The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


1:39 p.m., disorderly conduct — A customer refused to leave a business on West Stockton Road. He eventually left before officers arrived on scene.

4:34 p.m., reckless driving — Someone saw three vehicles spinning in circles in a parking lot on School Street. Officers were unable to locate the suspect vehicles.

5:56 p.m., traffic accident — A hit-and-run accident occurred on School Street. The person reporting the incident said a witness would be able to give information on the suspect vehicle. Officers filed a report.

6:40 p.m., reckless driving — Someone saw a pickup truck spinning in circles in parking lot on Sanguinetti Road while towing a person sitting in a shopping cart. Officers checked the lot but were unable to locate the suspect pickup.

10:12 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Officers spoke with a man in a hospital gown walking west on Mono Way. They confirmed he had been released from Sonora Regional Medical Center. He was provided transportation.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:24 a.m., Columbia — A woman said that a man repeatedly called her residence on the 10900 block of Green Street asking for her personal information because he claimed to have a free medical alert system to deliver. She was advised not to release her information.

9:36 a.m., Sonora area — A 17-year-old student was cited on suspicion of possessing marijuana at Gold Rush Charter School on the 19400 block of Village Drive.

12:41 p.m., Jamestown — Someone said a business was burglarized on the 18200 block of Main Street. There were no signs of forced entry but $50 was missing. The person reporting the incident believed the suspect might be a former friend who had a key.

3:38 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 16500 block of Creekside Drive said someone attempted to open a Verizon wireless phone account in her name. She provided the suspect’s phone number.

Felony bookings


8:11 a.m., Sonora — Timothy-Paul Ian Vezina, 26, of an unknown residence, was booked on suspicion of burglary and drug possession, after an arrest on the 17200 block of Valley Oak Drive.

9:10 a.m., Sonora area — Thomas Walter James Sale, 27, of the 17200 block of Valley Oak Drive, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 100 block of Valley Oak Drive.

2:25 p.m., Sonora — Dakota Johnathan Hanson, 18, of the 300 block of Elks Drive, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Golden Street and Cemetery Lane.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


10:03 a.m., San Andreas — Someone’s neighbor on West Saint Charles Street was allegedly causing a disturbance by spitting on the ground and singing loud.

11:09 a.m., Douglas Flat — Someone tried to break into a truck parked on Sugar Pine Way and damaged the ignition in the process.

12:15 p.m., Angels Camp — A woman dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt was jumping into traffic at North Main Street and Copello Drive.

Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


12:11 a.m., Angels Camp — Erica Robin Henkel, 43, of the 1500 block of Finnegan Lane, was arrested on the 200 block of South Main Street.
