TUOLUMNE COUNTY Sheriff's reports TUESDAY 7:24 a.m., Standard A break-in was reported at Doherty Tire on the 19000 block of Standard Road. 8:18 a.m., Cedar Ridge A Visa card, a book and other mail delivered on the 24000 block of Hitching Post Road was reported stolen. 8:39 a.m., Sonora A 16-year-old boy reported missing from a Hospital Road home was later found in front of the Tuolumne County Behavioral Health building. 8:43 a.m., East Sonora Sierra Resource Management reported the theft of numerous items from vehicles parked outside Camage Road business. 9:32 a.m., Groveland area A duffel bag, CDs, a jacket and other items, together valued at $775, were reported stolen from a car parked off Highway 120 near Evergreen Road. 9:52 a.m., Tuolumne area A caller reported finding his 13-year-old daughter at a Tuolumne River campground party at which drugs might have been used. 10:38 a.m., Tulloch Reservoir A caller reported catching two men who had broken into his car parked on Tulloch Road South. He said the would-be thieves fled in a late model Chevrolet sedan. 10:50 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village The outside of Diamond Jim's restaurant, on the 24500 block of Highway 108, was reportedly sprayed with graffiti. 11 a.m., Sonora area A Lime Rock Drive landlady reported a former tenant threatened to burn her house down. 12:06 p.m., Tulloch Reservoir Deputies responding to a "red-button alarm" (life threatening emergency), reported by On Star found a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe from which the call had originated "unoccupied and secure" off Tulloch Road. 1:02 p.m., Copperopolis area The Calaveras County Sheriff's Office issued a be-on-the-lookout bulletin for a white 1991 Toyota Tercel belonging to a woman who left from Copperopolis for Merced on Monday but never arrived. 1:38 p.m., Sonora A 46-year-old man was arrested on misdemeanor warrants at the Tuolumne County Courthouse. 2:24 p.m., Twain Harte A caller from the 22800 block of Blackhawk Drive said a neighbor had been pointing an air rifle toward his yard. 2:40 p.m., Groveland area Groceries, a duffel bag, CDs, a CD player and other items, together valued at $425, were reported stolen from a car parked off Highway 120 near Evergreen Road. A window was smashed. 3:18 p.m., Jamestown Reports of a man outside a home on the 10600 block of Seventh Street turned out to be a squabble involving several kids, during which a BB gun was produced. 3:36 p.m., Racetrack area A caller from the 11000 block of Harrison Drive got into a dispute with neighbors over tree planting. 4:23 p.m., Twain Harte Teenagers were reported in the Twain Harte Village shopping center parking lot "reaching through open vehicle windows and stealing things." 4:37 p.m., Pinecrest A caller reported that his 37-year-old son, who was to drive from Pinecrest to Tahoe over the weekend, never showed up. 5:58 p.m., Cedar Ridge Mail was reported stolen from a box on the 23900 block of Stable Road. 6:33 p.m., Don Pedro Reservoir A wakeboard accident with injuries was reported from the Fleming Meadows Marina. 7:32 p.m., Cedar Ridge A Mt. Elizabeth Road caller reported hearing chain saws and suspected that juveniles were cutting trees. 10:19 p.m., Columbia area A Columbia Village Drive caller reported "a neighbor is banging on the walls between their apartments." 10:20 p.m., Cedar Ridge While a Mt. Elizabeth Drive 911 caller was reporting that his wife might be mentally ill, the woman wrestled the phone from him and hung up. 11:08 p.m., Twain Harte A caller said he could hear juveniles breaking windows at the vacant Twain Harte Inn. WEDNESDAY 2:37 a.m., Big Oak Flat A woman reported being "thrown down some stairs" during a fight at a Vassar Street home. Sonora police reports WEDNESDAY 5:07 a.m., vandalism A caller said a man wearing a dark green or blue shirt threw eggs at the Tuolumne County Courthouse on Green Street and ran away. 8:29 a.m., found property A caller found a black day-planner book on the 100 block of South Washington Street and turned it in to the police department. 11:19 a.m., traffic accident A caller said there was a non-injury traffic accident on the 1100 block of Mono Way, however an officer was unable to find any sign of a crash. 5:11 p.m., public fight A man on the 400 block of Greenley Road said there was a fight going on outside his apartment building, but before officers arrived, the people involved left. 8:53 p.m., peace disturbance A caller said the driver of a silver and blue vehicle kept driving up and down South Shepherd Street playing "boom box music" too loud. The caller gave a police dispatcher the vehicle's license plate number. Fire TUESDAY 7:30 p.m., Sonora A vehicle fire was reported at Sonora Crossroads Shopping Center on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. The fire in the 1990 Ford Astrovan was caused by a crack in the fuel line. The fire was extinguished upon firefighters' arrival. Owner of the car is undetermined. Sonora City Fire Department responded. CALAVERAS COUNTY Sheriff's reports TUESDAY 7:21 a.m., Railroad Flat A chain saw was stolen from a home on the 2000 block of Cemetery Road. 8:38 a.m., San Andreas There was an attempted burglary on the 400 block of West St. Charles Street. 10:02 a.m., Copperopolis A missing person was reported. The missing person later returned to his or her home on the 900 block of Morado Circle. 10:45 a.m., Valley Springs A 22-year-old man moving out of his family's home on Highway 26 was reportedly assaulted by his father. 3:14 p.m., Murphys A caller said a suspicious person was drinking beer in a truck at Murphys Community Park. 3:44 p.m., Valley Springs A cell phone caller reported 20 juveniles in a fight at a Lutheran Church on the 200 block of Highway 12. When the deputy arrived, the area was deserted. 4:02 p.m., Arnold A juvenile was cited for possession of tobacco at Big Trees Market. 7:01 p.m., Avery A caller on the 2000 block of Mokelumne Drive reported that go-carts were blocking the road. Arrests Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol: Mickey Wayne Miller, 22, address unavailable, Valley Springs, booked at 1:40 a.m. yesterday after arrest at Anderson and Baldwin streets in Valley Springs. |
