TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY
    9:32 a.m., Soulsbyville — A woman on 19400 block of Soulsbyville Road said she was scammed and defrauded. She said an aggressive salesman called her and was selling computer programs. She was advised to put a credit watch on her account and hang up the phone if the salesman calls back.
    9:50 a.m., Jamestown — A person on the 18100 block of Sixth Avenue reported credit card fraud. There were several fraudulent purchases made in the Inglewood, Hawthorne and Los Angeles areas totaling almost $400.
 11:04 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 19000 block of Lambert Lake Road said $600 of fraudulent purchases were made on her ATM card. She said her bank has closed the account and issued her money back.
 11:17 a.m., Sonora area — Someone on the 16500 block of Foothill Lane said their credit card was fraudulently used.
    1:28 p.m., Columbia — A woman from the 23600 block of Marble Quarry Road was in the Sheriff’s Office lobby to report fraudulent charges made on her debit card.
    2:21 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman said someone threw eggs at her vacation cabin on the 23000 block of Oak View Drive. She told deputies that the last time she was at the cabin was for Thanksgiving.
    2:42 p.m., Jamestown — Someone on the 10500 block of Old Don Pedro Road said about $1,000 in fraudulent credit card charges were made.
    4:43 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 19800 block of Via Redonda said someone opened her mail, including a Christmas card, without her consent.
    9:26 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone said a group of about 15 teenagers were pushing and hitting each other in front of a restaurant on the 18700 block of Tiffeni Drive.
    10:25 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone on the 19100 block of Sunrise Drive reported nearly $1,000 of fraudulent charges made on a debit card.
TUESDAY
    2:24 a.m., Tuolumne — Security at Black Oak Casino said they found a bag of suspected drugs.   

Felony bookings

MONDAY
    6:16 p.m., Sonora area — Cheryl Ann Burton, 42, of the 1900 block of Sequoia Street, Ceres, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on Highway 108 at Highway 49.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY
    8:57 a.m., fraud — A man on South Barretta Street said fraudulent transactions were processed on his bank card totaling a little less than $5,000. He said the bank has reimbursed him but the transactions were processed.
    4:03 p.m., theft — Two juvenile girls were in custody for petty theft at a store on Mono Way. The girls were released to their parent’s, who agreed to handle the situation without further assistance from law enforcement.
   
The California Highway Patrol reported the following:

MONDAY
    6 a.m., Sonora area — A big rig truck jack-knifed on Wilcox Ranch Road and was partially hanging over a ravine. No one was injured and no other cars were involved in the accident. Crews had the road cleared for traffic by about 7:30 a.m.


CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY
    10:50 a.m., Mountain Ranch — Someone reported the theft of gear and radios on Francine Road.
    12:36 p.m., Wallace — A residential burglary occurred on Quartz Drive.
    4:07 p.m., Jenny Lind — A report was taken for trespassing on Chardonnay Place.
    10:09 p.m., Murphys — An arrest was made for public intoxication on East Highway 4.
