3:34 a.m., Big Hill area A possible prowler was reported at the Sierra Twain Harte mobilehome park, on the 16100 block of Big Hill.
10:55 a.m., Standard John Paul Frank Schowachert, 19, 45000 block of Cavalieri Road, Sonora, booked on suspicion of auto theft after arrest at Standard Park. Also arrested was a 17-year-old. According to the Sheriff's Department, the two on Monday night stole a pickup owned by Stuft Pizza from the Mono Village restaurant's parking lot. At 3:10 a.m. yesterday, a patrolling deputy spotted the white Chevrolet S-10 on Tuolumne Road near Aarondale Road and gave chase, but the two occupants jumped out of the truck and ran away. But the pair left items in the cab, which allowed deputies to identify them. The next break in the case came at 10:24 a.m. yesterday, when a caller reported two shirtless teenagers in Standard Park "picking stickers out of their pants." The pair turned out to be the suspects. Schowachert was held in lieu of $5,000 bail this morning.
6:17 p.m., Sonora Jonathan Stanley Penrod, 20, 20000 block of Turner Court, Sonora, booked on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale, drug possession and possessng a switchblade after arrest in the Timberhills shopping center parking lot. According to Sonora Police reports, a caller reported four people in a large SUV "smoking pot." Responding officers arrested Penrod, who was held in lieu of $10,000 bail this morning.

9:48 a.m., traffic accident An anonymous caller said an 11-year-old boy fell at the skatepark on the 400 block of Greenley Road and broke a tooth.
11:31 a.m., fraud An employee at Sierra Veterinary Care on the 700 block of Mono Way reported receiving bad checks.
3:11 p.m., found property A wallet with cash and a credit card in it was found at a business on the 100 block of South Washington Street.
5:13 p.m., fraud A man who lives on the 18500 block of Fifth Avenue, Jamestown, said someone stole a check from him and cashed it at a Sonora store.

9:24 p.m., traffic accident A man said he saw a car driven by a gray-haired woman hit a parked car on the 100 block of Old Wards Ferry Road. He gave officers the license numbers of both cars.
10:04 p.m., vandalism A man from the 22500 block of Quail Mine Road said his vehicle was vandalized while parked on the 600 block of South Washington Street.

5:07 a.m., vandalism A Sonora man said he saw the county courthouse on the first block of Green Street being egged by a scraggly looking man in a blue, short-sleeved shirt.
4:40 p.m., Sonora A vehicle fire was reported in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. Christina Day of Tuolumne owns the Acura. Damage was estimated at $15 to jumper cables. Sonora City Fire Department, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.
8:59 a.m., Arnold A swastika was painted on a stop sign at Barbara and Patricia streets.
