TUOLUMNE COUNTY The Sonora Police Department reported the following: Thursday 1:35 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A transient woman was reportedly loitering on the 1100 block of Mono Way. 11:05 a.m., fraudulent activities — A woman reported her card was charged $100 from the 300 block of South Washington Street after she had used the card earlier in the day. 1:11 p.m., animal complaints — A man on Lower Sunset Drive reported wanting to press charges against his next door neighbors regarding their animals. 1:41 p.m., reckless driving — A woman reported a vehicle almost hit her twice in the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road and then passed her. 1:46 p.m., fraudulent activities — A woman reported going to the Social Security office and being told that someone else had been using her Social Security number. 4:23 p.m., theft — A man was reportedly cited for shoplifting in the 600 block of South Washington Street. 9:32 p.m., assault — A man on Ayba Street said he was assaulted by a woman and after he was assaulted, the woman’s son held him down and they took his money. The Sheriff’s Office reported the following: THURSDAY 9:07 a.m., Groveland — A man in the 20000 block of Forestwood Way reported someone made fraudulent charges on his debit card in Southern California. 9:34 a.m., East Sonora — A man was reportedly camping at Cavalieri Road and Highway 108 in a red vehicle. He reportedly sleeps in a tent near the vehicle. 11:06 a.m., Jamestown — A woman went to the Jamestown Community Services Unit and reported sexual abuse in 2009 while a student at Sonora High School. 11:31 a.m., Sonora — A man in the 17000 block of Blue Bell East reported he has been on vacation but returned home to find his vehicle had been vandalized. 12:32 p.m., Sonora area — A resident in the 21000 block of Ridgeview Drive reported two men were trespassing on his property. 2:05 p.m., Sonora area — A man in the 18000 block of Avenida Bonita North reported $5,000 worth of fraud on his credit card. 2:50 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman reported there are three men who possibly live in the empty lot in the 22000 block of Joaquin Gully Road. 4:34 p.m., Soulsbyville — A man was reportedly sleeping on the retaining wall behind the Soulsbyville Post Office. 5:32 p.m., Sonora area — A burglary was reported in the 17000 block of Blue Bell East. 7:02 p.m., Jamestown — A resident in the 18000 block of Maple Alley reported there were four men throwing rock at the house, car and dogs. 10:33 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman in the 19000 block of Tuolumne Road North said her wallet stolen. FRIDAY 4:19 a.m., Sonora — A blue Dodge Dakota was reportedly pulling in and out of driveways near the 20000 block of Brook Drive. Arrests Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs: 7:36 p.m., Twain Harte — Michael Thomas Wood, 62, of Sonora, after arrest at Big Hill Road and Sawmill Flat Road, Twain Harte. Felony bookings THURSDAY 2:29 a.m., Chinese Camp — Darrel Kevin Deaton, 42, of the 520 block of Leon Street, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a crime and attempted grand theft after arrest at Shawmut Road, Chinese Camp. 2:29 a.m., Chinese Camp — Gregg Curtis Troedson, 47, of 11000 block of East Keys Road, Denair, was booked on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a crime and attempted grand theft after arrest at Shawmut Road, Chinese Camp. 2:32 p.m., Sonora — Michael Kenneth Kern, 19, of 22000 block of Bigler Street, Columbia, was booked on suspicion of possession of controlled substances and a misdemeanor count of possession of paraphernalia of controlled substances after arrest at Coffill Park, Sonora. 5:36 p.m., Jamestown — Jeff Joseph Coats, 49, of the 18000 block of Highway 108, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of indecent exposure after arrest in the 18000 block of Highway 108, Jamestown. 11:39 p.m., Tuolumne — Marc Raymond Houpin, 47, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant after arrest in the 16000 block of Buckhorn Mountain Road, Tuolumne. CALAVERAS COUNTY The Sheriff’s Office reported the following: THURSDAY 12:51 p.m., Arnold — Vandalism was reported on Highway 4. 2:38 p.m., Murphys — A man was reportedly living in his vehicle at Murphys Park on South Algiers Street. 6:05 p.m., Burson — A man and woman were reportedly in an altercation on foot at Evergreen and Southworth roads. 7:51 p.m., Copperopolis — A resident on Iroquois Circle stated a tenant pushed the caller down the stairs. |
