Sheriff's reports

TUESDAY

6:46 a.m., Tuolumne — A woman on the 18500 block of Madrone Street said a large gazing ball was stolen overnight from a ceramic stand in her front yard, along with a 20-foot extension ladder.

7:02 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 1900 block of Hemming Road said a van was parked on her property and someone was possibly sleeping in it.

10:03 a.m., Jamestown — A woman at On-Grade Contracting on the 18100 block of Main Street said a $137.05 check was cashed after the business put a stop payment on it.

10:07 a.m., Groveland — A man at Yosemite Pines RV Park on the 20400 block of Old Highway 120 said a man rented a cabin and has not been there for three days, though his belongings were still there.

10:33 a.m., Phoenix Lake area — A woman on the 15500 block of Buena Vista Avenue said her house and vehicle were egged overnight.

11:21 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man said three sets of skis, a snowboard and boots, together valued at $4,985, were stolen from the back of his unlocked pickup parked on the 24100 block of Golf Links Drive.

11:25 a.m., Sonora area — A man said his wallet was stolen from his unlocked car parked on the 19900 block of Greenley Road.

1:02 p.m., Jamestown — A man said the Jamestown Youth Center on the 10500 block of Seventh Street was egged over the weekend.

3:08 p.m., Moccasin — A caller said eight cattle were on Highway 120 near Highway 49.

4:37 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman said a green van with a peace sign on it has been parked on the side of Kuien Mill Road near Comstock Ranch Road for about a week.

4:53 p.m., East Sonora — A man said his tractor parked behind a store at The Junction shopping center was vandalized — rocks were thrown through a window.

5:11 p.m., Tuolumne — A Me-Wuk tribal security officer reported a possible car accident on Miwuk Street near Tuolumne Road North. A woman was still in the car, but man who had been in the car ran away.

10:15 p.m., Sonora area — A man and two other people were fighting on the 12800 block of Chukar Circle. A deputy said one man received facial injuries.

11 p.m., East Sonora — A caller said a vehicle was parked in the Flyers parking lot on the 13700 block of Mono Way for six days.

TUESDAY

8:05 p.m., Sonora — Johnny Leslie Duckett, 49, no address given, booked on a Tuolumne County warrant charging him with burglary, forgery, passing worthless checks, receiving stolen property, possession of a deadly weapon and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and a hypodermic syringe. He was arrested by Angels Camp Police Department and taken to the Tuolumne County Jail. No other details were available.

He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $70,000 bail.

TUESDAY

12:27 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said a car parked on the 30 block of West Bradford Avenue had its trunk "punched and opened."

9:01 a.m., vandalism — A car parked on the 300 block of South Stewart Street had its tires slashed.

9:37 a.m., vehicle theft — A DMV employee said a woman was trying to register a vehicle reported stolen from Oakdale. An officer checked and the vehicle was not stolen.

10:18 a.m., threats — A woman said she and her children were threatened by co-workers at a business on Greenley Road.

2:14 p.m., traffic accident — A caller saw a hit and run accident involving two Toyota vehicles on Greenley Road at Mono Way. The caller gave a police dispatcher a license plate number of one of the vehicles.

3:04 p.m., fraudulent activity — A caller on Linoberg Street said his name was forged on a pink slip, unemployment checks and on checking account paperwork.

3:56 p.m., vandalism — A woman said an egg was thrown at her car while she drove on North Washington Street.

TUESDAY

7:36 a.m., Arnold — Houses and vehicles along the 3700 block of Fairway Drive were vandalized with spray paint.

7:54 a.m., Murphys — Suspicious human footprints were reported on the deck of a home on the 3100 block of Strawberry Hill.

8:19 a.m., Arnold — A set of car keys were stolen from the 3500 block of Lakemont Drive.

8:36 a.m., Arnold — A garage was broken into on the 3300 block of Stagg Drive. Some items, including a pile of feces, were left behind.

11:15 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A juvenile reportedly ran away from Mountain Ranch Community School. The boy said he didn't feel good and wanted to go home.

11:45 a.m., Angels Camp — A car stereo amplifier was reported stolen on the 1200 block of Oak Court.

1:06 p.m., San Andreas — Graffiti was sprayed on the side of the Calaveras County Water District building on the 400 block of East St. Charles Street.

1:27 p.m., Burson — A verbal disturbance between a landlord and a caller on the 13000 block of Happy Valley Road was reported.

5:38 p.m., San Andreas — A man was arrested on a public intoxication charge at the Government Center on the 800 block of Mountain Ranch Road.

6:11 p.m., Murphys — A caller on the 300 block of Bret Harte Drive said she heard someone walking on the ceiling.

6:23 p.m., Valley Springs — Neighbors on the 2300 block of Quail Oaks Road were in an altercation regarding the possession of a dog.

8:16 p.m., Douglas Flat — A female on the 1800 block of Live Oak Drive complained about a neighbor.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

12:10 a.m., Valley Springs — Christopher Lee Rutledge, 21, 300 block of East Sequoia Avenue, booked for a felony battery charge and committing vandalism after arrest at Sequoia Rose Mobile Home Park. He remained in custody this morning at Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $80,000.

7:55 p.m., Glencoe — Addie Elizabeth Spoon, 24, 13000 block of Highway 26, arrested at her home on a felony battery charge. She remained in custody this morning at the Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $65,000.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Arlan Lavern Elwood, 62, of Angels Camp, booked at 9:04 p.m. Wednesday after arrest on Peri Street in Angels Camp.

Louis Riddle, 19, of Arnold, booked at 10:55 p.m. Wednesday after arrest on Utica Grade Road in Murphys.
