Sheriff's reports

MONDAY

8:40 a.m., Groveland — A man said 20 to 25 sheets of house siding were stolen from a construction site on Mueller Drive near Ferretti Road.

8:51 a.m., East Sonora — A caller said a woman was causing a disturbance and refused to leave Forest View Senior Housing on the 19400 block of Hess Avenue.

10:06 a.m., Standard area — A man on the 14100 block of Tuolumne Road said his wife's prescription pain pills were missing.

10:33 a.m., Columbia — A caller said a white motorhome was parked on the side of Quail Mine Road near Big Hill Road with someone living in it. The caller said this is an ongoing problem.

10:56 a.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 18700 block of Columbia Drive said his garage was burglarized.

11:36 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 7700 block of Woods Way said dishes were stolen on Thanksgiving.

2:14 p.m., Soulsbyville — A Soulsbyville Elementary School employee said a woman was trying to take her son out of school in violation of a temporary restraining order the boy's father has against the woman.

4:21 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A caller said three men were standing in a circle holding hands at the base of a Mi-Wuk Village sign on Highway 108 at Chief Fuller Way. The caller said the men put something white at the base of the sign.

4:31 p.m., Standard area — A man said an employee he terminated last week just drove by the business on the 18900 block of Industry Way.

10:32 p.m., Columbia — A caller said six unknown people were walking around a green and white motorhome parked behind an apartment complex on State Street. The caller suspected drug activity.

MONDAY

11:27 p.m., Sonora — Patrick Edward Downer, 35, no address given, San Andreas, and Lisa Marie Krisman, 20700 block of Warner Road, Pine Grove, both booked on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and substances with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine and methamphetamine manufacturing after an arrest on North Washington Street at Elkin Street, Sonora.

According to a Sonora police report, Officer Jeff Aitken stopped a car Downer was driving for a traffic violation. Downer was driving on a suspended license and had outstanding warrants for his arrest from Calaveras County.

Aitken questioned Krisman and asked to search her purse, where Aitken found one gram of methamphetamine. Because both were arrested, Aitken searched the car and found chemicals and items Downer and Krisman had just purchased from a store in Sonora. The items, including lye, 10,000 matches, alcohol and lighter fluid, can be used to manufacture methamphetamine.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department narcotics team helped with the arrest.

Downer remained held this morning in lieu of $265,000 bail. Krisman was held in lieu of $200,000 bail.

Maria Irma Chavez-Mejia, 35, 21400 block of Madre Drive, Sonora, booked at 2:55 p.m. yesterday after arrest on Paseo de los Robles at Phoenix Lake Road, Phoenix Lake area.

MONDAY

6:39 a.m., hazardous situation — The driver of a pickup truck stalled in the east-bound lane of Mono Way at Barretta Street was assisted in moving his truck.

10:43 a.m., found property — A customer found a wallet at Sonora Express Mart on Pesce Way and turned it over to a store clerk. The clerk asked an officer to pick it up.

10:54 a.m., traffic violation — A 41-year-old man was cited and released on suspicion of driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on East Church Street at South Stewart Street.

11:03 a.m., theft — A generator was stolen from a house being remodeled on the 10 block of Saratoga Road.

12:24 p.m., burglary — A man on the 300 block of North Washington Street said money was stolen from his apartment.

12:44 p.m., found property — A caller found a black bicycle with heavy-duty tires on Stockton Road at Ponderosa Drive.

4:11 p.m., burglary — A caller said a vehicle was broken into while it was parked on Snell Street.

4:25 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman on the 300 block of Saratoga Road said a window pane was broken at her house, apparently when someone tried to get inside the house.

4:42 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said a man wearing a Cowboys jacket was looking into mailboxes on Alpine Lane.

MONDAY

7:44 a.m., Murphys — A soda machine at a mechanic's shop was vandalized.

10:27 a.m., Valley Springs — A church window was broken on the 100 block of Laurel Street.

11:56 a.m., Murphys — The restroom walls were vandalized at the Masonic temple on the 300 block of Church Street.

6:33 p.m., Valley Springs — Several people on Anderson and West Hill roads said they saw a black-and-white cow and a dark-colored goat hanging out at a stop sign. A neighbor fenced in the animals on his property.

MONDAY

9:10 p.m., Jenny Lind — Jennifer Reanna Theis, 24, 9000 block of Oak Glen Road, Valley Springs, booked on suspicion of possessing and using a controlled substance after arrest at the intersection of Main Street and Milton Road in Valley Springs. She was released Tuesday after posting $25,000 bail.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Charley Dean Ortega, 44, 5000 block of East Carpenter Road, Stockton, booked at 8:45 p.m. after arrest at the intersection of Little John Road and Copper Cove Drive.
