TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY
    8:24 a.m., Sonora area — Someone on the Mono Way exit of Highway 108 said there was a small dog wearing a cape or jacket near the roadway. The caller was concerned the dog may be lost or run into traffic.
    12:52 p.m., Jamestown — Someone walked into the Sheriff’s Office to report a chair strapped to a tree on the corner of Ninth Avenue and Seventh Street. The person said the chair had a “strange” pipe on it and a note was attached to it.
    5:24 p.m., Long Barn — Someone said four gold chains valued at less than $1,000 were stolen from a residence on the 24900 block of Highway 108.
    7:03 p.m., Tuolumne — A small bag of meth was found on the game room floor at Black Oak Casino.
    7:31 p.m., Jamestown — A business on Main Street received a counterfeit $5 bill.
    11:19 p.m., Jamestown — A man arrived at his vacation home on the 16200 block of Stamp Mill Loop West to find it had been burglarized.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY
    3:54 a.m., burglary — Officers responded to an alarm at Pop Hobby on the 600 block of Sanguinetti Road. Someone gained access to the store by kicking in the personnel door in the back. The burglar took some batteries and chargers, but owner Ted Amos said no money is left in the store overnight.
    11:46 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman on North Stewart Street said her car alarm went off during the night and she found the door open in the morning. There was no damage to her vehicle and nothing was missing, so she requested extra patrol in the area at night.
    2:07 p.m., theft — Two minors were detained on suspicion of stealing a small enameled pill box from a store on South Washington Street. One minor was turned over to a parent and the other to probation.

WEDNESDAY
    2:30 a.m., Tuolumne — Peggy Lynn Grote, 53, of the 9700 block of Smith Station Road, Groveland, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North.
    3:24 p.m., Columbia — Joel Gordon Lacitignola, 32, of the 100 block of O’Hara Drive, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest near Parrotts Ferry Road and Silver Springs Drive.


CALAVERAS COUNTY

    The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:
WEDNESDAY
    12:13 p.m., Valley Springs — A residential burglary occurred on South Camanche Parkway.
    1:15 p.m., Valley Springs — An arrest was made after an altercation at a residence on Cedar Street.

WEDNESDAY
    12 p.m., Angels Camp — Jesse Odell Franks, 37, of the 100 block of North Main Street, was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats and misdemeanor assault and battery, after an arrest at his home.
    2:20 p.m., Valley Springs — James Macklin Maclauchlan, 42, of an unknown address in Valley Springs, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at the intersection of Cedar Street and Highway 12.
