TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY
    8:20 a.m., Big Oak Flat — A gas Dewalt generator valued at more than $2,200 was stolen from a Tuolumne County Road Department shop near the intersection of Wards Ferry Road and Highway 120. There was no sign of forced entry, and no suspects have been identified.
  10:14 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman on the 17800 block of Lark Drive reported fraudulent charges on her credit card.
    11:20 a.m., Sonora area — A woman said someone the previous night broke into her residence on the 20900 block of Shaws Flat Road and stole multiple items.
    4:11 p.m., Phoenix Lake — Someone near the intersection of Paseo de los Portales Road and El Coyote Drive said people were burning large amounts of plastic in the area but was not sure of the exact location.
 8:14 p.m., East Sonora — A caller on the 13700 block of Mono Way said someone stole their daughter’s iPhone. The caller said they have AT&T tracking the phone, which showed its location somewhere near the 200 block of Summit Avenue.
   
Felony bookings

THURSDAY
    9:30 p.m., Soulsbyville — Quito Thor John Schacht, 52, of the 17000 block of Mountain Side Drive, was booked on suspicion of assault and assault with a deadly weapon, after an arrest at his home.
   
The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY
    1:58 p.m., fight — A man in a parking lot on the 1000 block of Mono Way said he was in a verbal altercation with people in a vehicle parked next to him because they opened their door and hit his vehicle. The call disconnected and upon calling back, the man said the woman in the other vehicle pushed him and threw his cell phone. An officer arrived at the scene and none of the people involved wanted to press any charges.
 6:30 p.m., theft — A man said he had just purchased a home theater system from Walmart on Sanguinetti Road, but when he went to a nearly video rental store he forgot the system in his shopping cart. When he went back to retrieve it, the system was gone.
 8:34 p.m., fraudulent activities — A man on Morning Star Court said a person with a foreign accent called him claiming to be from Walmart headquarters and was going to send one of his relatives a gift card for being a valuable customer. The caller asked for the man’s credit card number in order to send the gift card for a small shipping fee. The man gave the caller his account information, but afterwards called his bank to close his account and requested documentation of the incident from an officer.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY
    8:40 a.m., Valley Springs — A garage and the vehicle inside were burglarized at a residence on Jensen Court.
    8:58 p.m., Burson — Deputies responded to a verbal altercation on Ferrari Ranch Road and made an arrest on a warrant.
    11:12 p.m., San Andreas — A man near San Andreas Elementary School was arrested on a warrant.
