TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

1:22 a.m., warrant arrest — An 18-year-old man was booked on a local misdemeanor warrant for obstructing an officer on the 1200 block of Sanguinetti Road. 

2:21 a.m., suspicious person — Someone was banging on a door on the 200 block of Greenley Road, but was not let it in due to the person “using drugs.” The person was gone when police arrived, but a description was given. 

6:51 a.m., suspicious person — A woman in a bathing suit was sleeping next to a garbage bin on the 1000 block of Mono Way. 

7:06 a.m., disorderly conduct — A man was acting unruly and refusing to leave a business on the 100 block of South Washington Street. Police asked him to leave.

7:43 a.m., disorderly conduct — The man from the previous incident returned to the closed business on the 100 block of South Washington and tried to gain entry. Police contacted the man, who then left the area. The man returned a third time and was again told by officers to leave.

8:03 a.m., traffic accidents — Someone reported a truck crashed into a tree on Alpine Lane but saw no one around. Police determined it was involved in a vehicle accident Saturday.

8:50 a.m., vandalism, property damage — A vehicle was vandalized earlier this month at Sonora High School.

11:38 a.m., traffic accidents — Someone reported hitting a parked vehicle in a lot on the 1000 block of Greenley Road. 

12:02 p.m., traffic accidents — A car hit a stop sign at South Stewart and Jackson streets.

12:15 p.m., vehicle theft — Someone was driving a motorcycle recklessly at Mono Way and Hospital Road and was involved in an auto collision. An officer located the motorcycle on Lytton Street and determined it was stolen from Murphys.

1:19 p.m., traffic accidents — A vehicle collision involving a motorhome was reported on the 100 block of North Washington Street.

1:30 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A computer scam was reported on Steffen Way.

1:50 p.m., disorderly conduct — Someone was taken to a child and adolescent psychiatric emergency unit after causing a disturbance in a group meeting on North Washington Street. 

2:41 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man in a cowboy hat was sitting in Courthouse Square with his pants around his ankles.

7:21 p.m., warrant arrest — A 55-year-old woman was arrested on local warrants for drug charges on Stockton Road.

8:29 p.m., vehicle theft — A stolen vehicle was recovered and stored in a towing lot.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

11:31 a.m., Jamestown — Identity theft was reported on the 7700 block of Ruth Ridge Road.

5:38 p.m., Twain Harte — People who were in the process of moving said someone entered their home and moved things around, but nothing appeared to be missing and there were no signs of forced entry.

6:32 p.m., Soulsbyville — A woman said her daughter stole all her money and credit cards from the 17200 block of Timber Drive.

7:16 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said her 5-year-old son tried to choke her daughter on the 20200 block of Sparrow Lane. A deputy spoke to the boy and advised the mother to contact Tuolumne County Behavioral Health.

7:35 p.m., Sonora area — A non-injury vehicle accident was reported on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

7:46 p.m., Tuolumne — A man said someone shot his cat, which his son found dead in a neighbor’s yard.

TUESDAY

5:35 a.m., Sonora area — A gas pump was vandalized on the 13000 block of Sanguinetti Road.

Felony bookings

MONDAY

12:50 p.m., Sonora area — Mitchell Loren Terrazas, 23, of the 15400 block of Paseo De Los Robles Road, was booked on suspicion of willful infliction of corporal injury after an arrest at his home.

1 p.m., West County — Matthew Vernon Cliburn, 31, of the 20300 block of Canyon View Drive, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs for sale at Sierra Conservation Center.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

MONDAY

12:05 a.m., Long Barn — James Paul Denver, 44, of the 500 block of Tusu Lane, Bishop, was booked after an arrest on Merrill Springs Road. 

12:50 p.m., Sonora area — Danielle Lee Homer, 36, of the 100 block of West Lytton Street, was booked after an arrest at her home.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

8:59 a.m., Valley Springs — A business on the 700 block of Hogan Dam Road was burglarized.

9:13 a.m., Arnold — A man damaged a trash bin at White Pines Park while trying to collect cans from it. 

TUESDAY

1:59 a.m., Copperopolis — A business on the 1000 block of Feather Drive was burglarized.

2:31 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — Fraud was reported on River Ranch Road.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

MONDAY

9:28 a.m., Rail Road Flat — Kyle Hart Schmidt, 34, of an unknown address in Rail Road Flat, was booked after an arrest on the 300 block of Rail Road Flat Road.

 

2:30 p.m., Valley Springs — Ami Phoenicia Carlin, of the 5800 block of Southworth Road, was booked after an arrest on the 6600 block of Garner Place. She was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of being under the influence of drugs.
