TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

9:57 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 12900 block of Chukar Circle said someone has been using her 13-year-old daughter’s Social Security number.

10:44 a.m., Sonora area — An employee of a drilling and blasting company working on the East Sonora bypass project at Highway 108 and Peaceful Oak Road suffered minor injuries after being struck by one of the company’s vehicles. He transported himself to Sonora Regional Medical Center with pain in his left leg and lower back. California Highway Patrol wanted the Sheriff’s Office to be aware that it qualified as an industrial accident.

11:46 a.m., Twain Harte — Someone on the 19300 block of Poplar Circle reported three fraudulent ATM charges totaling $2,500 via a business in Connecticut. The caller’s bank reversed the charges and forwarded the case to its fraud department.

12:19 p.m., Jamestown — Someone at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park reported a vandalism that happened either Tuesday or Wednesday when the park was closed. The caller said unknown suspects broke a display case and some windows. The caller believed the perpetrators must have injured themselves in the process because there was blood on the dock.

1:18 p.m., Columbia — A man said 200 methadone pills were taken from his house on the 22900 block of Knickerbocker Flat Road while he was in the hospital.

5:12 p.m., Sonora area — Someone threw a beer bottle through the front window of a man’s residence on the 23900 block of Pack Trail Road. Sheriff’s deputies noted there were no viable fingerprints on the broken bottle.

6:55 p.m., Sonora area — A man on the 22000 block of Belleview Road said one his neighbors on Cadenza Drive shot off a bottle rocket with a parachute attached. 

8:08 p.m., Sonora area — A man said a taxi driver was driving recklessly and intentionally tried to run him off the roadway at Highway 108 and Haystack Road.

11:36 p.m., Jamestown — An anonymous caller reported a fight involving three possibly intoxicated men in an apartment parking lot on the 10300 block of Preston Lane. They ran from the area on foot.

11:48 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 16600 block of Allison Way said her credit and debit cards were stolen and three fraudulent purchases had been made totaling $20.

THURSDAY

3:20 p.m., Soulsbyville — Sean Michael McConnville, 44, of the 20500 block of Charlotte Court, was booked on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs with three or more prior convictions, after an arrest at Willow Springs and Timothy drives.

4:41 p.m., Sonora — Agnes Puls, 58, of the 100 block of South Shepherd Street, was booked on suspicion of damaging a telephone or power line and a misdemeanor charge of stealing from an elderly or dependent adult, after an arrest in a parking lot on South Stewart Street.

6:38 p.m., Soulsbyville — Joseph Augustus Reese Jr., 65, of the 11300 block of Steiner Drive, was arrested at Oman and Lawler drives.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

5:25 p.m., public intoxication — A 19-year-old man was in the bathroom for about 30 minutes and not responding to people knocking on the door at a business on South Washington Street. He was later arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

8:14 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Unidentified suspects prank called the Sonora Police Department and Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office from an unknown address.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

12:09 p.m., San Andreas — Someone broke into a vehicle and attempted to steal it at the Calaveras County Water District office on East Saint Charles Street.

4:57 p.m., Valley Springs — There was a report of fraud on Didier Road.

6:26 p.m., Murphys — Someone called to report vandalism on Darby Russell Road.

WEDNESDAY

8:17 p.m., Mountain Ranch — A half-acre vegetation fire broke out on the 8000 block of Washington Street. State and local firefighters from San Andreas, Esperanza, Standard, La Cima and Central Calaveras Fire Protection District helped extinguish the blaze within about three hours. No injuries were reported and the suspected cause of the fire was from electrical power.
