Sheriff's reports

THURSDAY

8:25 a.m., Jamestown — A caller said a cell phone, change and cigarettes were stolen overnight from his girlfriend's unlocked vehicle on the 10700 block of Wigwam Road.

9:08 a.m., Phoenix Lake area — A caller driving on the 20500 block of Lori Lane said she saw a robed man hitting a teenage boy.

9:19 a.m., Columbia — A man on the 23400 block of Woods Creek Way said a toolbox was stolen from under his deck.

11:28 a.m., Groveland — A caller on the 12900 block of Mueller Drive said his daughter ran away sometime in the night. Although he didn't think she was in danger, he wanted Mariposa police to be on the lookout for her and the three boys with whom she left.

1:19 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 18700 block of Highway 108 said his cellular phone was stolen from his vehicle.

1:34 p.m., Groveland — A caller driving on Ferretti Road said someone he knew threw a rock through his windshield after threatening to kill him.

4:30 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman calling on the 22700 block of Confidence Road said a flower pot on her front porch was damaged by pellets from a gun.

7:01 p.m., Twain Harte — A caller on the 23000 block of Fuller Road said a woman was "denting, scratching and tearing up" her car parked in front of the post office.

10:37 p.m., Columbia — A landlord on the 22400 block of Airport Road said she was trying to serve an eviction notice to two people living in her barn. They pushed her and threatened to burn down the barn.

FRIDAY

3:09 a.m., Twain Harte — A caller on the 16100 block of Big Hill Road said someone broke into his house and was in his bedroom, where the caller kept swords and daggers.

6:50 a.m., Sonora area — A man said someone broke into his car while it was parked on the 19500 block of Hess Avenue. Less than $5 in loose change was taken and the car was not damaged, he said.

7:23 a.m., Sonora area — A woman said someone opened the two passenger doors of her vehicle on the 19400 block of Hess Avenue.

7:28 a.m., Sonora area — A man on the 22000 block of Feather River Drive said someone broke a window on his vehicle.

8:16 a.m., Sonora area — A man said he lost his wallet, possibly while he was in The Junction shopping center.

8:18 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman on the 22400 block of Ponderosa Drive said things were taken from an unlocked vehicle.

8:25 a.m., Sonora area — A man said someone took a Game Boy from his vehicle parked on the 19500 block of Hess Avenue. The vehicle wasn't damaged, but the front passenger door was left slightly ajar.

9:34 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said someone took CDs from her vehicle on the 19500 block of Hess Avenue.

11:21 a.m., Pinecrest — A woman said someone took an antique light, valued at $500, from a cabin on the 200 block of Lodge Pole Avenue.

11:26 a.m., Sonora area — A caller said someone took his wallet from his vehicle on the 22200 block of Crystal Falls Court. A man found the caller's credit cards on Feather River Drive and gave them back. However his Social Security card and driver's license were not found, the caller said.

12:13 p.m., Groveland — A man on the 20400 block of Old Highway 120 said someone vandalized his motor home.

12:30 p.m., Groveland — A woman said someone broke into her vacation home on the 12800 block of Mueller Drive. Several items were taken, including a phone.

2:09 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said some kids built a tree house near Shaws Flat School using wood that belonged to her.

4:34 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said two paintings were stolen from outside a building on the 18200 block of Main Street. A planter was also taken, she said.

7:20 p.m., Jamestown — A man said someone burglarized a home on the 11000 block of Golf Links Road.

SATURDAY

7:59 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 17900 block of Seco Street said someone slashed and spray painted two tires on her vehicle.

8:22 a.m., Sonora area — A man on the 11700 block of Essen Lane said someone keyed his vehicle.

11:13 a.m., Sonora — A man came to the sheriff's office to report finding mail in an illegal trash dump on Columbia Way.

1:16 p.m., Jamestown — A man said someone burglarized a storage shed off the 18200 block of Main Street.

2:03 p.m., Sonora area — A man said three or four girls were drinking alcohol in a Jeep in front of a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

3:18 p.m., Jamestown — A man said someone broke into his house on the 18100 block of Main Street. To gain entry, the person kicked out a panel in the front door.

8:28 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said someone broke into the office of a mobile home park on the 18700 of Highway 108.

11:06 p.m., Tuolumne — An employee at a business on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road said someone used a $100 counterfeit bill.

11:28 p.m., La Grange — A woman said she saw a man standing on the dam on Bonds Flat Road filming something. She thought it was suspicious because it was getting dark and there was nothing to see.

SUNDAY

1:41 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 17600 block of Twin Oak Drive said she heard a strange noise. Her neighbors reported hearing someone pounding on their door and then a car driving away.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

Noon, Sonora — Patricia Sue Bingham-Medler, 41, 18500 block of Woolworth Avenue, Tuolumne, booked on Tuolumne County warrants charging her with burglary, passing worthless checks and failing to appear in court. She turned herself in at the sheriff's department and remained held this morning without bail.

6:16 p.m., Jamestown — Jesus Roman-Cida, 34, undisclosed address on Lyons Bald Mountain Road, Sonora, booked on suspicion of being in the United States illegally after an arrest on Main Street at Highway 108.

He was picked up by Immigration and Naturalization officials Friday.

8:03 p.m., Jamestown — Tony David Kassay, 24, 21300 block of North Tuolumne Road, Twain Harte, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after arrest on an undisclosed address on Reservoir Road.

A sheriff's report said a deputy stopped Kassay for a traffic violation and during a search, the deputy found a glass smoking pipe in Kassay's front shirt pocket and a vial containing methamphetamine in a pocket of Kassay's pants.

Kassay was released Thursday after posting $10,000 bail.

THURSDAY

1:06 a.m., Twain Harte — Michael Christopher Leveross, 50, 18400 block of Pine Street, Tuolumne, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and being an unlicensed driver after an arrest on North Tuolumne Road at East Road, Twain Harte.

A sheriff's report said a deputy stopped Leveross for a traffic violation and during a search the deputy found .18 grams of methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe.

Leveross remained held this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Lacy Johelen Hackler, 21, 16400 block of Creekside Drive, Sonora Meadows, booked at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday after arrest on Main Street at Maple Street, Tuolumne.

Teresa Lavern McMahon, 19, 10300 block of Preston Lane, Jamestown, booked at 1 a.m. Thursday after arrest on Highway 108 at Golf Links Drive, Jamestown.

THURSDAY

11:30 a.m., Columbia area — An escaped debris burn was reported on the 22400 block of South Airport Road. No damage was reported. David Glenos of the same address owns the land. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, Tuolumne County Fire Department and Columbia Fire Protection District responded.

SUNDAY

5:15 p.m., Jamestown area — An escaped debris burn was reported on the 17100 block of Chicken Ranch Road. No damage was reported. CDF, Tuolumne County Fire Department and Jamestown Fire Protection District responded.

THURSDAY

1:24 p.m., warrant arrest — A 28-year-old woman was arrested near the intersection of Morning Star Drive and Cemetery Lane on a warrant charging her with failing to appear in court.

11:49 p.m., public intoxication — A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion on public intoxication on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

FRIDAY

2:03 p.m., suspicious circumstance — A caller said an RV parked on Gold Street at South Sheppard Street had been running a generator for three days.

2:29 p.m., theft — A caller said someone shoplifted at Sonora Video and Electronics on the 700 block of Mono Way.

4 p.m., theft — A person was cited on suspicion of theft at Benjamin Fig on the first block of South Washington Street.

6:03 p.m., suspicious circumstance — A caller said people were throwing things from a parking structure on North Washington Street.

7:11 p.m., theft — A woman said someone stole her wallet out of her purse while she was watching the Christmas parade on South Washington Street.

7:31 p.m., public intoxication — A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the first block of South Washington Street.

10:36 p.m., public intoxication — A 21-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on South Washington Street.

SATURDAY

12:18 a.m., lost property — A person reported a lost or stolen cell phone on South Stewart Street.

3:07 a.m., public intoxication — A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

10:41 a.m., unclassified — A caller said a man was exposing himself at a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

10:43 a.m., hazardous situation — A caller said drivers on South Washington Street were having to swerve to avoid plastic garbage in the road.

11:17 a.m., found property — A person turned in a sign that had been ripped off a pole in the Bank of America parking lot.

3:47 p.m., warrant arrest — A 19-year-old woman was arrested on a misdemeanor Tuolumne County warrant on the 100 block of South Green Street.

8:11 p.m., public intoxication — A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and resisting a police officer on the 200 block of North Washington Street.

10:35 p.m., traffic violation — Security at a store on Sanguinetti Road said a black Mitsubishi was speeding through the parking lot without its lights on.

11:52 p.m., public intoxication — A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication, urinating in public and on a Tuolumne County warrant.

SUNDAY

12:42 a.m., public intoxication — A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on South Stewart Street.

12:57 a.m., public intoxication — A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Snell Street at North Washington Street.

8:12 a.m., Wallace — A caller said an abandoned vehicle was set on fire on the 11100 block of Gregory Road.

1:45 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller said a group in a boat was stranded on Hogan Lake. Rangers were going to tow the group in.

6:54 p.m., Burson — A caller on the 2700 block of East Highway 12 said someone took checks from the bottom of a check book.

8:22 p.m., Glencoe — A caller on the 15700 block of Highway 26 said someone shot a paintball at a window.

10:03 p.m., Angels Camp area — A caller on the 200 block of El Dorado Court reported seeing lights on in a house under construction.

SATURDAY

10:42 a.m., Murphys —A broken water line was causing flooding on the 600 block of Algiers Road.

5:59 p.m., Jenny Lind — A woman said two men came into her house on the 15200 block of Langford Pacheo, hit her and took her jewelry.

11:51 p.m., Arnold — A woman on the 1700 block of Maple Street said her father was attacked by a man who came to the front door. She did not know who the attacker was.

SUNDAY

1:05 a.m., Murphys — A bartender on the 400 block of Main Street told a deputy that kids were throwing water balloons containing a white substance, possibly paint.

Fires

WEDNESDAY

2:50 p.m., San Andreas — An escaped debris burn was reported on the 1800 block of Windmill Circle. No damage was reported. Kenneth Airola of the same address owns the land. San Andreas Fire Protection District responded.

THURSDAY

10:45 a.m., San Andreas — A small fire was reported in a gasoline storage tank at Arts Auto on the 80 block of West St. Charles Street. The flames were quelled with a fire extinguisher. The gas tank's liner was damaged. San Andreas Fire Protection District, Mokelumne Hill Fire Protection District and Calaveras County Department of Environmental Health responded.
