The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


12:43 a.m., suspicious person — Someone notified police that a person had his or her pants down in the parking lot of the 100 block of West Stockton Road. Officers contacted a transient woman who had pants on, advised her of the complaint and asked her to move along. 

10:30 a.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone reported a suspicious person at a neighbor’s house on Elm Street.

12:51 p.m., resisting an officer — A man was arrested under suspicion of resisting an officer following his alleged refusal to leave a business on the 800 block of Lyons Bald Mountain Road. 

1:50 p.m., theft — A man was arrested under suspicion of theft with an enhancement of prior theft charges after allegedly trying to walk out of a store with a bottle of Jim Beam on 1000 block of Mono Way. 

3:59 p.m., burglary — A woman allegedly attempted to take a shopping cart full of groceries on the 700 block of Mono Way. She was arrested under suspicion of burglary and receiving known stolen property. The groceries were returned, however some of them were already consumed. 

4:49 p.m., false report — A woman said she saw a man take tags off a vehicle and put them on his own a week ago on the 700 block of Mono Way. She was arrested for filing a false police report. 

6:58 p.m., assault — A man allegedly assaulted someone on the 100 block of Columbia Way. 

11:33 p.m., trespassing — An officer checked a mailbox for a key someone reported left there. The officer didn’t find any keys, but arrested a man for disorderly conduct on the 700 block of South Washington Street. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


10:03 a.m., Sonora area — A report was taken for suspicious activity on the 17700 block of Buttercup Circle. 

10:08 a.m., unknown area — A woman reported that her brother “drives drunk everyday,” including to Campo Seco, the Blue Bell area, Soulsbyville and downtown Sonora. She called other local law enforcement agencies to give a description. 

10:19 a.m., Columbia — A camp trailer window was vandalized on the 11500 block of Yankee Hill Road. 

10:38 a.m., Sonora area — A woman without business cards or identification tried to sell solar energy on the 20500 block of Eureka Drive. The caller thought it was suspicious. 

10:43 a.m., Sonora — A woman was arrested on suspicion of battery of a spouse or person of romantic interest after several calls were made about disturbances on the 20100 block of Cedar Road North. 

10:52 a.m., Sonora — A man tried to sell a house he did not own on the 18300 block of Wards Ferry Road. 

11:35 a.m., Jamestown — Someone reported an argument in which a person reportedly said something about hitting a child on the 10300 block of Preston Lane. Officers confirmed the argument remained verbal and said the children looked OK.

12:39 p.m., Crystal Falls — A tenant on the 21600 block of American River drive refused to let a worker —sent by the landlord — into the house. The worker allegedly tried to force his way in, then checked outside doors. It was deemed a landlord-tenant issue. 

1:55 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 17900 block of Seco Street received harassing phone calls.

2:54 p.m., Sonora area — Someone reported possible elder abuse on the 14500 block of Peaceful Valley Road. 

3:37 p.m., Columbia — A woman said her ex-roommate threatened her cat, Happy, saying “I’m going to throw Happy of the Parrotts Ferry Bridge and Happy isn’t going to be so happy anymore,” on the 22500 block of Kennebec Lane.

4:44 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said her grandparents saw an older man walking up her driveway and when her boyfriend confronted him, he took off running on Mono Way from the 19400 block of Sullivan Creek Road. 

5:12 p.m., Jamestown — A young woman reportedly went to another woman’s house, yelled at her and broke a chair and window before going to a neighbor’s house on the 10600 block of Seventh Street. 

8:46 p.m., Sonora — A woman was arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license for DUI and a warrant for failing to appear in court on a DUI charge on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road. 

8:58 p.m., Sonora — Someone reported a possible assault on the 19900 block of Greenley Road. The person said the responsible party did not know what he did was wrong but she was mandated to report it. 

9:06 p.m., Tuolumne — A teenage girl was in a fight with her mother and may have a black eye on the 18500 block of Pine Street. 

9:23 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said her “ex” just walked past her and her child and slapped his open hand with his fist as he whispered something to his friend on the 18200 block of Fifth Avenue. This was a violation of a temporary restraining order, she said. 

10:13 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said youths egged her house and pulled into her driveway to play hide and seek on the 10000 block of Fallen Leaf Drive. 

10:28 p.m., Groveland — A man reported possible fraudulent charges on his debit card of $191.40 on the 18600 block of Main Street. 


12:42 p.m., Sonora — Someone reported a woman sitting underneath a street light, then walking up Martin Terrace Court. The caller thinks she “should not be in the area” and requested patrol. Patrol did not see her. 

1:17 a.m., Sonora area — A woman’s ex-boyfriend allegedly harassed her via obscene text messages and threatened her in person on the 8500 block of Wilcox Ranch Road. 

6:04 a.m., Sonora — Someone reported medication stolen on the 12800 block of Chukar Circle. 

Felony bookings:



8:38 a.m., Sonora — Crystal Lee Lacavera, 27, of the 5300 block of Agate Way, Sacramento, was booked on suspicion of violation of probation and misdemeanor giving false identification to a peace officer and driving with a suspended license after an arrest on the 300 block of Fairview Lane. She was also arrested on an out-of-county warrant for drug possession and receiving known stolen property. 

2:03 p.m., Sonora — Ralph Williams Posten Jr., 61, of the 200 block of Bonanza Road, was booked under suspicion of petty theft with prior theft convictions after an arrest on the 1000 block of Mono Way. 

4:12 p.m., Sonora — Brook Lea Walsh, 42, of the 21300 block of Phoenix Lake Road, was booked on suspicion of first degree burglary and receiving known stolen property after an arrest at Mono Way and Greenley Road. 




The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:



10:18 a.m., San Andreas — Someone dumped a large pile of garbage and personal mail in front of a business on the 600 block of East Saint Charles Street. 

4:33 p.m., Valley Springs — An argument occurred at a business on the 300 block of Highway 26. 

4:56 p.m., Valley Springs — A golfer allegedly jumped a fence to retrieve some golf balls on the 1600 block of Highway 26. 

5:20 p.m., San Andreas — Tires were slashed on the 100 block of East Saint Charles Street. 

7:18 p.m., Copperopolis — A man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and drug paraphernalia possession after an arrest at Copper Cove and Feather drives. 

7:44 p.m., Valley Springs — A man was arrested on out of county warrants for drug possession and receiving known stolen property on the 3000 block of Butler Lane.


Felony bookings:



12:17 a.m., Angels Camp — James Allan Pruit, 55, of the 3900 block of Highway 4, Avery, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor driving on a suspended license and being under the influence of drugs after an arrest at Vallecito Road. 




Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:



9:52 p.m., San Andreas — Mark Fletcher Peterson, 53, of the 5800 block of Old Emigrant Trail, Mountain Ranch, was booked after an arrest at Highway 49 and Pool Station Road. 

11 p.m., San Andreas — Justin James Dean, 24, of the 8200 block of Mokelumne Hill, was booked after an arrest at Highway 49 and Pool Station Road.
