TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

8:39 a.m., traffic accidents — A yellow Ford Mustang convertible slid into a burgundy Honda Passport at South Barretta and Theall streets and both cars were blocking the road. Officers assisted with the information exchange between the drivers.

9:55 a.m., assault — A juvenile was arrested at Sonora High School on suspicion of battery on a public transit employee after allegedly hitting a bus driver in the head with a snowball Monday. The driver suffered a concussion.

11:18 a.m., burglary — A business on North Washington Street was burglarized sometime between Sunday and Monday.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:47 a.m., East Sonora — A woman, who reported her wallet stolen Monday on the 13700 block of Mono Way, said someone tried to use her credit card.

9:51 a.m., Jamestown — A package was stolen from the 19500 block of Rawhide Road that the post office said was delivered Saturday.

11:16 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man rented a room at a business on the 24600 block Highway 108 and allegedly left it in disarray. A coffee pot, towels, linens and a marble tray were stolen. Holes were carved in the table, carpet and chairs and a mirror was moved. Drug residue and a syringe cap were found but no other illegal items. The person reporting the incident said they would charge the man’s credit card.

11:47 a.m., Sonora area — A wallet was stolen from a vehicle that was broken into Monday night on the 22300 block of Geraldine Circle.

12:54 p.m., Sonora area — A chainsaw was stolen on the 18200 block of Berry Lane.

12:56 p.m., Columbia — Sheriff’s deputies were searching for a white Ford pickup with wood sideboards and a business name on the side that was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run accident about one hour earlier on 11100 block of Jackson Street.

1:36 p.m., East Sonora — A woman allegedly walked out of a store on the 13700 block of Mono Way with a $109 pair of jeans and didn’t pay.

2:33 p.m., Tuolumne — A vehicle slid off the road and into an embankment at Yosemite Road and Silver Spur Drive. No one was injured.

4:07 p.m.,  Columbia — A woman complained about Italian Bar Road being icy. She said two cars almost hit her while sliding sideways on the road.

5:41 p.m., Sonora area — A man said his wife was home alone on the 20200 block of Stanislaus Court and someone tried to break in through the front door. His wife said the dog alerted her to someone at the door. The alleged would-be intruder tried the door knob but the deadbolt was locked. She did not see the suspect.

8:36 p.m., Jamestown — A sheriff’s deputy helped someone get a possum out of a garage on the 10600 block of Oakmont Court.

8:36 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said her Xanax medication was stolen out of her bra while she was at a restaurant on the 18100 block of Main Street. She believed the pills fell out and someone picked them up.

7:59 p.m., Sonora area — Darlene Marie McNaul, 25, of the 24100 block of Ahwahnee Road, was booked on suspicion of first-degree burglary, possession of stolen property and drug possession, after an arrest on the 15300 block of Blue Bell Road West.

Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

TUESDAY

1:44 p.m., West County — Pedro Medrano Villalobos, 46, of the 1100 block of Marion Street, Manteca, was arrested on Highway 120 west of O’Byrnes Ferry Road.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:16 a.m., Arnold — Possible trespassers entered a residence on Middle Drive.

9:16 a.m., Jenny Lind — A mailbox was vandalized on Paso Drive.

10:12 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A vehicle was damaged on Old Gulch Road.

10:53 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A report was filed for a disturbance on West Murray Creek Road involving a resident who was yelling.

12:08 p.m., Valley Springs — A report was filed for a dispute between employees at a business on Highway 12.

1:56 p.m., Angels Camp — Someone was cited for throwing items into the road on North Main Street and almost hitting ambulance.

2:39 p.m., Valley Springs — Threats were made at a bus stop on Dunn Road.

3:32 p.m., Valley Springs — Men were going door-to-door on Silver Road asking for money to buy gas.

3:36 p.m., San Andreas — A home was broken into on Sunset Street.

3:39 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone stole a generator from the back of a truck on Double Springs Road.

4:24 p.m., West Point — Items were taken from a shed that was broken into on Egenhoff Lane.

4:30 p.m., Valley Springs — Mail was taken from a mailbox on Raindance Road.

WEDNESDAY

4:22 a.m., Angels Camp — A theft occurred at a business on North Main Street.

6:05 a.m., Sheep Ranch — A man accidentally dialed 911 while drinking with other people.
