    The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

    7:39 a.m., Columbia — A woman on 23300 block of Rancho Castanea Road said someone stole her dog, siphoned gas out of her truck, doused her trailer with kerosene and tried to set it on fire.
 10:32 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 15600 block of Big Hill Road said someone broke into her cabin but nothing was missing.
    3:29 p.m., Sonora area — Someone said a residence on the 23000 block of Mine Shaft Court was burglarized and two jewelry boxes and three silver bracelets were taken.
    5:49 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone broke into a residence on the 23400 block of Shadybrook Drive and stole guns, videos and several other items.
    7 p.m., East Sonora — A man was seen trying to break into a vehicle with a coat hanger in a parking lot on the 13700 block of Mono Way. The suspect fled on foot after the vehicle’s owner yelled at him.
Felony bookings

    5:14 p.m., Sonora — Narrie Alfaro, 39, no address listed, was booked on suspicion of burglary and drug possession, after an arrest on the 600 block of South Washington Street.
    6:29 p.m., Sonora — Adam Pierce Hoskins, 25, of the 10600 block of Jim Brady Road, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and receiving stolen property, after an arrest on Greenley Road near Sonora Regional Medical Center’s north parking lot.
 The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

    1 p.m., burglary — A woman on O’Hara Drive said someone tampered with the lock on her door and now she can’t open it. The locksmith was able to open the door and she immediately noticed items had been stolen.


    The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

    12:17 p.m., San Andreas — There was a verbal altercation at apartments on East St. Charles Street.
    1:41 p.m., Angels Camp — A business on Highway 49 reported receiving a fraudulent check.
    2:09 p.m., San Andreas — Someone said a physical assault occurred on Oak Street.
    2:50 p.m., Murphys — A burglary occurred on Forest Meadows Drive.

Felony bookings

    1:30 p.m., San Andreas — Tamara Marie Sutton, 54, of the 12300 block of Steadman Ranch Road, Burson, was booked on suspicion of burglary, after an arrest on the 100 block of East Saint Charles Street.


    Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

    8:34 a.m., Angels Camp — John Michael Robinson, 57, of the 1000 block of Mark Twain Road, was arrested on Finnegan Lane at Gold Cliff Road.
