The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


2:45 p.m., assault — An assault was reported at Courthouse Square on North Washington Street. The person did not want to press charges, but warned that the man would attempt to fight another person. A second call was similar, but alleged the first caller was the aggressor. 

3:17 p.m., fraud — Possible fraudulent activity was reported involving a Social Security number on Hill Street. 

4:15 p.m., unclassified — Someone reported elder abuse on Ruth Lane.

6:53 p.m., burglary — A house was broken into via a bathroom window on Banner Drive.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:03 a.m., Tuolumne — A man threatened a woman with his car after an argument at Carter and Baker streets, a caller reported. 

9:27 a.m., no location — A hiker on the Pacific Crest Trail was reported overdue.

10:26 a.m., Sonora — Someone reported a theft from a front porch on Red Chestnut Lane.

12:10 p.m., Crystal Falls — Harassment was reported on American River Drive West. 

12:12 p.m., Sonora — A caller said a man was passed out in a car with a meth pipe in his hand on Camage Avenue. He was gone when police arrived.

2:39 p.m., Jamestown — Someone called 911 to ask why buses don’t have seat belts. The person was given the number for California Highway Patrol. 

4:19 p.m., tuolumne — A woman on the 18400 block of Main Street said an ex-boyfriend called her and threatened to vandalize her vehicle and kill her dog. 

5:31 p.m., Groveland — Property owners and a tenant were arguing on Pine Mountain Drive. 

6:10 p.m., Sonora area — Fraudulent use of information was reported on Wildcat Ridge Road. 

6:59 p.m., Sonora — Officers assisted in locating people for Sonora Police Department near Banner Drive. 

7:58 p.m., Sonora area — A mailbox was reported damaged in Sunny Ridge Lane. 

Felony bookings:


3:02 p.m., Sonora — Nichole Star Wyatt, 27, of the 21800 block of Phoenix Lake Road, was booked on suspicion of grand theft, receiving known stolen property and conspiracy after an arrest on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

3:21 p.m., Sonora — Melissa Leslie Brown, 23, of the 16100 block of Hidden Valley Road, was booked on suspicion of receiving known stolen property, conspiracy and misdemeanor being a felon in possession of pepper spray or tear gas after an arrest on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

11:30 p.m., unknown location — Brandon Lee Smith, 29, a transient, was booked on suspicion of burglary, conspiracy, and receiving known stolen property.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


6:57 p.m., Groveland — David John Fuhlendorf, 61, of the 10500 block of Clarabell  Road, Oakdale, was booked after an arrest at Highway 120 and Ferretti Road. 


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


10:23 a.m., Murphys — A man was arrested on warrants for burglary, drug possession, intent to sell drugs and misdemeanor obstructing a public officer after an arrest on the 200 block of Tom Bell Road. 

10:47 a.m., Murphys — Someone said people were taking things from a bank-owned property on Nickerson Lane. Officers concluded they had bank permission. 

12:21 p.m., Copperopolis — A pit bull and small dog were running around the neighborhood growling at people on Feather Court.

12:30 p.m., Mountain Ranch — Someone reported a neighbor trespassing on Mountain Ranch Road.

1:17 p.m., San Andreas — Two calls came in about a verbal disturbance at Pole Street and Miller Court.

1:59 p.m., Mokelumne Hill area — A health and safety code violation report was taken at Salt Springs Reservoir. 

7:57 p.m., Copperopolis — A dirt biker was reportedly trespassing and had been told not to before at Copper Cove Drive and O’Byrnes Ferry Road. 

9:32 p.m., Copperopolis — People were shooting fireworks off of a boat dock at Lake Tulloch. a caller reported. 


4:33 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — A report was taken for a dispute between a landlord and tenant on Old Toll Road. 

7 a.m., Jenny Lind — Cash was stolen on Cabernet Street. 

Felony bookings:


7:46 a.m., Copperopolis — Kevin Bradley Scholtka, 26, of the 3500 block of Arrowhead Street, was booked on suspicion of second-degree burglary, receiving known stolen property and misdemeanor disorderly conduct after an arrest on the 3500 block of Signal Hill Trail. 

8:20 a.m., Angels Camp — Robert Thomas Zelmer, 28, of the 5700 block of Mountain Ranch, was booked after an arrest on the 600 block of Copello Drive. 

5:30 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Brud Andrew Kerstan, 22, of the 19500 block of Kerstan Lane, was booked on suspicion of rape by force or fear after an arrest at the jail lobby.


Cited under suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


7:50 p.m., Copperopolis — Edith Karclag, 70, of the 100 block of Quail Meadow Court, was booked after an arrest at her home. She was also booked on suspicion of misdemeanor obstructing a public officer. 

8:40 p.m., Valley Springs — Michael Allen Rice, 22, of the 100 block of Laurel Street, was booked after an arrest at Highway 12 and Lime Creek Road.
