Sheriff's reports

TUESDAY

9:03 a.m., Groveland — A woman said a house on the 20400 block of Rock Canyon Way was vandalized, causing an estimated $4,000 to $7,000 damage. No details were available.

2:28 p.m., Groveland — A woman on the 18600 block of Harper Road said white paint was smeared on a planter in front of her home and on other items in her yard.

2:40 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said a man was trespassing on property on the 10200 block of Highway 49.

3:12 p.m., Groveland — A man said motorcycles driven at the landfill on Merrill Road were destroying part of the landfill.

3:20 p.m., Tuolumne area — A caller said her neighbor's minor-age children were being left home alone, and that this is an ongoing problem.

6:35 p.m., Soulsbyville — A woman on the 16000 block of Moonlight Hill Road said her daughter saw a man peering into a kitchen window.

11:14 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said an unknown number of people were walking around private property on the 21000 block of Shaws Flat Road and thought it was suspicious.

11:37 p.m., Sonora — Officers from California Highway Patrol, Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department and Sonora Police were unable to find a man who ran from them near Bonanza Road and Alpine Lane. The man was first seen driving recklessly on Stockton Road near Sonora Community Hospital. When stopped on Bonanza Road, the man ran away.

YESTERDAY

8:10 a.m., Sonora — June Marie Carr, 47, 21400 block of Green Meadow Court, Sonora, booked on a warrant charging her with passing worthless checks and a court violation after she turned herself in. She was released on her own recognizance.

10:15 a.m., Sonora — Tara Lea Meichtry, 24, 22700 block of South Fork Road, Sonora, booked on a warrant charging her with grand theft. She turned herself in on the warrant and was booked and released.

8:13 p.m. Sonora — Julio Cesar Ramirez, 20, unknown address, Sonora, booked on an immigration and naturalization department hold after an arrest on the 100 block of South Green Street, Sonora. He was held without bail pending release to immigration officials.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Donald Burt Allen, 45, 10100 block of Peppermint Circle, Jamestown, booked at 12:30 this morning after arrest on Seco Street, Jamestown.

TUESDAY

12:09 a.m., citizen assist — An officer helped a moving-truck driver who looked lost on Sanguinetti Road.

12:40 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman on the 400 block of Greenley Road called 911 and said she heard a noise outside her bedroom window.

7:50 a.m., traffic accident — A non-injury crash was reported on South Washington Street.

9:40 a.m., found property — A wallet was found on top of a building in Sonora Plaza on Mono Way.

9:48 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury crash was reported on the 70 block of Elm Street.

12:29 p.m., lost property — A man said he lost a fanny pack containing medication on Sanguinetti Road.

2:43 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone in a bright orange T-shirt was seen driving a small motorbike without a helmet on Stockton Road. The driver ran a red light, the caller said.

3:05 p.m., fight — A woman on the 1100 block of Shaws Flat Road said she was in an argument with her boyfriend, and he called her names and threatened to kill her dog.

4:52 p.m., hazard — A driveline fell out of a truck and blocked the driveway to a business on Mono Way in The Timberhills shopping center.

5:36 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone was seen riding a small motorbike on North Forest Road near Sonora Community Hospital.

9:23 p.m., suspicious circumstances — An officer checked on unoccupied vehicles at a business on Shaws Flat Road.

9:24 p.m., assault — A caller at the Beacon gas station on the 300 block of South Washington Street said a juvenile tried to steal cigarettes and beer from the store, and when leaving the store got into a physical fight with an off-duty employee.

11:10 p.m., warrant arrest — A 19-year-old man was arrested on two Tuolumne County misdemeanor warrants charging him with failure to appear in court on several traffic-related violations. He also was arrested on a misdemeanor out-of-county warrant for a traffic violation.

11:52 p.m., traffic accident — A minor injury hit-and-run crash was reported on Bonanza Road.

11:58 a.m., Murphys — A man was reportedly causing a disturbance on the 80 block of Highway 4 in Murphys Square.

2:06 p.m., Murphys — A caller said skateboarders were causing problems on the 200 block of Main Street.

3:40 p.m., San Andreas — A Calaveras High School employee said school property was vandalized.

9:29 p.m., Valley Springs — A man on the 4000 block of Dunn Road said he found a wheelchair in his driveway that didn't belong to him.

11:35 a.m., Copperopolis — A 44-year-old Copperopolis man booked on suspicion of felony battery after arrest on the 2800 block of Cheyenne, Copperopolis. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $50,000 bail.

TODAY

12:55 a.m., Burson — Sara Grace Caywood, 25, 6700 block of Garner Place, Valley Springs, booked on a San Joaquin County warrant charging her with possessing a controlled substance, misdemeanor petty theft and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest at a business on Highway 12 in Burson. She was taken to the San Joaquin County Jail and held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
