Sheriff's reports

FRIDAY

8:33 a.m., Sonora area — An employee at a business on the 13800 block of Mono Way said someone had not returned rental equipment.

10:37 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — An employee at Mi-Wuk Trader said jewelry was stolen from the business on the 24400 block of Highway 108.

10:41 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 16200 block of Jacksonville Road said she lost a cellular phone.

11:04 a.m., Tuolumne — A water company employee said he found an artillery shell near a machine shop on the 17800 block of Tuolumne Road.

12:30 p.m., Jamestown — A man on Jacksonville Road said he lost his .22-caliber gun.

1:21 p.m., Tuolumne area — Someone told a deputy that a man who had been drinking in the Murphy Ranch area had a weapon.

2:10 p.m., Tuolumne area —A man said another man with long black hair and a big cigar twice tried to run him off the road.

3:07 p.m., Jamestown area — A man said another man who might have been drunk was hanging around storage units near a business on the 18500 block of Highway 108.

4 p.m., Twain Harte — A man said he saw a "suspicious" green car with four teen-agers on Lakeview Drive.

4:31 p.m., Twain Harte — A resident on Thunderbolt Drive requested extra patrol He said a man has been sleeping in a pickup in the area.

4:55 p.m., Soulsbyville — A man on the 21100 block of Pokie Drive said his intoxicated neighbor tried to hit him with his truck.

4:58 p.m., Columbia — A woman on the 11000 block of State Street said a man who she said had been drinking was banging on her door. She said he does this every day. A deputy told the man not to return to the woman's apartment.

5:47 p.m., Columbia — A man said he found a woman stranded with her car alongside Big Hill Road. She told the man she was waiting for friends to come help her.

5:57 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman on the 22900 block of Twain Harte Drive said her vehicle was vandalized sometime Thursday night while it was parked in front of her house. A tire and fog light were damaged.

6:08 p.m., La Grange — A man on the 2800 block of Merced Falls Road said someone broke into his house while he was at work and stole a rifle, computer, welder and other items.

8:11 p.m., Sonora area — A man who appeared to be almost unconscious was spotted behind a business on the 14400 block of Tuolumne Road.

8:22 p.m., Sonora area — An anonymous caller said a 10-year-old girl on the 10700 block of Wigwam Road was riding her bike around the neighborhood unsupervised.

10:29 p.m., Sonora area — A man was cited for alleged possession of less than an ounce of marijuana after a woman on the 20200 block of Sparrow Lane reported he left in her pickup and might have been under the influence of drugs.

SATURDAY

12:49 a.m., Sierra Village — A resident on the 21100 block of Lodestone Avenue said he saw someone outside his house. A sensor light came on and a car alarm was sounding. The man said he saw a pickup leave the area. The man said the person looked like he or she was holding a "shotgun or something similar."

1:53 a.m., Sierra Village — The same resident said he and his 16-year-old brother heard a loud thump and then heard footsteps on their deck. They noticed a door was open and a lock had been shattered.

7:19 a.m., Jamestown — A Preston Lane woman said a man is crawling on the sidewalk.

9:39 a.m., Columbia area — A man on Union Hill Road said someone is living at a camp near his house. He said he is concerned since the man has a fire.

9:44 a.m., Sonora area — A man on North Cedar Road said someone damaged two windows on his car.

11:30 a.m., La Grange — A Merced California Highway Patrol officer said someone drove a car through a fence and took an impounded vehicle from a business on the 3400 block of Merced Falls Road.

11:55 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A woman on the 20600 block of Chief Fuller Way said children have been vandalizing her trees.

1:17 p.m., East Sonora — An employee at McDonald's reported vandalism to a restroom at the restaurant on the 13700 block of Highway 108.

2:09 p.m., Crystal Falls — A man on the 22500 block of Colorado River Drive said a youth has been harassing his son.

2:27 p.m., Sonora area — An employee at Sonora Mini Mart said someone passed a counterfeit $1 bill.

2:23 p.m., Phoenix Lake area — A man on the 20400 block of Midland Drive said his neighbor is shooting a gun. He said it is an ongoing problem.

4:13 p.m., East Sonora — A woman said she saw a man hitting a woman in a black car that turned into The Junction shopping center.

4:33 p.m., Groveland area — California Highway Patrol officers were told a man who looked "spaced out" was sitting with his feet on the fog line on Old Priest Grade.

4:55 p.m., Twain Harte — An employee at Twain Harte Market said he had a youth detained for suspected shoplifting.

8:18 p.m., Big Oak Flat — A deputy was called to a house on Black Road for some type of disturbance.

10:47 p.m., Soulsbyville — A resident on Willow Springs Drive said a suspicious man wearing a white football jersey was hanging around the house. The caller said the man hid when the caller drove by. And the man was seen walking around the house.

SUNDAY

12:05 a.m., Soulsbyville — An anonymous caller said an intoxicated man was staggering across Highway 108 to the median.

1:11 a.m., Jamestown — An intoxicated man fell and hit his head at a bar on the 18200 block of Highway 108, and was lying in a pool of blood. An ambulance responded, but the man was taken to a Sonora hospital by his girlfriend.

9:21 a.m., Cedar Ridge — A man on the 16900 block of Broken Pine Road said mailboxes belonging to him and his neighbors have been moved. He said there are four other mailboxes that don't belong in the area.

11:21 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A boy on the 20600 block of Chief Fuller Way called 911 and said a girl threw a phone at him then left the house. Another girl then told a dispatcher that her sister had called concerned about damaging stitches to her injured foot.

11:47 a.m., East Sonora — Undisclosed suspicious circumstances were reported at a business on Hillsdale Drive.

12:29 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A woman on the 20600 block of Chief Fuller Way said a girl is being chased by an older boy and both are "yelling and screaming."

12:45 p.m., Columbia area — An anonymous woman said she believes three men with two trucks were cutting down trees on county right of way on Yankee Hill Road.

4:32 p.m., Ponderosa Hills — A woman on the 20500 block of Canyonview Drive said a window in the front door of a neighbor's house was broken.

8:50 p.m., Cold Springs — A man on the 26500 block of Old Mono Road said his roommate was under the influence of a drug, and was fighting.

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

6:04 a.m., Sonora — Christopher Todd Martinez, 33, and Katie Jill Tompkinson, 39, no address given, booked on out-of-county warrants charging them with possessing a controlled substance for the purposes of manufacturing methamphetamine, possessing ephedrine, manufacturing methamphetamine and possessing burglary tools.

They were arrested in a parking lot at Sonora Crossroads shopping center parking lot by Sonora Police officers.

They remained in custody this morning in lieu of $920,000 bail each.

4:14 p.m., Tuolumne area — Rhett Schuller, 31, 700 block of East Oakside Drive, Sonora, booked on suspicion of possessing a short-barrel shotgun after an arrest on a Forest Service road near Basin Creek.

According to a sheriff's department report, Schuller stopped a couple walking along the road and made threatening comments. The couple flagged down a passing deputy, who found Schuller nearby in a field. A weapon was found in the front seat of his car.

Schuller was released after posting $15,000 bail.

SATURDAY

7:38 a.m., Sonora — Cynthia Elizabeth Dewitt, 44, no address listed, and Roger William Bass, 40, undisclosed address on Highway 108, Sonora. Dewitt was booked on a charge of being a parolee at large and Bass was booked on a Calaveras County warrant charging him with felony spousal battery. Both were arrested at Cabezut and Greenley roads, Sonora, by Sonora police.

Dewitt is held without bail and Bass remained in custody this morning in lieu of $50,000 bail.

2 p.m., Tuolumne — Carl Sandy Boyette, 51, 18100 block of Gardner Avenue, Tuolumne booked on suspicion of making criminal threats after an arrest at his home. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Monique Yvonne Jouvard, 47, 14400 block of Bluebell West, Sonora booked at 2:12 a.m. Saturday after arrest on Sanguinetti Road near Mono Way.

Ted Dawal Harwell, 62, 19500 block of Ferretti Road, Groveland, booked at 7:18 p.m. Saturday after arrest on Highway 120 at Highway 49, Moccasin.

Grant Guy Young, 41, 16900 block of Columbia River Drive, Sonora, booked at 7:39 p.m. Saturday after arrest on Algerine Road at Lime Kiln Road.

Jack Russell Barlow, 40, 3400 block of Alisa Court, Modesto, booked at 12:15 a.m. today after arrest on Twain Harte Drive east of Manzanita Drive, Twain Harte.

1:51 a.m., suspicious circumstances — An officer checked on a vehicle on Lime Kiln Road.

2:58 a.m., suspicious circumstances — An officer checked on an unoccupied vehicle on Stockton Road.

5:28 a.m., warrant arrest — A man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant after a traffic stop on Mono Way.

11:31 a.m., illegal dumping — A woman said someone was dumping trash illegally on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road.

1:52 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury crash was reported on the 400 block of Highway 49.

2:30 p.m., agency assist — An employee at a Sonora hospital said he or she needed help with a patient who was out of control.

3:22 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury crash was reported on North Washington Street.

4:27 p.m., citizen assist — An unknown 911 caller said he or she needed to speak to a sheriff's deputy about vandalism in Columbia.

8:50 p.m., suspicious circumstances — An officer spoke with a man behind a business on Morning Star Drive.

10:55 p.m., public intoxication — A 70-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 600 block of South Washington Street.

FRIDAY

8:58 a.m., found property — Someone found $50 cash inside a business on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

9:10 a.m., found property — Someone found $203 cash at a business on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

10:21 a.m., fraudulent activity — A woman at a business on the 200 block of South Washington Street said someone stole a check from a mailbox.

10:49 a.m., theft — A man said someone stole $350 cash from a fanny pack on Dec. 5 at a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

11:58 a.m., controlled substance — A Sonora High School student was cited for suspected possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

3:50 p.m., traffic accident — A woman on the 50 block of Elkin Street reported a crash that occurred Thursday on Elkin Street.

SATURDAY

3:13 a.m., suspicious circumstances — An employee at The Beacon gas station on the 300 block of South Washington Street said four people in a blue four-door car were trying to steal alcohol. He said the group was changing clothes and then coming back into the store.

12:29 p.m., suspicious circumstances — An officer spoke with someone sleeping on the sidewalk on South Stewart Street.

2:06 p.m., accidental stabbing — An officer spoke with a boy at a Sonora hospital who said he was accidentally stabbed in the leg with a dagger.

4:01 p.m., vandalism — A woman on North Arbona Circle said someone threw a pumpkin at her mailbox Friday night.

4:48 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury crash involving a deer was reported on South Nevada Street.

6:31 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury crash was reported on Greenley Road.

7:03 p.m., threats — A woman on the 80 block of North Washington Street called 911 and said she was receiving threats over not paying for drugs.

7:27 p.m., skateboarders — A group of skateboarders were seen in the parking lot of a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center.

7:30 p.m., Phoenix Lake Estates area — A flue fire was reported on the 21800 block of Paseo de Los Portales. No dollar damage was reported. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.

9:30 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A generator was reported stolen from the 9800 block of Sun Road.

10:38 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — A caller reported checks were stolen from a house on the 7000 block of Howard Lane.

11:11 p.m., San Andreas — A woman who was sleeping in the emergency room at Mark Twain St. Joseph's hospital was awakened, but refused to leave.

SATURDAY

2:25 a.m., Valley Springs — A caller said a man wearing a visor and light-colored clothing was sitting in front of a gasoline station on Highway 12 drinking alcohol.

9:48 a.m., Wallace — A business, The Fifth Wheel on the 8200 block of Camanche Parkway, was reported burglarized.

3:42 p.m., Valley Springs — A man napping by the side of Highway 12 was asked to move to a safer location.

10:31 p.m., Wilseyville — A caller said two suspicious-looking men were seen prowling around a house on the 3900 block of Blue Mountain Road.

12:43 a.m., Murphys — A caller said a man refused to leave Murphys Hotel bar when asked to do so.

8:27 a.m., Glencoe — A house on the 100 block of Deardorff Road was reported burglarized.

9:19 a.m., Hathaway Pines — A caller said there was an attempted break-in at a house on the 5100 block of Hillcrest Drive.

2 p.m., San Andreas — Teresa Marie Jose, 36, 41200 block of Norman Court, Fremont, booked on suspicion of second-degree burglary after an arrest at Jackpot Food Mart on the 400 block of West St. Charles Street, San Andreas. She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.

6:25 p.m., Arnold — Bret Lee Snider, 33, 1900 block of Rawhide Road, Arnold, booked on Calaveras County warrants charging him with vehicle theft, receiving stolen property, being a felon possessing a firearm, conspiracy to commit a crime and evading a peace officer. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $40,000 bail.

8:32 p.m., Arnold area — Joshua Mark O'Connell, 21, 1600 block of Lakeshore Drive, Lodi, booked on suspicion of vehicle theft and receiving stolen property after arrest on a Forest Service road near Arnold. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $30,000 bail.

10:15 a.m., San Andreas — A 47-year-old San Andreas man booked on suspicion of felony spousal battery and making criminal threats after an arrest at his home. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $25,000 bail.

11:32 a.m., Murphys — Tina Nadine House, 33, 2900 block of Murphys Grade Road, Murphys booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after arrest at her house. She remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.

10:30 p.m., Angels Camp — Lowell Obra Freeman, 34, booked on suspicion of vehicle theft, and the misdemeanor charges of suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, driving on a suspended license and giving false information to a peace officer. He remains in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.

10:59 p.m., San Andreas — David Duane Williams, 31, 1300 block of Wells Fargo Road, Rail Road Flat, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after arrest on Mills and Mountain Ranch roads, San Andreas. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.

TODAY

1:15 a.m., Copperopolis — Darren Gene Dolbeare, 34, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after an arrest on Highway 4 at Hunt Road. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.
