The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


5 a.m., Tuolumne — A man was dressed in all black looking in windows of vehicles at apartments on the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road.

7:40 a.m., East Sonora — A man said his 9mm handgun fell out of his holster while he was using the bathroom at a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way. The manager retrieved the gun and returned it to the owner.

9:05 a.m., Crystal Falls — Someone found stolen property in a bathroom at Crystal Falls Park on the 21700 block of Crystal Falls Drive.

9:54 a.m., Sonora — A 17-year-old male called to report his heart was racing and admitted to using meth at Cassina High School on Barretta Street. An ambulance was dispatched.

10:58 a.m., Sonora area — A woman said unauthorized charges totaling $495 were made to her ATM card on the 14300 block of Edgemont Acres Road.

1:38 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said she $2,200 cash was missing from her purse after going to a friend’s house on the 20200 block of Grouse Way the previous night.

6:52 p.m., Tuolumne — A man said someone broke into his house on the 20400 block of Deerhaven Road and stole multiple items including his wedding ring and deceased mother’s jewelry.


7:04 a.m., Sonora area — A woman said someone stole a television from her residence on the 21500 block of American River Drive.

Felony bookings


9:20 a.m., Sonora — Thomas James Tischler, 51, of the 19000 block of Rawhide Road, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats, after an arrest in the lobby of the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office on Lower Sunset Drive.

12:06 p.m., Sonora — Danny James Norton, 28, unknown address, was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats and a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication, after an arrest in a parking lot on Sanguinetti Road.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


8:48 a.m., hazardous situation — A moving truck struck a telephone pole on Hope Lane. AT&T and Comcast workers responded and removed the phone line from the roadway.

3:34 p.m., burglary — A man made a fraudulent exchange through a recall of a product at a business on Sanguinetti Road.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:16 a.m., Copperopolis — Someone’s mail was “ripped open” and left on the ground on Arrowhead Street.

10:16 a.m., San Andreas — A theft occurred at a residence on Hathaway Place.

5:41 p.m., Mountain Ranch — Fraudulent credit card charges were made against on Old Emigrant Trail West.
