TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

8:15 a.m., theft — A theft was reported at a South Washington Street store.

12:17 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury accident occurred at a North Washington Street apartment complex.

4:19 p.m., theft — Two heating units were taken from a Columbia Way residence.

6:49 p.m., unclassified — Illegal dumping in a trash bin was reported at a Mono Way business.

8:35 p.m., disorderly conduct — An intoxicated man was cursing at people on Greenley Road.

SATURDAY

1:44 p.m., theft — Someone told police their prescription medication was taken from a Ruth Lane residence.

SUNDAY

4:09 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A man attempted to get into a parked vehicle on South Green Street.

5:49 a.m., weapons violations — Shots were heard in the area on Hospital Road. 

8:14 a.m., weapons violations — A person heard a gunshot on Mono Way and Hospital Road.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

12:34 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman on Middle Camp Road reported fraudulent use of her credit card.

1:03 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said an adult threatened her son at a bus stop on Belleview Creek Road.

2:28 p.m., Sonora area — A group of men cut wood at Red Heather Drive and Dulce Road without permission.

2:59 p.m., Sonora area — A car’s tires were slashed on American River Drive.

5:55 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman on Tuolumne Road said someone tried to shoot out her back window.

7:06 p.m., Columbia — A woman on Parrotts Ferry Road reported her Social Security debit card was stolen.

SATURDAY

12:51 a.m., Jamestown — A fight involving as many as seven people was reported at a Highway 108 business with at least one man reportedly pulling out a knife.

6:19 a.m., Jamestown — Multiple chainsaws were reported stolen from trucks belonging to a tree service company on Highway 108.

8:53 a.m., Jamestown — A woman said a dog chased her on Wigwam Road.

9:57 a.m., Sonora area — A downed tree on Wards Ferry Road was touching an arcing power line.

10:22 a.m., Jamestown — A possible fire was reported on Twist Road.

12:38 p.m., Twain Harte — A multi-car accident was reported at Highway 108 and Confidence Road. No injuries were reported.

1:05 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on Seco Street said she found her back gate tampered with and saw footsteps in the snow.

4:48 p.m., Groveland — A woman told deputies that someone came into her yard and smashed her pickup truck’s door with a piece of wood.

7:48 p.m., Columbia — A man was seen dumping a five-gallon bucket of snow down his chimney on Parrotts Ferry Road.

9:35 p.m., Columbia — Someone was reported to be trying to steal a light and pull it out of a wall on Parrotts Ferry Road.

10:35 p.m., Sonora area — A fight reportedly occurred between two women on Susan Way.

11:38 p.m., Jamestown — A fight reportedly occurred at a Highway 108 bar.

SUNDAY 

9:05 a.m, Twain Harte — A person bought a dog online and believed it was a scam on the 18400 block of Poppy Terrace.

3:31 p.m., Sonora — A person shot at ducks at a golf course on the 21400 block of Paseo De Los Portales Road.

7:31 p.m. Columbia — A man and woman fought on the 11300 block of Columbia Village Drive.

8:04 p.m., Twain Harte — A man and woman fought on the 18900 block of Huron Drive. 

MONDAY 

7:43 a.m., Sonora — A man threatened another man on the 17200 block of Mount Everest Court. 

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

12:39 a.m., Sonora — Rodney Keith Kulp, 43, of the 14600 block of Mono Way, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on Mono Way.

1:48 a.m., Jamestown — Thomas Bradley Huckaby, 43, of the 17100 block of Alderman Way, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of selling a narcotic, drug possession, and driving without a license after an arrest at Fifth Avenue and Highway 108.

SATURDAY

11:32 a.m., Sonora — Tyler Anthony Sherrow, 22, of the 300 block of South Main Street, Altaville, was booked on suspicion of vandalism after an arrest on Fraguero Road.

10:21 p.m., Jamestown — Louis Damon Elkins, 44, of the 10200 block of Preston Lane, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest on Preston Lane.

8:30 p.m., Soulsbyville — Ronald Michael Goodman, 25, of the 21800 block of Montgomery Road, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Longeway and Soulsbyville roads on Highway 108.

8:34 p.m., Twain Harte — Jeffrey Albert Hanson, 47, of the 23200 block of Highway 108, Twain Harte, was booked after an arrest on Joaquin Gully Road.

SATURDAY

11:08 p.m., Jamestown — Thomas Frederick Ritter, 24, of the 22600 block of Golf Club Drive, Twain Harte, was booked after an arrest on Donovan and Main streets.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

11:09 a.m., San Andreas — A stripped and possibly stolen vehicle was found on a Rocky Road property.

11:57 a.m., San Andreas — A man was found passed out next to a vehicle on Marshall Avenue.

4:53 p.m., Copperopolis — A dirt biker was causing a disturbance on O’Byrnes Ferry Road.

5:29 p.m., Jenny Lind — A fight involving a process server was reported on Warren Road and Highway 26.

10:08 p.m., San Andreas — A possible burglary was reported at a shed on Mariposa Street.

SATURDAY

9:59 a.m., Wallace — A mail box was opened and mail reportedly stolen from a Hospital Road property.

10:27 a.m., Valley Springs — Furniture was reported stolen on Hartvickson Lane.

12:15 p.m., Valley Springs — A man told police he found bedding and food in his basement on Daphne Street.

3:26 p.m., San Andreas — Hunters were allegedly using private property without permission on West Murray Creek Road.

9:45 p.m., Valley Springs — A burglary was reported on Highway 26.

3:35 p.m., Wallace — Solar panels were taken on Camanche Parkway. 

5:26 p.m., Burson — A fight occurred on Toreno Way. 

5:33 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A fight occurred on Jesus Maria Road. 

6:08 p.m., Wallace — A vehicle was vandalized on Wallace Lake Drive. 

6:08 p.m., San Andreas — A fight occurred at a business on East Saint Charles Street. 

6:17 p.m., Valley Springs — A fight occurred on Ross Drive. 

6:30 p.m., Murphys — A fight occurred at a business on Big Trees Road. 

11:23 p.m., San Andreas — A fight occurred on Toyanza Drive. 

MONDAY 

1:29 a.m., San Andreas — A fight occurred at a hospital on Mountain Ranch Road. 

1:52 a.m., Milton — A fight occurred on Gregory Road. 

Felony bookings 

FRIDAY

2:46 a.m., Valley Springs — Tate Lester Walker Hofstetter, 24, of the 2600 block of Heney Lane in Valley Springs, was booked on suspicion of recovering stolen property over $400 on Sequoia Avenue and Laurel Street. 

7:10 p.m., San Andreas — Anthony Paul Destefano, 32, of the 450 block of Sunset Street in San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of abuse, violating a restraining order, child endangerment and burglary in the first degree on Lewis Avenue. 

SATURDAY

7:30 a.m., Burson — Eric William Combie, 35, of Cleveland Avenue in Oakdale, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and a misdemeanor charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance on Highway 12. 

SUNDAY

10:53 a.m., Copperopolis — Mark Raymond Whiteley, 27, of the 340 block of Deerfield Creek in Copperopolis, was booked on suspicion of injuring power lines, false imprisonment with violence, kidnapping, probation violation and misdemeanor charges of being under the influence, possessing unlawful paraphernalia, in contempt for violating a restraining order and indecent exposure after an arrest at his home.

3:15 p.m., Tuolumne — Mario Raymond Espinoza, Jr., 58, of the 4800 block of Little John Road in Copperopolis, was booked after an arrest at the Tuolumne County Jail.

9:57 p.m., Copperopolis — Gregory J Porterfield, 26, of the 10600 block of the MJB Ranch Road in Copperopolis, was booked after an arrest on Little John Road.
