Sheriff's reports

WEDNESDAY

7:41 a.m., Tuolumne — A woman heard a loud buzzing noise coming from a mobile home on the 17800 block of Apple Colony Road. The man who lives at the house was not home.

8:41 a.m., Standard area — A woman said checks belonging to Gatewood Heating and Air on the 18900 block of Industry Way were stolen and possibly cashed in Stanislaus County.

10:02 a.m., Twain Harte — A man on Ontario Drive said his wife's diamond ring was stolen from their vehicle in the last two days.

10:53 a.m., Crystal Falls — A Tuolumne County Animal Control officer said he was assaulted by a man on the 21500 block of Eel River Drive.

1:41 p.m., Columbia area — A driver was cited for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on Sawmill Flat Road.

1:51 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman driving on Tuolumne Road said another woman threw a cigarette out the window of a blue car.

2:13 p.m., Sugar Pine — A man said someone was cutting trees again on his Golf Links Road property.

2:22 p.m., Groveland — A woman came to the sheriff's office to report guns were stolen from her house on Beck Road.

3:57 p.m., Columbia — A man said his tractor was vandalized while it was parked on Italian Bar Road near Forest Service Road 3N15. He said several windows were broken and the radiator was punctured.

4:06 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A caller said a teenage boy and his mother on Ridge Trail Court were fighting over laundry.

5:08 p.m., Rancho Sonora Estates — A 19-year-old man was arrested on misdemeanor warrants from both Tuolumne and Stanislaus counties at his house on Race Track Road near West Walnut Drive.

5:19 p.m., Standard area — A man on the 15000 block of Cavalieri Road said there was a bad smell coming from his house and suspected a grandson was smoking marijuana.

5:47 p.m., Rancho Sonora Estates — A woman on the 20000 block of Bay Meadow Drive said her garage door was open when she returned home, but nothing appeared to have been stolen from the house.

7:01 p.m., Jamestown — An off-duty sheriff's sergeant mediated a disturbance at a restaurant on the 18000 block of Main Street. A patron did not want to pay a large bill because of what he said was poor service.

9:51 p.m., Jamestown — A 34-year-old man was booked on misdemeanor warrants after a woman called 911 to say the man was causing a disturbance at a house on Ninth Street.

10:34 p.m., Tuolumne — A man said he heard what sounded like someone taking down the Tuolumne Utilities District gate at the end of Mt. Provo Road near Old Buchanan Mine Road.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

11:46 p.m., Groveland — David Richard Bymers, 22, 200 block of Sylvan Drive, Sonora, booked on suspicion of possessing ammunition while being prohibited from having a firearm, misdemeanor possession of burglary tools and a Mariposa County warrant charging him with burglary after an arrest on the 18900 block of Highway 120.

No details were available. He remained held this morning without bail.

Lisa Ann Shryock, 43, 1600 block of Sawmill Road, Copperopolis, booked at 1:05 p.m., Wednesday after arrest on Highway 108 at Chicken Ranch Road, Jamestown area.

Sonora police reports

WEDNESDAY

11:53 a.m., animal complaints — A caller said a small, tan dog was in the post office on South Washington Street.

2:01 p.m., animal complaints — A caller said small brown-and-white dog was aggressive on North Norlin Street.

2:52 p.m., animal complaints — A woman said that while she and her three children were walking home, two dogs charged them on Shaws Flat Road.

5:15 p.m., found property — A caller found a woman's wallet on Highway 108 near Jamestown and turned it in. The owner retrieved the wallet and said nothing was missing.

6:16 p.m., warrant arrest — A 24-year-old woman was cited and released for a misdemeanor charge of failure to appear on a city infraction after a traffic stop on Sanguinetti Road.

7:26 p.m., traffic accident — A police community service unit volunteer took drivers' names at a non-injury traffic accident on East Lyons Street.

8:23 p.m., theft — A 52-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting at Wal-Mart on Sanguinetti Road.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

Sheriff's reports

WEDNESDAY

9:37 a.m., Arnold — A van was parked behind a bank on Blagen Road for two days. A dog found inside the van was given to Animal Control and the van was turned over to the California Highway Patrol.

9:44 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller said a large shoe print was on the door of a business on the 1900 block of Vista Del Lago Drive. A business on the same block was burglarized Tuesday night.

11:25 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 7800 block of Cabernet Street reported an ongoing dispute with a neighbor.

11:56 a.m., Rail Road Flat —A caller said a deer was hit on the 600 block of Ridge Road.

12:17 p.m., San Andreas — A caller on the 10400 block of Fricot City Road said a dog from a neighboring vineyard had been going after people at Rite of Passage. The caller said he or she went after the dog with a stick, and the dog's owner yelled and threatened the caller.

1:20 p.m., Rail Road Flat — A man was refused service at a gas station on the 6500 block of Rail Road Flat Road because he was overdue on his charge account by 11 months, a caller said. The man became verbally abusive, the caller said.

1:21 p.m., Arnold — Two men in a vehicle on Rancho Paradiso Road acted suspiciously when asked by a deputy if they needed help. They said they were waiting for someone to bring them gas and then pointed to a house known for drug use.

2:36 p.m., San Andreas — People inside a white Toyota were yelling at a woman on the 100 block of Pope Street. A man came out of the house where the woman lived and the car left.

3:38 p.m., Wallace — A man reportedly assaulted a female family member on the 11000 block of Shelton Road. The woman didn't want to press charges, but the man was arrested on warrants.

4 p.m., San Andreas — Tools were reportedly taken from a rental property on the 400 block of Market Street.

Alan Moore Almeida, 20, 8600 block of Avenue A, Mountain Ranch, booked at 11:48 p.m. Wednesday after his arrest at the intersection of Mountain Ranch Road and Blacksmith Avenue.
