The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


4:23 a.m., Jamestown — 50 goats were in the road on the 12800 block of Algerine Road.

8:27 a.m., Jamestown — Someone on the 19400 block of Rawhide Road said their mail was stolen and that their neighbor found part of it in a nearby field.

9:56 a.m., Columbia — Someone on the 22800 block of Four Wheel Drive went to the emergency room after being assaulted.

12:02 p.m., Jamestown — Coin machines were vandalized at a car wash on the 18400 block of Jamestown Road.

12:16 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said three dogs were loose near French Flat and Rawhide roads in Jamestown. She said one of the dogs bit her son.

5 p.m., Sonora — Two callers reported a strong smell of propane near Hess Avenue and Mono Way in Sonora.

11:32 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman on the 18500 block of Carter Street said she had slit her boyfriend’s throat and that he was bleeding “really bad.” 


8:04 a.m., Tuolumne — A window was broken at a closed business on the 18300 block of Tuolumne Road.

9:27 a.m., Phoenix Lake — A burglary attempt was made on a vacant house on the 20400 block of Phoenix Lake Road.

12:21 p.m., Twain Harte — A burglary attempt was made at a house on the 18900 Sequoia Drive. 

6:38 p.m., Don Pedro — Someone fired a shotgun from their vehicle while driving on on Bonds Flat Road near Highway 132.


5:27 a.m., Jamestown — Two people were seen carrying milk jugs and syphoning gas from vehicles on the 18200 block of Highway 108.

Felony bookings


12:10 a.m., Columbia — Stanley Joe Killion, 75, of the 14200 block of Northridge Road, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest at his home.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


3:52 a.m., Sonora area — Kayla Diane Brawley, 26, of the 20900 block of Shaws Flat Road, was booked after an arrest on eastbound Highway 108.

3:54 a.m., Sonora area — William Rea Grieve, 25, of the 1400 block of Junewood Place, Manteca, was booked after an arrest on eastbound Highway 108.


No arrests

The Sonora Police Department reported:


7:17 p.m., theft — A woman walked out of a store on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road with groceries she did not pay for. Officers were unable to locate the woman.

8:32 a.m., reckless driving — A car collided with a hillside on its way from the Phoenix Lake to Mono Way in Sonora. 

9:50 a.m., disorderly conduct — A man and woman were arguing at Sonora Regional Medical Center.

3:29 p.m., theft — A woman stole a can of beer from the Save Mart on Stockton Road.

14:16 p.m., theft — A woman stole a demo cell phone from the AT&T on Old Wards Ferry Road. She later came in to get service for the phone but was refused.


7:23 p.m., reckless driving — A car went through a stoplight and over double yellow lines on Greenley Road.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


11:26 a.m., Valley Springs — A vehicle was vandalized on O’Reilly Street.

8:19 p.m., Arnold — A battery occurred on Pine Drive.


3:56 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone in a blue-and-black hooded sweatshirt was throwing rocks at cars and a house on Hagen Road.

Felony bookings


9:50 p.m., Angels Camp — Kerry Carlton Atkins, 47, of the 600 block of Tuolumne Avenue, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and possession of drugs for sale after an arrest at his home. He was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

9:54 p.m., Angels Camp — Gina Rose Atkins, 35, of the 17000 block of Chicken Ranch Road in Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on the 600 block of Tuolumne Avenue.


9 a.m., Copperopolis — James Leroy Obird, 37, of the 4200 block of Stagecoach Road, was booked on suspicion of being a felon or addict in possession of a firearm after an arrest on the 5100 block of Little John Road. He was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor charges of obstructing a police officer.
