TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

2:16 a.m., suspicious person — A man wearing black was looking into vehicles on South Barretta Street. He was not located by police.

11:16 a.m., theft — Fuel was siphoned from a work van on Sanguinetti Road. 

11:17 a.m., drugs — Two men were cited on suspicion of smoking marijuana in public and one was cited on suspicion of an infraction of possessing under 28.5 grams of marijuana.

12:30 p.m., suspicious person — A suspicious man with gray hair and a large backpack was reported at South Washington and Lytton streets. He was identified and determined to be OK.

5:20 p.m., fraud — Possible fraudulent use of a credit card was reported on the 300 block of South Washington Street. 

5:27 p.m., burglary — A man left a business without paying for merchandise on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. 

9:25 p.m., traffic accident — Someone reported a hit-and-run on a vehicle in a parking lot on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. 

SATURDAY

2:27 a.m., public intoxication — Someone reported a fight at East Lyons Bald Mountain Road and Hope Lane. It was unknown if it was verbal or physical. Officers didn’t find a fight, but cited a minor on suspicion of being drunk in public and released him to a parent. 

7:37 a.m., break-in — A broken window was found at a business on the first block of South Stewart Street. Officers said the business looked secure. 

1:14 p.m., traffic accident — Someone said an older woman crashed into a vehicle and almost drove off the hillside on Alpine Lane.

SUNDAY

5:25 a.m., assault — Someone in the emergency room reported and assault. A report was already taken.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

10:04 a.m., Crystal Falls — A woman reported being harassed by her ex-husband over the phone from Idaho, where he now lives with his mother. 

10:59 a.m., Sonora area — A dispute about a shared driveway escalated to nails being thrown in the driveway causing flat tires on the 16100 block of Tuolumne Road.

12:32 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman reported being threatened by her granddaughter’s husband on the 18500 block of Madrone Street. She was advised of the restraining order process. 

2:12 p.m., Long Barn — A car was “scratched up” and received paint damage at Lyons Dam and Lyons Reservoir roads.

3:33 p.m., Sonora — A man reportedly told his sister he is afraid to go home from the hospital because his girlfriend will shoot him. The sister was advised the girlfriend would likely have to be evicted. 

4:37 p.m., Columbia — A woman said a man she knew may have put something in her drink, or in the “doobie” they were all smoking on the 23200 block of Italian Bar Road. 

5:14 p.m., Long Barn — Someone reported a smoldering campfire along Forest Road 4N90.

5:19 p.m., Columbia — A bicycle and ATV key were reported stolen from a driveway on the 23400 block of Gold Springs Drive.

5:55 p.m., Sonora area — Recyclables and plastic flower pots were stolen on the 21600 block of Wasatch Mountain Drive.

6:05 p.m., Sonora — An assault was reported on the 22400 block of Longeway Road.

9:04 p.m., Crystal Falls — Tires were reported stolen on the 16900 block of Tehachapi Court. 

10:37 p.m., Jamestown — A female minor reportedly ran away from the 10200 block of Preston Lane. 

10:49 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman said she kept hearing something like footsteps and “rolling around” on the back deck at a home on the 22800 block of Fuller Road. Officers located and moved a small bird. 

11:31 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone reported a person selling drugs inside a business on the 22900 block of Twain Harte Drive. Officers did not see any suspicious activity when patrolling. 

SATURDAY

2:01 a.m., Jamestown — Two people tried to kick in a door after it was locked at a business on the 18300 block of Highway 108. 

9:27 a.m., Sonora — Someone claimed a neighbor was running a cement mixer or something similar just to annoy people around Saratoga Road and Uncle Toms Drive. The person was not working on anything, the caller said.

12:41 p.m., Columbia area — Someone reported a hand sticking out of a moving vehicle possible aiming a small black handgun at another car at Highway 49 and Parrotts Ferry Road.

2:24 p.m., Don Pedro area — A fishing boat was either stolen or floated off at Lake Don Pedro.

5:20 p.m., Pinecrest — Someone was arrested under suspicion of being drunk in public at Pinecrest Lake Road and Dodge Ridge Road. 

5:48 p.m., Pinecrest — A man who had been drinking reportedly threatened to snap his girlfriend’s neck at Pinecrest Lake Drive and Dodge Ridge Road. 

7:35 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said her father came to her house and hit her on the 18700 block of Omega Mine Road. He reportedly has dementia and was taken home. 

8:03 p.m., Jamestown area — Someone reported being bit on the back of the leg by a neighbor’s loose dogs on the 14500 block of Tulloch Dam Road.

8:03 p.m., Jamestown — Someone reported his or her cat was just attacked by three dogs that come into his or her yard on the 11100 block of McKibbin Drive. 

9:24 p.m., Columbia — A man reported about five people prowling on his property on the 22700 block of Bald Mountain Road North. He said his dog “had to be pulled off of one” of the people this morning. This person has called in trespassers before that were never found.

11:03 p.m., Sonora — Youths were fighting, hitting each others’ cars and bashing in windshields at a party on the 12900 block of Beckwith Circle, a caller reported. Police saw no evidence of fighting or vandalism and a homeowner stated he would take control of the situation.

SUNDAY

2:03 a.m., Twain Harte — A caller said drunk teenagers harassed the clerk at a business on the 22900 block of Joaquin Gully Road.

11:05 a.m., Jamestown — A woman was reportedly wandering in a parking lot, spitting on imaginary people on the 18300 block of Highway 108. 

12:14 p.m., Jamestown — A woman reported her granddaughter used her identity as a co-signer to open a credit card on the 19000 block of Martha Lane. 

1:06 p.m., Columbia — A man said “prowlers were at his house again,” on the 22700 block of Bald Mountain Road North. 

1:11 p.m., Groveland — Someone on the 13100 block of Jackson Mill Drive said they were called by a woman they know who could “not talk very loud because there are people outside her window and under her floor.” The caller said if she called the cops that “the people” will murder her. The woman reportedly asked someone else previously for a gun to protect herself. 

1:27 p.m., Soulsbyville — A man reportedly threatened to kill another man if he keeps calling his girlfriend on the 20500 block of Willow Springs Road.

1:37 p.m., East Sonora — A rottweiler and pit bull were loose at Highway 108 and Peaceful Oak Road. Animal control was dispatched. 

1:56 p.m., Jamestown — A woman reported her purse just stolen from Rocca Park on Main Street and gave a description of the two women allegedly responsible. 

7:01 p.m., Sonora — Someone said two suspicious people, a man and woman, were on the 13800 block of Mono Way. The man had a suspicious tattoo and was carrying a knife, the caller said. The two told officers they were just walking by. 

7:30 p.m., Sonora — A man was arrested under suspicion of being drunk in public after he reportedly knocked over peoples’ drinks, saying “give me your money or I’ll kill you,” on the 13700 block of Mono Way. 

7:51 p.m., Tuolumne — Theft of a deceased man’s credit card was reported on the 20100 block of Tuolumne Road North.

8:02 p.m., Sonora — Someone said a group of youths have been setting up a tent to sleep on a school campus on Hidden Valley Road. Officers spoke to youths with sleeping supplies, but no tent, who said they were just crossing to someone’s house. Their names were taken.

10:55 p.m., Sonora — A woman reported being assaulted, but an officer concluded she invited a woman in for a fight and both were counseled for inciting violence on the 12700 block of Chukar Circle.

11:19 p.m., East Sonora — A woman was reportedly assaulted on the 13700 block of Mono Way. Witnesses said she spit in someone’s face and was pushed down. The officer counseled her on spitting on faces, but she denied doing it. 

11:24 p.m., Don Pedro area — A caller reported seeing flashlights and hearing jiggling door handles at a home on the 2700 block of Zarzamora Street. The caller said two men fled. Police were unable to locate them.

2:57 p.m., Jamestown — Michelle Lee Detamore, 25, a transient, was booked on suspicion of assault likely to inflict great bodily injury after an arrest on the 18700 block of Highway 108. 

3:13 p.m., Jamestown — Ruben Diaz Cortez, 41,of the 18300 block of Ninth Street, was booked under suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession after an arrest at his home. 

SATURDAY

12:10 p.m., Jamestown — Kenneth Dwayne Downey, 44, of the 14100 block of Tuolumne Road, Sonora area, was booked on suspicion of burglary after an arrest on the 18900 block of Golden Dove Lane. 

SUNDAY

12:43 a.m., Sonora — Alexandro Anthony Xavier, 20, of the 25700 block of East Highway 4, Farmington, was booked on suspicion of manufacturing drugs, misdemeanor driving without a license and two out-of-county warrants for providing false proof of insurance information and failing to appear in court on a felony charge after an arrest on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

4:55 p.m., Tuolumne — Daniel Ames Fleming, 38, of the 23400 block of Highway 108, Twain Harte, was booked after an arrest on the 20400 block of Canyon View Drive. 

SATURDAY

2:23 a.m., Sonora — Austin Lee Wilson, 21, of an unknown address on State Street, Columbia, was booked after an arrest at South Shepherd and Church streets. 

10:59 p.m., Jamestown area — Ashlee Rose Berchtold, 23, no address given, was booked after an arrest at Highway 49 and Rollings Hills Boulevard. 

SUNDAY

12:21 a.m., Tuolumne — Heather Brook Weller, 37, of the 16600 block of Sallander Drive, Sonora, was booked after an arrest at Tuolumne Road and Tuolumne Road North. 

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

9:42 a.m., San Andreas — A physical altercation was reported on High School Street. 

12:35 p.m., San Andreas — Someone saw a driver go down West Murray Creek Road with a load of garbage and came back up empty. The driver refused to pick up the garbage when the caller asked. 

12:37 p.m., Valley Springs — Petty theft and trespassing were reported on Hartvickson Lane. 

1:43 p.m., San Andreas — A wallet was stolen on Bargers Court. 

3:09 p.m., Copperopolis — An adult male was reportedly caught stealing alcohol on Spangler Lane. 

5:22 p.m., Arnold — Someone said in a 911 call, “I’m a serial killer and I wanna be taken in. Bye.” A deputy contacted someone from the address on Longman Lane who did not recall calling 911. 

8:45 p.m., Valley Springs — A report was taken for a disturbance on Daphne Street. 

11:17 p.m., Arnold — A cabin was broken into and items stolen on Jerrilynn Drive. 

SATURDAY

12:44 a.m., Valley Springs — Campers reported hearing a mountain lion near Hogan Dam Road. 

11:35 a.m., San Andreas — Someone called from the hospital about a battery a few days ago that had been reported.

2:56 p.m., Copperopolis — A caller was reportedly on 911 giving advice on international policy. The caller was counseled on the proper use of 911. 

10:20 p.m., Wilseyville — Someone heard gunshots and yelling new Lambert Lane and Sandy Gulch Road. A deputy was not able to locate anyone. 

SUNDAY

12:25 a.m., Burson — Someone said a group of campers was getting confrontational when being evicted on Wade Lane. 

12:26 p.m., Murphy — A customer reportedly hid high-dollar items and came back later to collect them at a business on the 1800 block of Six Mile Road. 

3:17 p.m., Arnold — A large bear was reported “near the apple tree at the playground,” at White Pines Park, Blagen Road.

3:27 p.m., Copperopolis — A break-in and destruction of the interior and appliances in a trailer were reported on Pommel Way. 

4:21 p.m., Copperopolis — A break-in was reported on Thompson Lane. 

4:22 p.m., Valley Springs — Identity theft was reported on Lazer Court. 

4:45 p.m., Angels Camp — Bags of trash, several boxes and a refrigerator were found dumped on a property on Running Springs Road. The caller said the trash included addresses of the owners. 

10:02 p.m., San Andreas — Assault was reported from the emergency room on Mountain Ranch Road. 

10:38 p.m., Hathaway Pines — Gunshots were heard near Candy Rock Road. 

10:48 p.m., Mountain Ranch — Someone said his or her daughter took a credit card and spent $80 on Whiskey Slide Road.

FRIDAY

1:44 a.m., Arnold — Ryan Whitney Bond, 32, of the 5000 block of Hillcrest Drive, was booked on suspicion of violation of probation and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession, driving with a suspended license for reckless driving, violation of probation and being under the influence of drugs after an arrest on the 2300 block of Fir Drive. 

SATURDAY

9:02 p.m., Arnold — Curtis Lloyd Blayney, 26, of the 2300 block of Chapparal Drive, was booked on suspicion of first degree burglary, attempted burglary and misdemeanor vandalism of $400 worth of property or more after an arrest on the 1200 block of Blagen Road. 

SUNDAY

8:59 a.m., Angels Camp — Kyla Rose Porter, 37, of the 600 block of Copello Drive, was booked on suspicion of inflicting a corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant after an arrest on the 700 block of Stanislaus Avenue.

11:35 p.m., Vallecito — Richard Edward Kislingbury, 68, of the 200 block of Sheep Ranch Road, Avery, was booked after an arrest at a Highway 4 access road and Borbe Ranch Road. 

 

SATURDAY

3:05 a.m., Copperopolis — Robert Karl Stewart, 22, of the 9500 block of Highway 49, Sonora, was booked after an arrest at O’Byrnes Ferry Road and Sanguinetti Drive.
