    The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

    7:39 a.m., Groveland — About 500 feet of copper wire was stolen from the 19200 block of Second Garrotte Ridge Road.
    1:59 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10300 block of Willow Street received a call from a man with a foreign accent informing her she needed a new Medicare card. He asked for her bank account and routing numbers and she gave them to him. She later realized it was a scam, closed her account and called the authorities.
    2:14 p.m., Jamestown — Someone saw a man dragging another man on the ground near the 18100 block of Main Street. Deputies arrived and found a 25-year-old man lying near the Jamestown Hotel. He was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and a felony warrant.
    2:35 p.m., Sonora area — A man on the 20500 block of Meadow Brook Drive said he saw a car drive past his house toward a dead-end. He went out the back of his residence and saw someone walking up his neighbor’s steps. The person ran away when they saw him looking.
    3:45 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 11800 block of Campo Seco Road said her house was ransacked. It was determined that entry was made through unlocked doors.
    5:18 p.m., Tuolumne — A man on the 20100 block of Old Buchanan Mine Road said he got out of jail to find his house had been broken into and his vehicle was stolen.
    5:23 p.m., Crystal Falls — A residence on the 16900 block of American River Drive West was burglarized.
    6:50 p.m., Sonora area — A residence on the 20100 block of Gibbs Drive was burglarized sometime in the past few weeks.


    Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

    4:22 p.m., Sonora — Lynda Gail Pappageorge, 54, of the 100 block of Oak Wood Court, Copperopolis, was arrested on the 1000 block of Mono Way.   
    The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

    9:47 a.m., theft — Letters were stolen from a store’s sign on the 1000 block of Mono Way. The items were valued at $1,800.
    7:56 p.m., hazardous situation — About 20 bags of garbage were blocking both lanes of traffic on Stockton Road. Caltrans was advised and the road was cleared.


    The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

    8:37 a.m, Murphys — Items were reported stolen from a garage on Foster Court.
    9:03 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A garage or shop was broken into on Live Oak Lane.
    10:46 a.m., Murphys — A report was taken for vandalism to the entrance of Forest Meadows.
    11:14 a.m, Murphys — A person was battered on French Gulch Road.
    12:34 p.m., Burson — Grand theft was reported on West Highway 12.
    12:47 p.m., San Andreas — A battery occurred on Mountain Ranch Road.
    5:44 p.m., Angels Camp — A shed was burglarized on Highway 49.
    5:52 p.m., Murphys — A residence was burglarized on French Gulch Road.

Felony bookings

    12:01 p.m., San Andreas — Jennifer Michelle Underwood, 29, of the 500 block of Angels Road, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest on Russell Road.

    Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

    12:15 a.m., Copperopolis area — Garrett Leigh Collum, 21, of Rocky Hill Road, was arrested on Pool Station Road at Highway 4.
    1:10 a.m., Angels Camp area — Penny Marie Goytia, of Campbell, was arrested on Highway 4 at Angel Oaks Drive.
