THURSDAY

8:19 a.m., East Sonora — A woman said a fence was damaged at the 13800 block of Mono Way.

10:06 a.m., Groveland — A caller said a man driving a black Toyota pickup had parked near a bank on the 18500 block of Main Street about 3 p.m. every day last week. The caller thought the man was watching people make bank deposits.

11:51 a.m., Don Pedro area — A man on the 30 block of Bonds Flat Road said an ignition switch on his vehicle was tampered with.

12:44 p.m., Don Pedro area — A man on the 13000 block of Molina Street said an ex-girlfriend who harassed him over the telephone was at his house banging on a door.

1:31 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 18200 block of Main Street found a man on the property early in the morning claiming to be working on a neighbor's roof, but the caller could not confirm that.

2:47 p.m., Jamestown — A business owner on Main Street requested extra patrol because he heard Oakdale businesses were being burglarized and he was worried the same thing might happen in Jamestown.

2:55 p.m., Long Barn — A woman on the 26000 block of Long Barn Court said people were parked in her driveway to play in the snow.

4:58 p.m., Jamestown — A caller heard three men and one woman arguing on the 10300 block of Preston Lane. The caller heard one man threaten to kill the other people in the group.

4:59 p.m., Willow Springs — A woman on the 20500 block of Charlotte Court said her teenage daughter kicked her in the chest.

8:47 p.m., Jamestown — A Hillcrest Manor employee said a medication cart was stolen out of the care home on the 18700 block of Chabroullian Lane and put it into a blue pickup with a blue camper shell. The cart was valued at $1,500, but the value of the medications had not yet been tallied.

FRIDAY

7:33 a.m., Sonora area — A man said someone broke into a locked shed on the 14800 block of Mono Way.

9:51 a.m., Crystal Falls — A man said someone stole two signs on Crystal Falls Drive.

10:44 a.m., Sonora area — A 32-year-old man was arrested on a warrant charging him with vehicle code violations.

10:57 a.m., Columbia — A man on the 22100 block of Columbia Crest Drive asked to speak with a sheriff's deputy regarding the theft of four tires and rims.

12:44 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 22900 block of South Fork Road said a former employee was using his name to charge unauthorized items.

4:04 p.m., Columbia — A man said he lost a Motorola cell phone on Main Street a day earlier.

5:49 p.m., Groveland — A woman said someone threw a balloon full of paint onto her vehicle while it was parked on Main Street.

7:02 p.m., Lake Tulloch area — A woman said a man was destroying her belongings and had punctured the tires on her vehicle on the 14400 block of Tulloch Dam Road.

8:32 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said a woman was walking up and down Ninth Avenue and acting strangely. A second caller said the woman was now breaking windows in her house.

SATURDAY

1:23 a.m., Sonora area — A woman said someone threw a rock through the window of her vehicle and took her purse from inside on the 18700 block of Highway 108.

5:31 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman said she saw a man dressed in black carrying tools who she suspected might have been burglarizing a neighbor's home on Golf Club Drive. She later found shears that she thought belonged to the man.

6:44 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman on the 22900 block of Placer Drive said she just heard someone throw a rock through her vehicle's window. Her purse was taken, she said.

11:31 a.m., Sunshine Camp — A woman on the 20200 block of Haystack Road reported mail theft. She said she was contacted by the Jackson Police Department and told that her mail is at the station.

12:03 p.m., East Sonora — A woman said two people were breaking into a recreational vehicle on the 20200 block of Covey Circle. The RV's owner was chasing them, the woman said.

12:27 p.m., Tuolumne — A man said a home on the 18800 block of Black Oak Road was burglarized. A stove was taken and someone put holes in the walls and tore the carpet.

3:31 p.m., Sonora area — A man said he found an envelope full of other people's mail on Murphy Road. He turned over the mail to the post office.

6:10 p.m., Columbia — A man on the 22800 block of Italian Bar Road said someone slashed the tires of his vehicle.

9:01 p.m., Sonora Meadows — A man said some people drove by and fired white paint balls at a street sign on Evergreen Way. There was no damage to his property, he said.

10:54 p.m., Jamestown — The CHP issued a be-on-the-lookout for a Ford F250 pickup stolen about an hour earlier in the area of Belle Moony Road and Highway 108.

10:56 p.m., Columbia — A caller said he was punched in the face while walking along Sawmill Flat Road. As he walked, a white van slowed down and someone asked him if he was OK. A man then got out of the van and again asked him if he was OK. As the caller walked around to the back of the van to look at the license plate, the man punched him in the face, got back in the van, and took off.

YESTERDAY

2:59 a.m., Sonora area — A caller at Sonora Community Hospital said a person in the emergency room was punched in the face at a business on the 14500 block of Tuolumne Road.

Felony bookings

THURSDAY

10 a.m., Jamestown — Harry Stephen McMasters, 52, 9800 block of Pulpit Rock Road, Jamestown, booked on suspicion of obtaining food stamps unlawfully, perjury and on an out-of-state-warrant for an undisclosed charge after an arrest at his home. He remained held this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail. No other details were available.

12:29 p.m., Sonora — Damen Michael Cleary, 19, 16900 block of Chicken Ranch Road, Jamestown, booked on suspicion of burglary, attempted theft, and possession of burglar tools, after an arrest on South Washington Street at Lytton Street, Sonora.

According to a police report, a man shoplifted Gentleman Jack whiskey from Save Mart on Stockton Road and fled. A short while later, a clerk at Gold Country Gas on the 300 block of South Washington Street said a man stole an 18-pack of Budweiser from the convenience store, and fled.

An officer saw Cleary walking on South Washington Street near Lytton Street and he matched the description of the shoplifter. When the officer stopped Cleary, he had liquor in his possession.

Cleary remained held this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.

5:43 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — Bridget Ann Brennan, 25, 20600 block of Chief Fuller Road, Mi-Wuk Village, booked on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sale, child endangerment and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest at her home.

Sgt. Jim Mele, who heads Tuolumne Sheriff's Department Narcotics Team, said investigators got a search warrant to check Brennan's home because they suspected she was selling meth. A drug-sniffing dog from California Highway Patrol in Modesto was brought in to help search. The dog found 1/2 ounce of meth split into two large and four small baggies. Investigators also found scales and more packaging material.

The drugs were accessible to three small children at the home, Mele said.

She was released Friday after posting $15,000 bail.

9:35 p.m., Sonora — Derrick Lucio Franco, 24, 500 block of Orchard Avenue, Sonora, booked on suspicion of receiving stolen property after an arrest on the 700 block of East Mono Way.

According to a Sonora police report, an officer saw Franco carrying a stop sign. When the officer tried to question Franco about the stop sign, Franco ran. After an officer caught up with him, Franco said he was leaning against the stop sign and it fell over so he took it. Franco would not say where he was when the stop sign fell over.

He remained held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

10:25 p.m., Sonora — A man and woman, both 46, of the 1400 block of Shaws Flat Road, Sonora, were each both booked on felony spousal battery. The woman was also booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. According to a Sonora police report, the man and woman were arguing and a neighbor called 911. The man told an officer that the woman threw a 12-by-12 inch concrete cinder block at him. Neither was taken to the hospital. Both remained held this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail.

FRIDAY

1:06 a.m., Standard area — Loren Bruce Pearce, 37, 600 block of 15th Street, Modesto, and Mark Christian Wolford, 32, 500 block of East Morris Street, Modesto, both booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance for sale and misdemeanor possession of burglary tools after an arrest on Tuolumne Road at Striker Court. Pearce was also booked on a felony parole hold.

No details were available. Pearce was held without bail this morning. Wolford was held in lieu of $20,000 bail this morning.

3:56 a.m., Tuolumne — Brandon Jacob Avilla, 18, 24800 block of Highway 108, Mi-Wuk Village, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and possessing a controlled substance for sale after an arrest on North Tuolumne Road at Buchanan Road. No details were available. He remained held this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.

THURSDAY

4:04 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said a man walked behind a wall at a building on Lower Sunset. The caller then heard a bang and saw the man duck behind a car.

4:27 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A clerk at the Beacon gasoline station on South Washington Street said a woman with long red hair stole two packs of cigarettes from the store.

8:29 a.m., traffic accident — No one was injured in a collision on the 1100 block of Mono Way.

2:50 p.m., theft — A caller said car speakers and amplifiers were stolen from a vehicle parked on the 300 block of East Jackson Street.

2:56 p.m., animal complaints — A caller said two dogs were chasing cars on Morning Star Court.

3:41 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller saw a runaway teen wearing a red sweater and red hat on South Washington Street, but the teen left before an officer arrived.

8:24 p.m., traffic accident — A woman said the driver of a red Toyota pickup hit her car and drove off without stopping. The accident happened on Stockton Road.

FRIDAY

2:33 a.m., theft — Three people left Denny's Restaurant on the 1000 block of Mono Way without paying.

9:47 a.m., property damage — Police received a report of graffiti on the back of a building facing South Stewart Street.

10:35 a.m., hazardous situation — A caller said a disabled vehicle was blocking westbound Mono Way at Greenley Road.

11:31 a.m., hazardous situation — A vehicle was leaking gas in a parking lot on the 600 block of South Washington Street.

12:22 p.m., theft — A customer at Jenkins Discount on the 1200 block of Mono Way said three teenage boys stole a blanket.

4:12 p.m., property damage — A caller said some kids defaced public property on North Washington Street and a man was chasing them. An officer learned that the kids had written in newly poured cement.

10:09 p.m., suspicious circumstance — A caller said there was an unknown man sitting on the back deck of his parent's Elk Drive home.

SATURDAY

1:05 a.m., public intoxication — A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 600 block of Shaws Flat Road.

1:28 p.m., property damage — A caller said two people threw paint onto the side of a building on the 800 block of Sanguinetti Road.

They were last seen running on the train tracks toward Jamestown.

2:28 p.m., property damage — A man on the 300 block of Elk Drive said his mailbox was damaged during the night.

2:41 p.m., theft — A woman said her purse was taken out of her shopping cart at a business on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road.

10:31 p.m., warrant arrest — Police arrested a runaway boy on Mono Way on a misdemeanor warrant.

YESTERDAY

1:51 a.m., warrant arrest — Police arrested a 32-year-old man on a misdemeanor warrant on Linoberg Street as South Green Street.

7:16 a.m., Arnold — A caller on the 2000 block of Stephanie Drive said a power pole was tilted and the power lines were hanging low.

10:27 a.m., Valley Springs — A house on the 8000 block of Watts Drive was broken into.

1:54 p.m., Vallecito — A caller on the 4000 block of Main Street found a child's bicycle in his or her driveway. The caller decided to keep the bike in hopes its owner will come for it.

2:32 p.m., Jenny Lind — A child came onto a school campus on the 11000 block of School Street to confront "two rival gang members."

2:36 p.m., Copperopolis — A motorhome was keyed on the 3000 block of Spangler Lane.

3:06 p.m., Valley Springs — Fuel was stolen from a gas station near the La Contenta subdivision.

7:13 p.m., Glencoe — A caller on the 2000 block of Dorray Road reported a mudslide on Highway 26.

8:29 p.m., Mountain Ranch — A man was seen breaking lights at Senders Market.

5:24 p.m., Rail Road Flat — A caller on the first block of Ridge Road said someone vandalized holiday decorations.

SATURDAY

8:01 a.m., Jenny Lind — A woman on Gabor Street said she corralled a stray horse on her property.

9:10 a.m., San Andreas — A man on the 1100 block of Highway 49 said a neighbor's horse was eating his hedge. The last time that happened, he said, a horse died and he was accused of poisoning it.

10:58 a.m., San Andreas — A bus broke down in the road on Highway 49 near Fricot City Road.

10:58 a.m., Arnold — A caller said someone broke into coin boxes at a business on the 2300 block of Fir Drive.

6:24 p.m., Copper Cove — A caller reported a fight between two women on the 1000 block of Feather Court.

THURSDAY

11:08 a.m., San Andreas — Jeff Charles Berger, 29, South Cherokee Lane, Lodi, booked on outstanding warrants for possessing a controlled substance and controlled substance paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and possessing a switch-blade knife after he turned himself in at the Calaveras County Sheriff's Department. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Cited for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

Scott Edward Grutzmacher, 40, 200 block of Pixley Avenue, San Andreas, booked at 8:35 p.m. Saturday after arrest at Highway 49 and Gold Strike Road in San Andreas.

Fire

SUNDAY

10:45 a.m., San Andreas area — A fire was reported in a water heater closet on the 400 block of Marshall Avenue. No damage was reported. Property owner is undetermined. San Andreas Fire Protection District, Central Fire Protection District, Mokelumne Hill Fire Protection District, Altaville-Melones Fire Protection District and Jenny Lind Fire Protection District responded.
