TUOLUMNE COUNTY The Sheriff’s Office reported the following: WEDNESDAY 11:35 a.m., Jamestown — A man said there have been several recent incidents where benches, fences and signs have been spray painted around the Rolling Oaks subdivision. 4:32 p.m., Jamestown — Someone on the 10600 block of Wigwam Road said there were fraudulent purchases made on a debit card. 8:36 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone was told by Microsoft to contact the Sheriff’s Office to report possible Internet fraud. THURSDAY 7:44 a.m., Jamestown — Someone left a threatening note and defecated on the front steps of a business on the 18200 block of Smoke Street. The Sonora Police Department reported the following: WEDNESDAY 8:18 a.m., fraud — A business on Mono Way received a fraudulent check from a customer. CALAVERAS COUNTY The Sheriff’s Office reported the following: WEDNESDAY 10:07 a.m., Burson — Someone stole tools from a garage on Evans Road. 5:24 p.m., Arnold — There was a burglary to a residence on Medinah Drive. Felony bookings WEDNESDAY 3:24 a.m., San Andreas — Todd Andrew Cook, 38, of the 1900 block of Gold Strike Road, was booked on suspicion of assault, making criminal threats and drug possession, after an arrest at his home. Fire calls WEDNESDAY 8 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A grass fire started on the 18000 block of Jesus Maria Road. Units from Cal Fire, Central Calaveras Fire and Rescue and the Mokelumne Hill and San Andreas fire protection districts battled the blaze. The fire was contained at about 2:15 p.m. after burning through one-and-a-half acres of brush, timber and oak woodland vegetation. The damage amount is estimated at $300, according to Cal Fire. There were no injuries. |
