The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:11 a.m., Groveland — Gas was siphoned from two trucks and a winch was stolen on Cherry Oil Road.

10:46 a.m., Twain Harte — Medication was stolen from a home on the 22600 block of Golf Club Drive during a party in January.

12:34 p.m., East Sonora — A woman used another person’s food stamps card and stole a backpack from a cart at a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way. She dropped her wallet on the way out.

2:08 p.m., Groveland — Items were stolen from a residence on the 23000 block of Hells Hollow Road.

2:22 p.m., Long Barn — A woman said she and her boyfriend were assaulted by her sons on the 24900 block of Highway 108. She also said they took about 30 guns from her late husband’s residence on Pine Lake Drive.

3:01 p.m., Sonora area — A vacuum system was stolen from a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

8:53 p.m., Sonora area — A blower and chain saw were stolen from a truck on the 16800 block of American River Drive.

Felony bookings


11:03 a.m., Sonora area — Jeremia Taylor, 31, of the 19700 block of Serrano Road, was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft after an arrest at his home. 

9:02 p.m., East Sonora — Ernest Tyler Mittry, 28, of the 600 block of Barretta Street, was booked on suspicion of possession of narcotics, a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant after an arrest on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


9:55 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A customer was trespassed after yelling at employees of a business on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

12:20 p.m., assault — People were injured in a fight at a restaurant on the 100 block of South Washington Street on Sunday.

2:14 p.m., theft — A person walked out of a business on the 100 block of Stockton Road without paying for a full cart of groceries.

2:20 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A person was admonished after continuously watching employees of a store on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road.

7:02 p.m., traffic violation — A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving without a license on South Washington Street.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:09 a.m., Jenny Lind — A fight was reported on Miles Road.

9:12 a.m., Vallecito — A commercial burglary was reported on Red Hill Road.

10:01 a.m., Valley Springs — A warrant arrest was made on Quail Oaks Road.

10:14 a.m., San Andreas — Grand theft was reported at a mobile home park on Calaveritas Road.

10:59 a.m., San Andreas — A 50-year-old man was arrested at Mark Twain Medical Center on suspicion of vandalism.

1:49 p.m., Murphys — Poultry was stolen on Highway 4.

1:39 p.m., Copperopolis — A vehicle was burglarized at a storage facility on Cosmic Court.

2:59 p.m., Arnold — A vending machine was stolen from a business on Cypress Point Drive.

5:29 p.m., Angels Camp — Theft was reported on Pool Station Road.


1:57 a.m., Valley Springs — A rock was thrown at a window of a building on Jensen Court.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


2:40 p.m., West Point — John Earl Embery Jr., 38, of the 1800 block of Ridge Road, Rail Road Flat,  was booked after an arrest on Highway 26, north of Railroad Flat Road.
