TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

10:21 a.m., Twain Harte — A shopping center representative asked for advice about homeless people defecating on the property during the night. Options discussed included using private security and video surveillance. Extra patrol was requested when available.

10:35 a.m., Soulsbyville — Jewelry was stolen sometime in the last three or four months from a residence on the 17000 block of Monte Grande Drive.

10:49 a.m., East Sonora — A business employee on the 13700 block of Mono Way thought a man cashed a check there for $525 that was fraudulently made on the man’s home computer.

12:32 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 19000 block of Outlook Drive went out to get his mail and found a green substance with a note referencing drug use.

1:05 p.m., Jamestown — Someone stole a $735 money order from a lockbox at a residence on the 10200 block of Preston Lane.

1:10 p.m., Columbia — A man said his elderly mother on the 10900 block of Green Street has been getting scam calls, and they are now threatening him. He was advised to block the number and discussed having the Sheriff’s Office Community Service Unit make a presentation about phone fraud at the senior citizen park where his mother lives.

1:46 p.m., Groveland — A resident of the 11500 block of Noels Dirt Road was sent two fraudulent money orders, each for $975, from someone wishing to buy his piano.

2:31 p.m., Jamestown — A resident of the 17600 block of Rolling Hills Boulevard said the Internal Revenue Service told her someone else had claimed her 14-year-old son on their taxes. She was advised to get a copy of his credit report and see if any accounts have been opened in his name.

7:03 p.m., Tuolumne — A huge tree was blocking Wards Ferry Road near Yosemite Road. A nearby resident partially moved it with a tractor to unblock one lane.

8:41 p.m., Standard — A large tree was blocking the northbound lane of Standard Road about 200 feet north of Camage.

10:31 p.m., Phoenix Lake area — A tree blocking Phoenix Lake Road near Hess Avenue was removed.

Felony bookings

TUESDAY

1:56 a.m., Sonora — Reba Ellen Ingram, 51, 17400 block of Highway 108 in Jamestown, was booked on felony charges of bringing alcohol or drugs into the jail, possessing a controlled substance and carrying a concealed dirk or dagger, along with a misdemeanor charge of destroying or concealing evidence, after she was arrested on the 400 block of Greenley Road in Sonora.

TUESDAY

1:09 a.m., Twain Harte — Trinity Jaleen Fields-Richardson, 22, 21850 Confidence Road, Twain Harte, after arrest on Highway 108 west of East Avenue.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

8:48 a.m., vandalism — The window was broken out of a truck on Hope Lane overnight.

9:51 a.m., traffic accident — A hit and run accident was reported at Sonora Plaza on Mono Way.

10:55 a.m., vandalism — A trailer being pulled by a truck hit a stop sign at a Mono Way exit of Sonora Plaza shopping center on Mono Way.

7:02 p.m., public assist — A tree fell into a vehicle with a person inside, but there was no injury.

6:23 p.m., traffic accident — A tree fell on a vehicle while a man was driving it on East Lyons Street.

8:40 p.m., hazardous situation — A tree fell and was leaning against a house on South Stewart Street.

8:52 p.m., property damage — A large limb fell on a vehicle on North Stewart Street.

 

 

CALAVERAS COUNTY

 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

 

TUESDAY

9:29 a.m., San Andreas — An arrest was made on Sunset Street an out of county warrant.

3:39 p.m., San Andreas — A verbal altercation took place at a mobile home park on Mountain Ranch Road.

 

Felony bookings

 

TUESDAY

10:50 p.m., Burson — Bonnie Lee McGregor, 40, of the 12000 block of Wade Lane in Burson, was booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, not a firearm and felony vandalism after being arrested at her residence.
