Sheriff's calls

YESTERDAY

10:26 a.m., Twain Harte — A man on Tiffeni Drive said his neighbor's mailbox had been vandalized.

11:34 a.m., La Grange — A man on Avenida Lugo North said the driver's window of his car was broken, and his cellular telephone, checkbook and flashlight were taken.

1:22 p.m., Wards Ferry area — A man on the 18200 block of Old Wards Ferry Road said a cellular telephone and a digital radio were taken from his residence.

2:06 p.m., Mono Vista — A man at 20591 North Sunshine Road said someone broke into his pickup and stole his socket set.

2:14 p.m., Pinecrest — A woman on the 100 block of Lakeshore Drive said people in a rental boat hit a kayak.

4:29 p.m., La Grange — A man on the 5100 block of Fuente De Flores said his vehicle was broken into and a lap-top computer was stolen.

4:37 p.m., Groveland — A woman said another woman could not leave a market because three other women were threatening her. She called back a few minutes later to say they all left, and everything was OK.

4:57 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man said there was a bomb — four sticks of dynamite taped together with wires and a switch — on the porch of the old Girl Scout Camp off Muheli Road. It turned out to be road flares taped together to look like a bomb.

6:12 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller said a 20-year-old man, possible drunk, was standing in the middle of road yelling, "Hit me, hit me."

9:58 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on Tiffeni Drive in Twain Harte said he heard a skateboarder making a lot of noise in the shopping center.

11:03 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10300 block of Preston Lane said two boys on skateboards had been asked to leave the front of her residence several times and had refused. They left when a deputy asked them to.

TODAY

2:56 a.m., Chinese Camp — A woman on the 9000 block of Six Bit Ranch Road said a vehicle was parked at the end of her driveway, and she could hear two men talking. She said they turn their lights off when a vehicle goes by.

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

3:14 a.m., Sonora — Evelia Manriguez, 32, no address, Sonora, booked on three warrants with bails totaling $170,000 after she was returned from Santa Cruz County, Arizona, where she was arrested. The warrants are for receiving stolen property, possessing and selling a controlled substance and failure to appear in court.

6:20 a.m., Jamestown — Mark Gregory Stanislaw, unknown address, Jamestown, arrested at 6:20 a.m. on Main Street in Jamestown on a Tuolumne County Superior Court Warrant charging him with failure to appear, theft or embezzlement of property and burglary. He was released Sunday after posting $10,000 bail.

SATURDAY

2:12 a.m., Jamestown — Harry Thomas Mitchell, 32, 17400 block of Jacksonville Road, Jamestown, arrested at Highway 108 and Main Street, Jamestown, on suspicion of burglary and making, drawing or passing a worthless check. He was released Sunday after posting $5,000 bail.

YESTERDAY

12:45 p.m., agency assist — A caller said smoke was coming from a swamp cooler at an undisclosed address on Theall Street.

4:28 p.m., theft — A caller said about 50 cents in coins was taken from the ashtray of an unlocked, parked vehicle on the 100 block of Hospital Road.

10:43 p.m., theft — A caller said $331 was stolen from the office safe of the Signature Stadium 10 theater on the 900 block of Sanguinetti Road.

11:34 p.m., vandalism — A woman said someone tried to get into her locked vehicle parked on the 100 block of Hospital Road.

11:38 p.m., traffic violation — An officer cited a 42-year-old man on South Washington Street at Bradford Avenue for driving with a suspended license.

11:55 p.m., public intoxication — An officer arrested a 48-year-old man on South Washington Street on suspicion of public intoxication.

TODAY

1:06 a.m., forgery — A 30-year-old man was arrested on the 13200 block of Mono Way on suspicion of possession of counterfeit currency.

2 a.m., public intoxication — Hospital employees on the 100 block of Hospital Road asked for an officer to help them remove two intoxicated men who had been in several times asking for pain medication. One of the men, 43, was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

David William Taylor, 52, 100 block of Linoberg Street, Sonora, arrested at 11:08 a.m. Friday on Highway 49 at Pesce Way.

Joah Anthony Gorden, 24, unknown address on Wataku Road, Tuolumne, arrested at 12:22 a.m. yesterday on Sequoia Lane at Highland Drive.

Christopher Leef Pelican, 21, 20100 block of Phoenix Lake Road, arrested at 12:34 a.m. yesterday at his home. He was also charged with having an open container of alcohol in the car and on a warrant for failure to appear.

Jason Lee Decaccia, 21, 11100 block of Racetrack Road, Sonora, arrested at 2:47 a.m. yesterday on Forest Road, Sonora.

Fires

YESTERDAY

3:40 p.m., East Sonora — A vehicle fire was reported on Peaceful Oak Road at the East Sonora Bypass. Oil leaking on the exhaust was the cause. Philip Weakly of Sonora owns the vehicle. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.

Sheriff's reports

SUNDAY

7:04 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A man on the 5800 block of Eagle View Drive was arrested for repeatedly dialing 911 and being verbally abusive to the dispatcher.

3:28 p.m., Burson — A caller on the 7800 block of Cabernet Street said a neighbor was upset that her son was arrested so the neighbor spray painted the word "liar" with an arrow pointing to the caller's driveway.

6:06 p.m., Tuolumne County — Deputies assisted with a bomb threat on Highway 108.

6:26 p.m., San Andreas — Money was stolen from Black Bart Inn on Highway 49.

7:03 p.m., Rail Road Flat — There was a disturbance between a landlord and tenant on the 1400 block of Rail Road Flat Road.

7:21 p.m., San Andreas —A person was assaulted by a nephew in the emergency room at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital.

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

10:35 p.m., Burson — Lorraine Dawson, 45, 3300 block of South Burson Road, Burson, booked on suspicion of possessing drugs and destroying or concealing evidence. Dawson remained in custody this morning at the Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.

SATURDAY

2:45 a.m., Valley Springs — William Ray George, 48, 1700 block of Crown Court, Valley Springs, booked on suspicion of possessing drugs. As of this morning, George remained in custody at the county jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.

3:30 p.m., Angels Camp — Jack Edward Walker Jr., 39, 300 block of North Baker Street, Angels Camp, booked on suspicion of stealing a vehicle, driving with a suspended license and possessing drug paraphernalia. Walker remained in custody this morning in lieu of $43,000 bail.

10 p.m., Wallace — Dennis Fritz Brown, 48, 7900 block of Cabernet Street, Wallace, booked on suspicion of making criminal threats. As of this morning, Brown remained in custody at the county jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.

SUNDAY

8:30 p.m., Rail Road Flat — Thomas Phillip Allen, 47, 1400 block of Rail Road Flat Road, Rail Road Flat, booked on suspicion of making criminal threats. Allen remained in custody this morning at the county jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Fires

YESTERDAY

3:20 p.m., Copperopolis — A small spot fire was reported on the 4800 block of Bayview Drive. A tractor hit a rock and ignited the flames. No damage was reported. David Paotua of Salida owns the land. CDF, Tuolumne County Fire Department, Copperopolis Fire Protection District and one helicopter, two air tankers and one spotter plane from Columbia Air Base responded.
