TUOLUMNE COUNTY Sheriff's reports TUESDAY 7:11 a.m., Tuolumne A man said gasoline was stolen from a Summerville Elementary School van overnight. 7:49 a.m., Wards Ferry area A woman said a brown horse was loose on Old Wards Ferry Road near Murphy Road. 9:16 a.m., Twain Harte A man on the 22900 block of Meadow Lane said a window was broken. 10:29 a.m., Jamestown Two women were cited for interfering with a peace officer when a Child Welfare Services employee tried to take a 6-month-old baby from one of them. 10:39 a.m., Tuolumne A man on the 18500 block of Pine Street said a padlock was broken and a hasp damaged. 11:56 a.m., East Sonora A Flyers clerk said an 83-year-old man was inside the store, on the 13700 block of Mono Way, kicking things. 1:06 p.m., Twain Harte area A caller on the 22800 block of South Fork Road said a green-and-blue dirt bike was on her front porch. 1:38 p.m., Jamestown A 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness after another man found him on the ground in an alley behind a business on the 18200 block of Main Street. 2:21 p.m., Soulsbyville A caller said a heavyset man with dark, curly hair was seen wrestling a woman with long, dark hair into a dark-colored SUV then driving off west on Highway 108. Sonora police officers and sheriff's deputies found the couple who were involved in a divorce and child custody dispute. 2:25 p.m., Twain Harte A woman said teens in a motel on the 22000 block of Meadow Drive overnight were causing problems. 3:13 p.m., Standard area A woman said window screens were broken and a door tampered with at Studio 3 Salon on the 19000 block of Standard Road. 4:32 p.m., Big Hill A man on the 22400 block of Gunsight Road said DVDs, medicine and cash, together valued at $1,314, were stolen. 4:46 p.m., Groveland A man said he was verbally assaulted by a horsewoman on Hells Hollow Road. 4:59 p.m., Tuolumne A man on the 18600 block of First Avenue said stereo speakers and an amplifier were stolen from his bedroom. 5:35 p.m., Groveland A woman calling from the 20000 block of Big Foot Circle reported that her 45-year-old husband had been missing since Tuesday. 6:06 p.m., Jamestown area A man on the 8000 block of French Flat Road said a friend of his daughter's threatened him. 7:31 p.m., Tuolumne A man said five or six drunk people came into Memorial Hall on Fir Avenue and challenged him to fight. 9:04 p.m., Sonora area A U.S. Forest Service employee said a car was vandalized while parked on the 19700 block of Greenley Road, possibly with a baseball bat. 9:38 p.m., Twain Harte A woman said two people were fighting at a business on the 22900 block of Twain Harte Drive. Both were gone by the time a deputy arrived. 11:18 p.m., Jamestown A woman on the 10700 block of Seventh Street said a man was standing on railroad tracks near the house staring into the front window. YESTERDAY 12:06 p.m., Sonora A 48-year-old Columbia man was treated at Sonora Community Hospital for accidentally shooting himself in the right calf. 12:32 p.m., Jamestown Two men, 33 and 37, were arrested on misdemeanor warrants from Sacramento and Tuolumne counties after a traffic stop on Seventh Street. Sonora police reports TUESDAY 10:34 a.m., traffic violation A caller said after 9 p.m. each night, vehicles are speeding up and down Snell Street. The caller said he has almost been hit several times trying to cross the street. 10:55 a.m., vandalism A caller said a house on the 300 block of North Arbona Circle was toilet-papered. Trash was strewn all over and a slippery substances sprayed on a walkway, the caller added. 11:14 a.m., suspicious circumstances A man said a suspicious vehicle was parked behind a vacant house on the 500 block of Shaws Flat Road. 3:20 p.m., theft One girl and one woman were detained for trying to take alcohol from Pak-N-Save in the Crossroads shopping center. The adult was cited and released. The girl was cited and turned over to her parent. 4:43 p.m., traffic accident A caller said that between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. her parked vehicle was hit by another vehicle, whose driver left without leaving information. 5:48 p.m., traffic accident A caller said he was involved in a non-injury traffic collision on North Washington Street and brought his car to the Police Department for a report. 9:08 p.m., found property A bicycle was found abandoned near the 100 block of Linoberg Street. The bike had been there for a week. CALAVERAS COUNTY Sheriff's reports TUESDAY 6:16 a.m., Copperopolis Post office boxes on the 400 block of Main Street were reported vandalized. 1:02 p.m., San Andreas A vehicle was reported vandalized in the parking lot of the CalWorks building on the intersection of Mountain Ranch Road and Highway 49. 1:31 p.m., Copperopolis Mailboxes were reported vandalized on the 1000 block of Shoreline Drive. Five minutes earlier, mailboxes were reported vandalized at another nearby subdivision. 4:24 p.m., Copperopolis A man fled from a house deck on the 3000 block of Bow Street after the homeowner yelled at him. 5:22 p.m., Arnold A man on the 1000 block of Highway 4 said another man kicked his dog. Felony bookings 3:45 p.m., Copperopolis Jerrie Decher Fordham, 23, 1000 block of Inyo Court, Copperopolis, booked on suspicion of second-degree burglary after arrest at Payless Market. He was released after posting $15,000 bail. 8:12 a.m., Copperopolis Gary Wayne Lee, 34, 5000 block of Chuckwagon Drive, Copperopolis, booked on suspicion of receiving stolen property, resisting a peace officer, possessing bad checks and forgery after arrest at his home. As of this morning he remained in jail, held in lieu of $100,000 bail. 2:50 p.m., Copperopolis Alan David Seider, 48, 5000 block of Hub Court, Copperopolis, booked on suspicion of receiving stolen property, resisting a peace officer, forgery and possessing bad checks or money orders after arrest at his home. As of this morning he remained in jail, held in lieu of $100,000 bail. 8:12 a.m., Copperopolis Eric Richard Smith, 38, 2000 block of Quail Hill Road, Copperopolis, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after arrest on the 5000 block of Chuckwagon Drive. He has since been released after posting $50,000 bail. |
