Ariane Bianca Moore, 23, 200 block of Pope Street, San Andreas, booked at 4:30 a.m. Saturday after arrest on Hillcrest Drive in Angels Camp.

James Russell Spies, 74, 7000 block of East Highway 4, Murphys, booked at 11:26 p.m. after arrest on Highway 4 near East Country Club Road in Arnold.
