The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


6:41 a.m., burglary — A business was broken into and money stolen on the 300 block of South Washington Street. 

8:25 a.m., hazardous situation — A vehicle was sliding, even while in park with the brake on on Hill Street. An officer and public works employees were able to safely move the vehicle. 

9:37 a.m., burglary — A business was broken into on the 200 block of North Washington Street. 

3:25 p.m., school assist — A bus driver was assaulted with a snowball at Sonora High School. The bus driver reportedly suffered injuries, but declined medical attention and prosecution. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


8:03 a.m., Jamestown — An apartment complex on the 10300 block of Willow Street was burglarized. An electric wheelchair was reported stolen and items including walking canes and a VCR were broken. 

9:03 a.m., Jamestown — A computer monitor was reported stolen from a burglarized business on the 18300 block of Main Street. 

10:06 a.m., Twain Harte — A flue fire was reported on the 23500 block of Lakewood Drive.

11:15 a.m., Columbia — A telephone fraud scam was reported on North Airport Road.

11:33 a.m., Sonora area — Someone in a tent was told to leave private property or face trespassing charges at Campo Seco Road and Crooked Lane.

11:49 a.m., Jamestown — A business was burglarized on the 18200 block of Main Street.  Items were reported stolen.

11:57 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman reported a fire on Mount Provo. 

12:26 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone reported his or her home flooding on the 18900 block of Middle Camp Sugar Pine Road. 

12:28 p.m., Sonora — A woman reported her wallet stolen from her purse while shopping at a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way. 

1:02 p.m., Jamestown — Vandalism was reported at the Jamestown Post Office on Main Street. 

3:23 p.m., Tuolumne — A student was caught passing out drugs at Summerville Union High School. 

4:11 p.m., Sonora — A man and woman argued on the 12700 block of Chukar Circle, but both said they were stressed from moving apartments after theirs flooded.

5:25 p.m., Columbia — A man reported people entering his home and moving objects and turning power on and off when he’s not home on the 21800 block of Parrotts Ferry Road. When an officer arrived, he said people had just climbed out the kitchen window. The officer could not find any evidence of the people.

10:58 p.m., Sonora area — A vehicle was reported on its side at Phoenix Lake Road and Paseo De Los Portales. A “Slippery When Wet” road sign was knocked onto the ground.

12:19 a.m., Tuolumne — Kenneth William Coleman, 54, of Denair, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


10 pm., Arnold — Someone was arrested on a local warrant on Chaparral Drive.

1:49 p.m., San Andreas — Don Alan Atencio, 33, of the 500 block of Gold Oak Drive, was booked on suspicion of battery with serious bodily injury and misdemeanor being under the influence of drugs after an arrest at the county Superior Court.

2:55 p.m., San Andreas — Noah Joseph Flores, 33, of the 400 block of Gold Court, was booked on suspicion of possession of concentrated cannabis after an arrest on the 100 block of Pixley Avenue.

4 p.m., San Andreas — Ami Pheonicia Carlin, 34, of Jenny Lind, was booked after an arrest on the first block of West Saint Charles Street. 

7:45 p.m., Angels Camp — Frederick Arbogast, 75, of the 800 block of Live Oak Drive, was booked after an arrest at Highway 4 and Foundry Lane.
