Sheriff's reports

THURSDAY

7:52 a.m., Groveland — A vehicle parked on the 20900 block of Hillcroft Drive was vandalized. A woman said glue had been sprayed on one side and a rear tire was slashed.

8:16 a.m., Standard — A Curtis Creek School administrator said a parent of a student suspended from school refused to leave the campus. The parent was reportedly going to confront other students who she claimed were responsible for her son's suspension.

9:58 a.m., East Sonora — A woman said while her truck was parked at The Junction shopping center it was scratched causing about $400 in damages.

10:49 a.m., Columbia — A man said lumber was stolen from a construction site on the 22100 block of Becky River Lane.

11:49 a.m., Sonora — Guns and old ammunition were turned over to the sheriff's department for destruction.

2:35 p.m., West Tuolumne County — A man said $700 was taken from under a bed at the Winkin Lantern on the 14400 block of Highway 108.

4:31 p.m., Standard area — A woman on the 19000 block of Waif Mine Road said Christmas decorations stored in containers were stolen from her home.

5:53 p.m., East Sonora — A caller said a man had fallen down twice while trying to get into a vehicle parked at a convenience store on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

FRIDAY

7:13 a.m., Sonora area — A woman said the windows were shot out of an older white car parked on the side of Shaws Flat Road. The car also had spray paint all over it.

8:18 a.m., Sonora area — A man said he saw a man wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans lying in a field on the left side of Highway 49 south of Parrotts Ferry Road.

8:48 a.m., Columbia — A woman at an undisclosed address on Parrotts Ferry Road said a couple were yelling and screaming at one another next door and that the man was threatening to hit the woman.

9:21 a.m., Twain Harte area — A woman on the 16600 block of Oakhaven Lane said someone cut down her U.S. flag Thursday night.

10:42 a.m., Jamestown area — The California Highway Patrol reported a driver in a maroon pickup parked at the corner of Rawhide Road and Shell Road who appeared to be watching a house. The vehicle had been there since 7:30 a.m.

11:36 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman said her 16-year-old son was trying to break into her house on the 23100 block of Oakview drive.

1:35 p.m., Groveland — A representative with Hetch Hetchy Water and Power reported undisclosed suspicious circumstances.

1:52 p.m., Phoenix Lake — A man on the 21700 block of El Coyote Drive reported a possible telephone scam. When the man called back an 800 number, the person on the line asked him for his Social Security number. The man refused to identify himself or the company he was representing.

2:55 p.m., Shaws Flat — A woman on the 10800 block of Highway 49 said someone broke into her property in Columbia.

3:20 p.m., Sonora area — A woman cleaning an apartment on Crow Court said another woman moving out of an apartment yelled profanities at her and said she was going to smash the caller's face in.

3:34 p.m., Soulsbyville — A woman said her 10-year-old daughter was assaulted on the school bus Friday morning by the girl's step-brother.

4:07 p.m., Old Priest Grade — Someone in a red vehicle was seen reading a book on Old Priest Grade.

4:09 p.m., Jamestown — A woman at a business on Main Street said two or three suspicious-looking men or boys walked past her business. She said they go behind a nearby business every day and smoke.

4:21 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman said two eighth-grade boys forced their way into her house after demanding that her 13-year-old daughter let them in. When the girls would not let them in, they broke out a window in the back door and got in. Once in the house, the boys tried to take the girl's house key off her belt loop.

5:53 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man on Lama Hisum Road said a light was on at a neighbor's house, which is usually vacant.

7:46 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said numerous fireworks were being set off in the area.

9:26 p.m., Strawberry — A man said it appeared someone tried to break into a vacation home on Georges Drive.

10:09 p.m., Sugar Pine — A man on the 24100 block of Pine Lake Drive said he heard an explosion nearby, possibly from Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. He said he saw someone run from the church and heard children's voices.

10:48 p.m., Chinese Camp — A man on the 9700 block of Rock River Road said someone, possibly a poacher, was in his field.

SATURDAY

8:49 a.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 22700 block of Virginia Avenue said people have been dumping trash at the end of the road. He said it is an ongoing problem.

9:15 a.m., Columbia — A woman said unknown persons stole gas from private vehicles at the Columbia Airport on the 10700 block of Airport Road North.

10:03 a.m., Phoenix Lake area — A woman on the 20600 block of Phoenix Lake Road said a white vehicle has been parked by her mailbox since Friday. The car had broken down and was towed away.

10:43 a.m., Sonora area — A man on the 20300 block of Eureka Drive said someone dumped juice and stuck Gummi bears on his friend's vehicle.

10:50 a.m., Sugar Pine — A woman said windows were broken out of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church on the 24100 block of Pine Lake Drive on Friday night or Saturday morning.

12:22 p.m., Tuolumne — A man on the 20100 block of Tuolumne Road North said someone broke into his vehicle and stole a brown leather jacket.

12:25 p.m., Jamestown area — A man on Shell Road said he found a piece of insulation with duct tape and plastic. A NASA official called him and requested the Sheriff's Department take digital pictures of the find.

2:29 p.m., Soulsbyville — A woman said an elderly man was walking around near the intersection of Highway 108 and Via Este.

2:21 p.m., Sierra Village — A man said his neighbor flipped him off and yelled profanities at him. He said she also threatened to beat up the woman he was with.

2:59 p.m., Camp Sunshine area — Two people reported seeing someone riding a dirt bike on private property on Serrano Road off Highway 108.

4:24 p.m., Tuolumne — A man on the 19700 block of Mi-Wuk Street said someone he knew stole from him.

5:06 p.m., Stent — A woman said another woman who had been in a blue pickup, was running and screaming in the middle of the roadway. The caller said the woman said her boyfriend was hitting her.

7:10 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 18200 block of Smoke Street said a man who had been drinking was at his mother's house causing a disturbance.

8:35 p.m., Big Oak Flat — Someone said an intoxicated person was causing a disturbance at a residence on the 11900 block of Black Road.

8:50 p.m., La Grange — Two callers said there were people arguing in front of their houses on Pepito Drive.

10:05 p.m., Jamestown — A woman at a Sonora emergency room said she was assaulted two days ago in Jamestown.

10:25 p.m., Chinese Camp — A man said he found a fishing vest full of rotten fish hanging from a bush on Serpentine Loop Road. He thought that was suspicious.

SUNDAY

5:24 a.m., Jamestown area — California Highway Patrol reported intoxicated persons who appeared to be lying down at the intersection of Twist and Jacksonville roads.

5:56 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 14100 block of Tuolumne Road said she heard something hit a window of her mobile home.

9:02 a.m., Sonora area — A man on the 20400 block of Lyons Bald Mountain Road said someone has built a "shack" and dug some holes on his property. He wanted to talk to a deputy about the problem.

10:33 a.m., La Grange — A woman on Pepito Drive said she was assaulted by another woman Saturday night.

THURSDAY

1:42 a.m., suspicious circumstances — An officer checked on a man on Saratoga Road.

2:53 a.m., suspicious circumstances — An unknown person called 911. A dispatcher was unsure what the problem was, because the person sounded intoxicated.

3:32 a.m., warrant arrest — A 22-year-old man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant on Pesce Way.

11:29 a.m., traffic accident — A non-injury crash was reported in the parking lot of the Tuolumne County Library on the 400 block of Greenley Road.

3:41 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury crash was reported on Mono Way.

4:40 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman on the 800 block of North Arbona Circle said her garage door was open when she returned home from work. She wanted an officer to check her house. The door was closed when she left.

4:44 p.m., animal complaint — A person was cited for not having a license for his or her dog.

5:44 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury crash was reported at the intersection of Mono Way and Greenley Road.

9:22 p.m., animal complaint — Someone spotted puppies in the roadway on South Washington Street near the intersection with Restano Way.

10:13 p.m., suspicious circumstances — An officer checked on a bicyclist behind a business on the 700 block of Mono Way.

FRIDAY

1 a.m., agency assist — An officer was called to help Tuolumne General Hospital employees with a patient who refused to leave the emergency room after being released.

1:50 a.m., fight — An argument was reported at a bar on the 90 block of South Washington Street.

4:14 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A man in a white coat was screaming in Courthouse Square on the first block of South Washington Street, a woman reported.

6:08 a.m., warrant arrest — A 32-year-old woman was arrested on a Tuolumne County misdemeanor warrant.

8:09 a.m., reckless driving — A woman said a pickup driver was "all over the roadway" from Morningstar Drive to the parking lot at Sonora Elementary School. Three children were in the pickup.

12:25 p.m., stalking — A caller said he or she was being stalked.

2 p.m., threats — A woman said a fellow worker and his friends were threatening her at her workplace on the 800 block of Sanguinetti Road.

3:21 p.m., suspicious circumstances — An officer spoke with someone on East Bradford Avenue.

5:18 p.m., public intoxication arrest — A 55-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication after an unknown 911 caller said the woman was intoxicated and going after the caller's daughter.

5:36 p.m., public peace — A group of skateboarders was seen hanging out by a black van outside a business in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

7:26 p.m., theft — A man said someone stole items — including his house keys and wallet — from his car while it was parked at his Summit Avenue house or from his Jamestown workplace.

9:47 p.m., suspicious circumstances — An officer checked on three youths in back of a business on the 600 block of South Washington Street.

SATURDAY

8:10 a.m., found property — A woman found two new bicycles near her house on the 300 block of East Jackson Street.

2:23 p.m., vehicle theft — A man said someone stole his pickup about 9 p.m. Friday from the city parking lot at the intersection of East Lyons Street and South Stewart Street.

3:44 p.m., vandalism — A man on the 90 block of Summit Avenue said someone slashed a tire on his pickup in front of his house.

FRIDAY

5 p.m., Tuolumne — A debris burn reportedly got out of control on the 18600 block of Carter Street. No dollar damage was reported. Tuolumne Fire Protection District, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.

SUNDAY

12:20 p.m., Willow Springs area — An escaped debris burn was reported on the 20700 block of Willow Springs Drive. David Munnert of the same address owns the property. No dollar damage was reported.

6:30 p.m., Crystal Falls area — A spot fire was reported on the 21700 block of Crystal Falls Drive. No dollar damage was reported. The fire was caused by children playing with matches, officials said. Tuolumne County Roads Department owns the land. CDF and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.

THURSDAY

10:03 a.m., Copperopolis — A caller on the 2300 block of Brave Street said mail was stolen from a mailbox.

11:49 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — A house on the 8000 block of Highway 26 was said to be vandalized.

12:05 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 1500 block of Quail Oaks Road said trash had been illegally dumped on the property.

FRIDAY

6:54 p.m., Dorrington — A caller on the 3900 block of Crow Drive said his dog was shot with a BB gun.

9:29 p.m., Valley Springs — An argument was reported on the 6600 block of Garner Place.

11:57 p.m., Milton — A caller said two people were driving small cars around a cemetery on the 17700 block of Milton Road.

SATURDAY

5:39 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller from an undisclosed address reported undisclosed vandalism.

6:11 a.m., Murphys — A deputy checked on an open door at Feeney Park.

9:37 a.m., theft — A caller said someone stole items from a construction site on the 300 block of Hawks Landing.

FRIDAY

4:15 p.m., Valley Springs area — A vacuum filter caught fire in a home on the 2300 block of Hart Vickson Lane. Damage was estimated at $25. Jim Sims from Ben Lomond owns the property. Tenants were Val and Sandra Franklin of the same address. CDF, Foothill Fire Protection District and San Andreas Fire Protection District responded.

5:30 p.m., Mountain Ranch — An escaped debris burn was reported on the 9900 block of Rodesino Road. No dollar damage was reported. Thomas Guthrie of the same address owns the property. West Point Fire Protection District responded.

SUNDAY

4:30 p.m., Arnold area — A golf cart was reported on fire in the Angels Creek Road area. Ebbetts Pass Fire Protection District responded.
