CALAVERAS COUNTY

    The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY
    6:19 p.m., Arnold — A report was taken after a door was found left open at a residence on Marti Drive.

THURSDAY
    7:16 a.m., Valley Springs — Fuel tanks were broken into at a maintenance shop on La Contenta Drive.
    7:18 a.m., Arnold — A fight occurred at a residence on Camanche Drive and in the morning vehicles at the residence were found vandalized. Someone had also gone through the vehicles and money was also taken from a wallet.

WEDNESDAY
    12:07 p.m., Rail Road Flat — Kathleen Cassel, 51, of the 500 block of Russell Road, San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest on the 2300 block of Wagner Road.

TUOLUMNE COUNTY

    The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY
    11:35 a.m., Sonora area — Expensive drill bits were stolen from a welding business on the 19900 block of El Ray Lane.
    3:10 p.m, Mi-Wuk Village — Someone heard glass breaking at a neighbor’s vacation cabin on the 24000 block of Pine Lake Drive and saw a gray sedan with two men in it. The driver dropped the passenger off and then drove up the road and came back to pick up the passenger. The vehicle was last seen turning down Redwood Drive.
    3:18 p.m., Sonora area — Someone checking on a house on Rawhide Road just before Highway 49 noticed the door handles were broken off and the garage door had been opened.

WEDNESDAY
    1:15 a.m., Jamestown — Cheryl Ann Burton, 43, of Rolling Hills Boulevard, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on Highway 120 west of O’Byrnes Ferry Road.

    The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY
    1:32 p.m., theft — A woman on West Sunset Street said her dog was taken from her yard by another woman. The dog was described as a brown and white Jack Russell terrier.
    6:19 a.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone said two men were playing in the roadway and causing traffic to come to an abrupt stop on the 1100 block of Mono Way. One of them was laughing and laying in the road. Officers responding to the scene requested an ambulance for the man due to a medical condition. Both men refused medical treatment and asked for a ride to The Junction shopping center on Mono Way to meet a friend who would pick them up.
    9:48 p.m., animal complaints — An officer on South Washington Street located a small terrier dog with a white body and brown head. The officer dropped the dog off at Tuolumne County Animal Control.
