TUOLUMNE COUNTY The Sheriff’s Office reported the following: MONDAY 3:10 a.m., Sonora area – A 24-year-old woman was booked on suspicion of possessing hypodermic needles and driving with a suspended license, after an arrest on the block of 13700 Mono Way. 8:02 a.m., Groveland – A trailer with a generator crashed on Cherry Oil Road, creating an oil spill. 10:44 a.m., Crystal Falls – A man said he found a bag of crystal meth in front of his house on Nile River Drive. 11:37 a.m., Don Pedro – A man said that the back-up lights off his boat trailer had been stolen at Blue Oaks Campground on Bonds Flat Road. The man wanted to let law enforcement know that it was the second weekend in a row that lights had been stolen off of boat trailers in the area. 2:10 p.m., Sonora area – Two men were seen drinking beer while sitting under a tree near the Welfare Department on Cedar Road North. 3:51 p.m., Jamestown – A man said he was accused of talking on his cell phone while driving and sprayed with mace by a person at the Whistlestop on Highway 108. 4:28 p.m., Sonora area – A man and woman said that medication, lip balm and $10 had been stolen from their unlocked vehicle either at Walmart or Melones Lake. 6:24 p.m., Tuolumne – A woman said that a rattlesnake was on her patio at her residence on Canyonview Drive. 6:52 p.m., Sonora area – A woman said that two men were taking wire from the property behind her residence on Draper Mine Road. The woman said one of the men told her that he had permission to take the wire. 8:30 p.m., Willow Springs – A woman said that her neighbors’ children were throwing rocks at her residence on Willow Springs Drive. She said she wouldn’t speak to their parents because they are in a civil dispute over building a fence between their properties. Arrests Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs: MONDAY 6:54 p.m., Groveland area – Jason Matthew Mickele, 41, of the 10000 block of Pine Mountain Drive, arrested on 1S14 near Highway 120. The Sonora Police Department reported the following: FRIDAY 7:33 a.m., disturbing the peace — A man was chasing Public Works employees in Rotary Park on Woods Creek Drive and made a vulgar statement. 10:45 a.m., traffic accident — A hit-and-run driver damaged a vehicle on Southgate Drive. 11:44 a.m., traffic accident — A vehicle was rear-ended by a postal vehicle at Linoberg and Washington streets. 1:39 p.m., theft — A woman found some of her stolen property at a jeweler on South Washington Street. 6:08 p.m., burglary — Sometime Sunday night, someone entered a locked residence on McGowan Street through a dog door and took two books of checks and medication. The resident noticed a chair out of place Monday but didn’t realize there had been a burglary until she found out two forged checks had been written on her account for a total of $450. 7:32 p.m., burglary — A woman parked her vehicle on Mono Way near Greenley Road for about an hour. When she returned the window had been forced down and the car stereo was missing. 8:41 p.m., theft — A boy listed as a runaway tried to steal a bottle of gin from Save Mart on Stockton Road. The alcohol was recovered, but the boy escaped. SATURDAY 4:24 p.m., suspicious circumstances —A woman on South Stewart Street said she was outside and a stranger came up to her and said something to her about marijuana, either trying to buy it or sell it. SUNDAY 11:07 a.m., burglary —The old movie theater on Mono Way was broken into. Fire calls FRIDAY 2:17 a.m., Sonora area —Cal Fire units from Standard and San Andreas responded to a spot brush fire on the 20200 block of Clavey Court. No injuries were reported. MONDAY 7:16 a.m., assault – A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and battery after getting into a fight with another man near the restrooms at Rotary Park on the 400 block of Wood Creek Drive. 4:13 p.m., theft – A woman said that the front license plate had been stolen off her vehicle at the Sierra Village Apartments on Greenley Road. 7:34 p.m., theft – An employee of Applebee’s on Sanguinetti Road said that medication had been stolen from her unlocked property locker. CALAVERAS COUNTY The Sheriff’s Department reported the following: FRIDAY 9:21 a.m., Jenny Lind — A health and safety code violation occurred on School Street. 11:33 a.m., San Andreas — A health and safety code violation occurred on School Street. 11:42 a.m., San Andreas — A handicapped placard was stolen on Murraydale Lane. 1:47 p.m., Valley Springs — Theft occurred on Butler Lane. 2:42 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Grand theft occurred on North Main Street. 3:21 p.m., Glencoe — A burglary was reported on Highway 26. SATURDAY 3:24 a.m., Copperopolis — A robbery occurred at Little John Road and Quiver Streets. 9:16 a.m., Railroad Flat —Destruction of property was reported on Railroad Flat Road. 3:59 p.m., Valley Springs —An assault was reported at Mar-Val Foods on Highway 26. SUNDAY 12:16 a.m., Wilseyville —A home was broken into on Blue Mountain Road. 7:48 a.m., Railroad Flat —Battery was reported on Ridge Road. 1 p.m., San Andreas —Theft was reported from a home on Market Street. 1:17 p.m., West Point —A home on Cedar Lane was broken into. 1:52 p.m., Valley Springs —An altercation at a garage sale on Hartvickson Lane and someone ended up kicking a vehicle. 6:47 p.m., San Andreas —A caller said someone shooting turkeys with a BB gun almost hit a person. MONDAY 9:14 a.m., Valley Springs – A theft from a residence was reported on McDaniel Lane. 5:07 p.m., Copperopolis – An assault with a deadly weapon was reported on Sequoia Circle. 6:57 p.m., Valley Springs – A fight was reported at Jenny Lind Veterans Memorial District on Daphne Street. TUESDAY 3:03 a.m., Copperopolis – A trespassing was reported on Arrowhead Street. 3:52 a.m., Arnold – A suspicious bucket was left outside of the United States Post Office on Blagen Road. It was later determined to be a bucket filled with household paint. Felony bookings FRIDAY 11:07 a.m., Angels Camp —Jacqueline Marie Cosma, 48, of the 600 block of Stanislaus Avenue, booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, after an arrest on the 200 block of South Main Street. SUNDAY 11 a.m., Wallace —Laverne Elaine Lopachuk, 65, of the 7000 block of Petross Street, booked on suspicion of making criminal threats with the intent to terrorize, after an arrest at her home. SUNDAY 3:58 p.m., New Hogan Reservoir —Daniel Ricky Cavaco II, 26, of the 200 block of Main Street, San Andreas, arrested on Hogan Dam Road at Wrinkle Cove. 6:31 p.m., Rail Road Flat —David Paul Joseph DeHerrera Jr., 31, of the 12200 block of Jesus Maria Road, Mokelumne Hill, arrested on Rail Road Flat Road at Mechling Bridge. 7:35 p.m., Valley Springs area —Pamela Joyce Venable, 62, of the 1400 block of Gill Ranch Road, arrested on Gill Ranch Road north of Hogan Dam. Felony bookings MONDAY 11:20 a.m., Angels Camp – Lance Michael Watkins, 33, of the 200 block of Pine Street, Stockton, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on Highway 4 near Angels Camp. 2:45 p.m., Valley Springs – Richard Jensen Guay, 43, of the 4000 block of Driver Road, was booked on suspicion of forging or altering a vehicle registration, after an arrest near the intersection of Sequoia Avenue and Chestnut Street. 5:15 p.m., Copperopolis – Leah Elise Wisniewski, 21, of the 800 block of Sequoia Circle, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon that was not a firearm. 7:00 p.m., San Andreas – Joseph Frank III, 37, of the 1000 block of Gold Strike Road, was booked on suspicion of assault, destroying phone lines and violation of parole. 8:47 p.m., Burson – Benjamin Thomas Kerr, 25, of the 5000 block of Messing Road, was booked on suspicion of assault and attempted burglary. |
